i use my zillion stitches all the time! im a mess at free motion and any project too big is too heavy (osteoporosis)
decorative stitches make everything doable--and fun!

+Donna Morton That's a good idea:)
You are just Great! Thank you
What a great idea! Thank you for sharing - great explanation and examples too. :-D
I love watching your videos, you show and explain things so clearly. I have made many things but never a quilt but having watched the video I might give it a try. I am so new to quilt making I have a question that may seem daft so I apologise but the finished quilt in the video do you have to do anything to the edges and do you have to attach it to somthing as it will be thin to touch n feel, do hope you can understand what i trying to say. Thank you😀
After the top is done, I would just quilt it just like any other quilt.
Hope this helps:)
Incredible, WOW. I love it. From uk
Hello from Canada:)
Very nice thank you for sharing.
thanks for watching
wow I love everything you do, instead of the decorative stitches can they be used for quilting that way it will be complete
Great idea! thanks for sharing

definitely clean and oil machine partway through.
Thank you!
+JulieJSchmidt Oh yes, please clean half way through:) you machine will love you!
Excellent mam.nice design...india
Love this. How did you end up quilting this so that you didn’t lose the decorative stitches?
I have not quilted it yet, but I want to just stitch in the ditch with a clear thread :)
I love this so much, thank you ❤️🌸🌼
Laura, I love your tutorials, you have a natural way of communicating the instructions. I just discovered them this morning, watching your wedge pillow tutorial. I do find myself rushing to the end to see the final result, would it be possible to show that at the beginning so I would have an idea of the end result while I'm following the directions?
I will keep that in mind:) thanks for letting me know. You can however see the finished project in the thumb nail pictures.:)
+SewVeryEasy thnx. the next two I watched did show the item first. sorry for my impatience. still watching!♥
haha no problem:) I like to know what everyone wants, so thank you for that and enjoying watching
This is beautiful! Thanks
✿♥♥✿♡WONDERFUL WAY TO ADD DECORATIVE STS!♡✿♥♥✿
+Bonnie Konjevich I hope you give it a try
Great project. How did you secure all of the layers together? Edge to edge quilting? Hand quilting? Tie method?
Stitched in the ditch 😊
Laura, thank you for a beautiful quilt! I'd like to try your method, although I'm very new to piecing, etc. My question is, when you add the wash away stabilizer, does it matter which side you place against the fabric? I like the idea of using the stabilizer so that the curved top is nicely and neatly finished!
I would not put the stabilizer on the right side, just in case all of it does not wash away.
This is awesome! Thanks ❤️
Beautiful!
I would like to subscribe. I really enjoyed your tutorial an thanks for your time.
Thank you and welcome:)
Lovely.
+Pebbles Walk Thanks glad you like it:)
Laura, I have to say I have always thought the fan quilt was beautiful but looked hard to complete. Love the way you make this look simple to accomplish! What are the dimensions of this quilt & how much fabric is needed to complete this beautiful quilt? Love the idea to use so many fancy stitches!! Thank you :-D
I glad you like it. The body of the quilt is 36" x 42" with 7 rows 6 blocks each row. ( without borders) I used 8 fq. and two yds of white, thanks for asking
I love all of ur work and I love the way u explain everything in such a sufficient manner💕🌟💕
Do u hold any classes? I live in LA
All of ur projects are beautiful 🌹
Thank u,
Thank you and yes I do travel and teach. Most of my classes are in Ontario Canada
muy hermoso saludos desde mexico es maravilloso
thank you and hello from Canada:)
Such beautiful quilt Laura.would u recommend trimming the back of the quarter circle to reduce the bulk? or just keep it?
+Buthy ful If you can yes. That is why a water solvable stabilize is great:)
Love it.
+Christina Sullivan Thanks Christina
Laura, I have a lot of fan pierces I inherited from my best friends grandma. I finally know how i can use them. Thank you so much!!! My only question is, what type of stabilizer did u use in this video? Stabilizer, interfacing, and the such is my weakness. Could u help me please? Thanks, Talena
Btw ur work is absolutely phenomenal. And ur tips are priceless too.
try to find a wash away stabilizer. like this amzn.to/2Ppf750
Great,i love it....
Beautiful! Love the fan design!! Can you use substitute the soluble with another interfacing just as well?
you can but it will just be a little thicker:)
I would go with a very thin interfacing. Thank you! :)
Hi I love this pattern, how many fat quarters did you cut at a time?
+Maria Contreras I cut about 4 at a time. With a sharp blade you could cut more:)
guaooooo, tremendo trabajo, me encantaria hacerlo
thanks
