- This is the less enjoyable part of fall - rainy season. The leaves are falling fast now, with cold night temperatures, rain and high winds and I have to choose my work projects depending on the weather.

It's crazy how a situation/person can attempt to put a whole damper on your life and hard work only to turn everything around and make your life and achievements even more wonderful. I know it's been said over and over, but you truly are an inspiration to us all, and thanks for the continuing and awesome journey.

Not sure if your wife would be up for it, but I'd love to watch her (even without narration) do food preservation, just as much as I enjoy seeing you build.

I remember when you polled the channel about what your content should be. I love the main channel, I love seeing the progress. But explaining what you're doing while you're doing it? That's just the best. A few weeks ago some of that slipped into the main channel and it was magnificent.
the roof is complete.. the rest is gravy.
So how do you like the sound of your metal roof with the rain. Ours is very soothing and lures you to sleep.
Thanks Shawn, you've been an inspiration to me when I was working on my square log cabin and built the roof structure alone this summer. Someone else on another channel said the same about you, sometimes building alone is difficult and you just want to give up.

As I look over your shoulder, at the door, with the open space around it, I am sitting here at 75 F in my jacket (amazing how age makes temperatures feel less) listening to your rain and getting the shivers. AND still envying you and your place there. I really admire what you are doing Shawn. I am kinda hanging on your coat tails and enjoying it all. Thank you for your great narratives and superb videography. I am really enjoying this.
A lot of work yet to do, but you've accomplished so much this year already. 2023 might be your best year yet.
