- At over 900 pounds, the Timber Carry separates the Strongmen and Strongmen who have tremendous grip strength. It is also an event that highlihts strength and speed with a load.
No straps are allowed on the Timber Carry at the 2018 Arnold Strongman Classic.
The test is to get up the ramp with the timber frame faster than anyone else. It is inevitable that some will not make it to the end so in those cases a distance will be used to calculate points for the round. - Sport

I loved this event. Used to be one of my favorites. Still loved it after they started using the straps, but without the straps is even better. Got to have a test of hand strength in a strongman contest. Great to see this go strap free again. Really good call. Keep this event strap free.
