These 20 year old Zepto Bros. have used their previlege incredibly well! Extremely well spoken, humble, data driven and inspiring to all age groups!
Ghanta 😑
humble???? u should see how hhey spoke when nikhil was trying to give them advice
Humble are you sure humble 😂
They were born in a rich family, that's the whole point
Haters gonna hate it makers gonna make it
I loved Navya Nanda and Tara Sutaria's performance in this session. They reminded me of Charlie Chaplin.
What? Are you serious? Only 3 guyz were there! Were they doing lights and camera?
this is just a part of a podcast, listen to the full session for their inputs
@@tanishkaushik2882 did listen found nothing important in compare to the zepto brothers. Proper cheerleaders. 🔥
🤫@@tanishkaushik2882
😂, Thanks to these podcast, we trust less Indian start up eco system
This podcast was extremely interesting, I love how Nikhil just chips in a bit to steer the conversation and mostly lets the zepto guys talk
I don’t even know , how to thank you for this content. For 21 year olds to have this kind of insight on business is amazing❤
Where do you think he got these insights from? Who are his parents, friends, and network?
look ate their family background
@@rudratomar1158 bc idhar m 25 ka ho gaya abhi mere ham umar log mujhe bacha bolte h 😮
It is still amazing, regardless of their family background, isn't it? These guys have used their resources extremely well to build something valuable, that's really amazing.
@@GareebNavas
What valuable
What is the difference between Zepto, Blinkit, Swiggy, they are just coping !!
Nikhil Kamath is an intelligent guy, doesn't matter what type of business he is talking about, he has strong basics and a very clear understanding of core roots.
he dropped out of highschool and started his business at like 16 something so ofc he's gonna have good basics. Hes really someone our generation should look up to.
Very inspiring. India needs more such young talents. Full on energy
Zepto posted Rs 142.36 crore revenue in FY22 with losses of Rs 390 crore.
😂😂😂
Even the market leader in that category isn't profitable
Their losses are definitely gonna decrease
😂😂
Tara sutaria and navya raised some really valid points !!
Ya bro
Nikhil was spot on with all the questions. His question will help answer a great amount of people are interested in Startups. No jargons were allowed also, which is excellent.
Yeah!
Superb.. a lot to learn from these young energetic entrepreneurs...hats off to them... may they achieve greater heights and inspire many young kids...🙏👍❤️
The minute details conveyed in this conversation is truly spectacular.
I still don't think Zepto will work out. But hats off to these lads for using their Stanford creds to raise more than a quarter hundred million while not even attending the damn school.
You are slowly proved wrong, quick commerce is turning out to be the biggest thing
I thought the same years before, today rely on Zepto heavilyl
Great Format to see these discussions, fantastic work ! I love the clarity in which things get discussed here , the questions and the follow ups questions are like I also wanted to know this. First of its like talk show!
Not even the whole episode. Just a portion of it. Yet, multiple learnings. I'd reckon, more of these episodes from diverse fields, we wouldn't need an MBA. we now know, the success metrics behind Quick Commerce now. Nikhil has proven that a good podcast/interview stems from asking meaningful questions. Always on point

Very good interviewing skills…thanks for sharing this content!
A good insightful podcast, so much to learn, unlearn and learn again and again.
Can I just say how helpful this entire channel is. Thank you so much for this, it has resolved so many doubts which I had. I wish we could ask questions too like in a Google form or something well categorised cause people still might choose to fill it out for timepass
Kuch khass nahi hai iss channel mein
I really enjoyed this video. This video has taught me in many lessons like how to overcome a problem and how to run a business in successive manner. I really inspired this person because at the age of 21 he build an empire with his skills its an amazing. The most liked part in this video has he explained how to sort out the delivery problem and also the speed of delivery. Finally i really enjoyed this podcast and its very lengthy video but it doesn't bore any of the area and very engaging and once again thank you Nikhil Kamath clips for the wonderful podcast and we are eagerly waiting next podcast to learn something new.
Bro the empire needs to churn out profits. Too early to give a judgement given that many other D2C companies have bitten the dust.
Why this feels like an Interview with Nikhil 😂
Amazing to see the intellectual smarts of these (very) young founders ....
