I owned the Faeries Oracle and rehomed it because some of the images were unsettling. I had a reading with it recently and now your video appeared. It might be time to reconsider.
Heart of Faerie is my favorite deck for relationship readings. They actually dig deeper than you might think. Thanks for doing a video about them!

I really enjoyed hearing about your intimate experience and relationship with each of these. I too, have both and find them very different. My experience with the heart of fae differs slightly and has it's nuances to what you shared, but I really feel the difference in connection too. I don't feel as invited into a relationship with the heart bunch, like I do with my faeries oracle. I confess, I use my faeries oracle much more than the heart.
I loved the reading you did, it was a great example of how they can kind of sing the same tune at times, but the energy of what's offered varies. I understand what you mean about the palpable energy, that vibration from the deck. I don't get it from many decks, but do have a sort of similar experience with my medicine cards too. Anyways, this was fun. Thank for you sharing, it prompted to me to do a shared reading with both this eve and was insightful.
I’m a newbie. The Faeries Oracle is my first and only oracle deck to date on your recommendation. When you said “they’re earthy”, my Virgo love of them made sense. The stranger the image and the more unusual the faery, the more beautiful I find it. They speak clean, which I prefer but they have been kind so far.
My Heart of Faerie is tough love for sure. She knows stuff....
Haha! So true, they “wind me” too, only pull them out for very particular reasons, don’t want to disturb them otherwise. No other deck like it.
This video could NOT have been more timely. I had an inquiry about the Heart of Faerie which I thought I was ready to let go fo, but I just wasn't sure.. I still need a bit more time to consider. I keep hesitating... waffling... changing my mind. I feel so much more connected to the Faeries oracle.. it speaks so much more directly to me. It used to be the reverse.... Heart of Faerie felt more approachable.. but years and years later, Faeries feels like the one and only that I need. And what you said about how they eventually 'let you in' makes SO much sense. Thank you!
How cool that you could borrow the oop Heart of Faerie Oracle. I have the other one and have only used it a handful of times but Faery Guide, the blank card, keeps showing up. Earlier today, I finally took ten minutes to sketch what I envisioned for it, but only on paper. It's an intriguing deck for sure. It feels like earth and water to me, too. Thanks for this comparison!
Loved this video and I really agree, I have both decks, got both when first released respectively. The first deck talks, chatters, sings, jibes, and is very blunt. The Heart of Faery deck is not easy for me to read. The first deck talks all day long to me. I love that deck. And it definitely gives a push back when answering. I too feel they are alive energies. For the first deck I never use the text. I wrote my own from just working with them. And you’re right they will answer anything. Great video!
Damn! You made me do it! 😂 I love Brian Froud's art. He really seems to capture true fairy energy, but I had not gone looking for an oracle until I saw this. I'm trying to only buy decks that really speak to me and this looks like it will. I need to stop watching your channel! 😉
I’ve owned this one for over 20 years too. I was 22 when I bought it. That makes me laugh out loud because little me had no idea what I was getting myself into😂. Needless to say it went unused for many years until IT decided I was ready.
I dreamed of a creature that I later found in the book bad faeries / good faeries and I said to buy the oracle.I asked about the dream and the answer was not clear but rather they jumped with various tips totally not about my fairy (they told some truths but a bit personal).Anyway, irritating answers that you understand later or as if they were telling you a truth through a lie ...
Thinking about this. I have both decks but only used ❤️ of Faerie. I would have described it to you, the way you described Faeries to us. When I first started using ❤️, it felt like she had read my diary, if I had one. It was like the cards were saying, right away Hey, we know you so don’t try to get anything past us and don’t be looking for us to corroborate anything you’ve already made your mind up about. Don’t sugarcoat anything because we already know. Honestly, I would have used Faeries by now but I’m a little worried she’ll get mad 😂
ahhhh, the faerie decks. i had the faeries oracle back in 2000 and kept it for quite some time, but had to move it along. i love the artwork, but came to realize that i don't like oracle cards which don't have helpful keywords. i never could understand the "singers" either. they seemed to be extra terrestrials. i never did get the other deck. in fact, i moved all of my fae and fairy decks along.
I'm so glad that i own both of those decks, they are amazing. Did you notice the numbers on the two cards that you pulled? One is #7 and the other is #16, 1+6=7.
