  • What can you get with 12 Fat Quarters? A quick and easy Quilt. For each 2 fat quarters, you will get 3 quilt blocks. So how big or small the quilt will turn out is all up to you:) We used a bundle of 12 fat quarters for our pansy quilt. How many are you going to use?

    The simple statement “for every two fat quarters you will make three 12 inch blocks” made me want to watch the entire video. I wish everyone was that specific! Thanks!

    Love this idea. Been quilting since 1976. We didn't have rotary cutters and matts, fatquarters, or great instructors like you. Every block was drawn with pencil, cut out by scissors, and sewn with a needle and thread. I always keep a project using these skills but love a quick quilt to give or donate or just change decor in a room. Thank you for sharing.

    The fabric combinations are beautiful, thank you for explaining and displaying the many pattern combinations for the fat quarter pack. It's not always easy to "break up" the pack or decide on a suitable pattern for such a variety of patterns and colours. This suggestion encourages confidence to dive right in. Jess

    Hi Laura, your comment regarding the addition of fat quarters is absolutely me. Whenever I go to the local shop I have to buy fat quarters and also add in a group in a parcel usually consisting of 6 fat quarters. I was wondering what I could use them for other than making small gifts for family members. I knew someone would inspire me and you certainly have. That is a fantastic quilt you made so I thank you sincerely for showing me my next step. Thank you from the UK

    • @SewVeryEasy
      @SewVeryEasy  Před 5 lety +1

      I know it really sounds funny. In Canada, we buy fabric by the meter. Which means our fat quarters are fatter!! It is a 1/4 of the meter, not the yard.

    This is really Beautiful! I have been keeping a fat quarter bundle (22 fat quarters fall design) for more than 2 years, and I don't know if they are enough for a queen size quilt. What do you think Laura? Maybe adding coordinated solids? Thank you very much for your answer.

    • @SewVeryEasy
      @SewVeryEasy  Před 8 lety

      I don't think 22fq would be enough for a queen size, as a general rule I use 10 yds for a queen size quilt. So I would think you would need 5 yds of solids. I think you could make a twin with the 22fq plus a border.