Muje to gawar jahil lag raha hain . Tv pe engrez o ko dekh dekh ke bas spoken english sikha h bolna..or kuch nhi..
bhai ye sab nakal hai ..zepto ka business model main asie kaun sa cheez unique hai bata do
Nikhil excellent questions to the zepto boys AND they were truly very ontop of their game ... like through the roof kind of clarity !!! Amazed to learn - This is what the 1%-2% of the 20yr old demographics reflect in todays world - woww.Great insight ...
Holy smokes! every word they uttered felt like smart. Placebo overplayed since (maybe) I already know they're 21, founded unicorn, or spoke with such fluency. Damn! Good luck Zepto.
💯
Extremely grateful to watch such an amazing podcast, it's just top notch.
Its such a great interaction, that when a viewer has any sorts of questions popping in their mind while listening to this video, and what a coincidence, all those questions were literally asked by #NikhilKamath just like a new to these words or process.. like AOV n all. And question of Nikhil were On Spot. Amazing video.. and WTH those ladies were doing there than laughing?🤷🏻♂️
Excellent conversation
Insightful and exploratory podcast. Thanks! Such conversations help improve signal to noise ratio in the entrepreneurial ecosystem in our country, in the process evolving the ecosystem. Also the way you unassumingly probe / dig / investigate is great and useful for customer discovery and PMF. Thanks!
Also the founders were bold / confident enough to reveal their business details. Kudos!
Amazing interview
Brilliant. Thanks for this
Thank you for this wonderful podcast.
That guy is SMART!
Nikhil asks so good questions, thanks mann
All the podcasts from this channel are gold min
It's so good to watch people like my age building businesses
Sessions of about 15 - 25 mins are more relevant and engaging .
Questions about abbrevations what is that ? N all are super . For beginner , intermediate and advanced audience .
Increase the length time probably 1 hour can also work i will watch it surely .
Barbershop by shantanu was doing around 70 - 100 k of watch views for around 1hr + videos . Now they focusing on their business side and have deteoriated in content delivery .
Only competition left is Nikhil kamath clips . So just bring in guys of different industries probably one at a time and create , learning for us.
So much learnings hatts off
LOved the EP ,
Money + Connections + Brains= These guys
Very inspiring and insightfull
I don't know if they really talk like that or it's just for the video. But if I heard this without a video, I would think Nikhil is 21 years and both the 21 yrs are around 35 by listening to their voice.
awesome content ... need more like this
Amazing guys!
very insightful
Good content. Will be good if guests are allowed to complete their answers before being cut off for next question.
Thank u sir for the amazing content
Hope to join u. Asap
Loved it🎉
00:05 Born in Bombay, moved to Dubai, and experienced a sheltered but fun childhood
02:08 Two Indian kids in Dubai took a year off during the pandemic to explore opportunities.
04:04 Started as a pickup and drop service, scaled by building an app
05:42 Started company with 40 lakhs investment from Contrary Capital
07:27 Started a Marketplace business in 2020
09:19 Launched app with low average order value and set up customer support center
11:25 Improving delivery speed and distance positively impacts operational efficiency and customer retention.
13:20 Company experienced rapid growth and secured significant funding
15:02 The company raised $500 million in their fifth round
17:00 Majority of revenue is from inventory sales
18:56 Consumption of groceries accounts for a significant portion of US GDP.
Within 2 years of business, both the co-founders are left with 25% equity only. By the end of 2025, it may become 10% or even lesser. Imagine the founders owning less than 10% what energy and skin in the game they will ever have to make a profitable business. No wonder Tech startups are maximum burning stations.
I want to do something extraordinary in life , so that i got a chance to come to your podcast
Zepto will go bjyu's way
Amazing episode.
He should have specific guests related to a specific field. otherwise it's perfect
As an avid online shopper, zepto, etc can't give prices that Flipkart gives
Great content.. thanks 🎉
@Nikhil Kamath can you do a podcast on waste management coz I think we can reach out to so many ppl who talk about global warming, let’s talk about the real issues on the ground.there is so much , the ppl, community, brands, government needs to do but no body wants to do it together. So why not talk about it?I can really give you a good insight into the ground realities and nothing in the air🙂
Customer Product Market Fit then Economics Part of Market Fit
Insightful.
Now left with 25% equity. So using funding and gradually their equity will go to 15, 10% and gradually gets sold to investors
thereby making hundreds of crores of exit
I think you have to interrupt them less. Otherwise the conversation is great.
They are insane... They really have knowledge about their domain...
To have such understanding people pays huge amount of money for there education. The real deal to solve a market problem n boom you need not need any degree. Just pure hard work and will power.
All the best zepto : )
I guess starting with no understanding of your market is a total lose. You need to understand the area, circumstances, quality of the product, customers needs based on their feelings and lots of stuff. You can't just open a store and sit
for that you need a stable background too
Zepto brothers are naive that’s what Nikhil was trying to tell them but their naivety didn’t let them listen
What is the person in white shirt saying ?
Its the best podcast
It’s impossible to make money out of grocery delivery business in india . Until and unless customers are not ready to pay 200% more on each product. Do the math of delivering a Soap of 50/- rupees within 2km and you will get the answer
Did he say north of 5000 crores? The numbers online are much different
crash course on the Indian retail sector. thanks
Basically these are rich young kids that have built a loss making company who are giving gyaan now. WOW
They are young kids 😂😂😂
Bhai yeh Zepto wala banda Elon Musk ki Vibe deta hain....speaking style and accent too...face b match kr rha hain...Agree?!!
Awsome Content Nikhil.....Hope Zepto will be profitable soon, BUT i think its NOT possible by current Business model.......Respect from Bangalore...
Everyone said the same about Zomato.
Swiggy instamart and blinkit are competitors
nai hone wala bhai.. dunzo ko dekho dukan khada kr dega kuch din..main
People came here for Tara Sutaria but stayed back for the Zepto brothers.
Because tara is old
Superb 🔥🔥🔥
Nikhil is salivating in reprise that he missed this as an opportunity
He doesn't give a fuck. He's a billionaire in US dollars in India.
Smart kids , zepto or any , I tried in yc 2017 along with other fellowship , yes money helps , being from lower income 1st gen , all alone learning , btw I had build a small company as partner which (5-6 month logistics company (10cr revenue) later left them , .
Not Today. But One Day I Will Part Of This Show ❤
👍👍
Amazing
Love them
Great episode
Power of online Kirani shop is incredible.
I'm a bit curious about what Tara is doing here? 😆is she an investor or an attraction?
your mom is the attraction here
@@nihinkcmxhfwnhi tara is not young she is 28
Hope ur in it for a long time
the secret is being privledge
What’s the privilege?
In this country goods delivery companies will never make profit. Its not history but present and future.
Another example of a startup just looking for valuation and not profitability. Quick commerce with low margins and very low AOV is very difficult to be profitable and will be restricted to metros.
I am feeling like same as those girls giggling backstage for no reason
Both boys have good voice 🤯
Kids
What is Tara Sutaria doing in this discussion?
Why Tara here
Watching only for Nikhil. Zepto will collapse if they don't go IPO, where they can get more money fooling common man.
Doesn't matter, first run a start up and then judge, easy to criticize hard to do
Do all these startup founders have same deep voice? 🤔
Microphone
10:20 if someone wants to apply for Y combinator
Why Is Tara Sutaria Present There🤣
Aur jo white dress me hai wo bhi actress hai kya... pata nahi dono interview me kaise..
Glamour ka tadaka
she is amitabh bachhans granddaughter who runs an ngo or some organization and does a lot of work in rural india for women if im not wrong@@shreyas3612
Bcz nikkhil wanted diff perception of each individual of industrial relevant experience
Because Nikhil want to conversation with her and reason behind This he want date with them
One day Nikhil, i am on your podcast , wait
good luck
great podcast but nikhil needs to listen actively and pay attention to kv as well.
Nikhil wants to know all the secrets of the business so that he can start a new business 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I am 25 but they look older than me 😮
This is insane a 20-year-old guy has built an Unicorn , wow
great videos
godaamnn her look!!! kaun h ye pari
10min groceries delivery is marketing strategy you will never recieve products in 10 min it took 30min in this Chennai traffic both are good marketers
