I love how people don't know or always say "Jax got metal arms and no reason was given in part 3 he just has them now" when in his MK3 bio states he got them specifically for Shao Kahns invasion. In the original timeline he never gets dismembered it's a choice he made to help himself be more prepared.

Yeah, I completely agree about Jacqui's ending. Many loving parent(s) would absolutely hate the idea of their child sacrificing themselves for them. Whilst it's written as a noble and selfless sacrifice from Jacqui's POV, if Jax were to ever find out this event (Perhaps as another form of torturing the poor man), it might just be the breaking point of his remaining sanity.
Im a single dad of two one my biological son and the second i adopted after her mom my ex died. After my ex died lost the will to go on. Needless to say my kids is what kept me going. A child ending themself wouldnt help Jax at all. truth be told i look forward to being a grandpa and one day seeing my wife in the next life and telling her about our kids.

Yeah there was another way she couldve kept existing, she could’ve made it to where vera and Jax met and fell in love BEFORE HE DIED, and then make it to where he doesn’t die.
Realistically, having your arms torn off is way more painful that having them froze off. Cold eventually kills all nerves and basically you don't feel a thing. However, having someone pull your arms off is straight deadly in a very painful way. Muscles overlap and connect to different bones. Even arm muscles have connections to the neck, the chest and the back. So chances that the arms will come off perfectly at the joint is impossible. The way Goro tore jax's arms off would mean that it would tear part of his chest, back and neck (and yes, with bones too), killing him instantly after a ton of pain.
That's mk logic for you, I think ermac is more realistic because he didn't Rio his arms off he made them explode

Well he is satisfied with serving Kronika that’s his whole thing he was meant to just be the fodder henchmen but got more recognition for his character than its actual purpose, Geras is a character with so much potential he could’ve been the best new character added next to Kotal if NRS didn’t suck ass at writing, it’s not that nobody talks about Geras it’s that so much has already been said about him since day 1

This. Warner Brothers is fucking racist. When Netherrealm was Midway, Jax was the best character in MK2. He was still good in MK3. Now all of a sudden he gets his own fatality performed on him constantly, to the point we never get to see him do his own fatality until the 2nd cartoon (after complaints)... then constant humiliation. Then Geras is a SLAVE!?!? Tanya is constantly a traitor and then gets whitewashed, Jacqui kills herself apparently, and Kai we never even see again... Funny how only the white people survive Sindel's rampage in MK9.

Jax is my second most favorite character in the series. Right next to Sub-Zero, Jax is one of the characters in MK I truly vibed. I just want this man to have a happy ending for once.

I talked to John Parrish many years ago about Jax arms. He mention it used to take hours to paint his arm. Now his daughter can do it within 20 minutes. The power of technology has made it easier.

Scorpion in every timeline is killed alongside his family and clan, and then ressurected as a tool of the neather realm besides the 2021 movie.and in the original timeline he doesn't get his clan back and stays on the bad side.

Yeah, the "trauma exposure" writing strategy. I saw this a lot in college when people didn't know how to create a character that related to people. It seems like the writers needed one more person to join the bad guys and decided retconning Jax's story would be the ticket. It's the same lazy writing that produced secretly evil Sindel so I'm not surprised in the slightest.

I've been thinking of all the shit Jax has gone through in the games. And a few days later this comes out. How ironic
What does Jax, Kung Lao and Scorpion have in common? They all get tortured the most in the MK series. Jax getting his hands ripped off, Kung Lao always dies and Scorpion always fails to avenge his family.
Scorpion gets his revenge against Quan Chi in both timelines. In the original he hunts QC down like an animal and constantly tortures him. In the NRS era he gets to kill him outright. Scorp even gets revenge for his own death in both timelines by killing Bi Han.
Despite that I'd still say Scorpion gets screwed over a lot. QC had hired him for the same mission as Sub Zero, setting him up for failure. Get's further manipulated by QC. Get's screwed by the Elder Gods. Has his clan qiped out twice (after trying to rebuild it). Then killed again by bug lady.
I guess some people from Mortal Kombat are fans of Family Guy, in almost every universe Joe Swanson loses his legs just so it lines up with the way he'd known.
I feel so sorry about Jax in all three Netherrealm games, cause the man can literally catch no break. I personally love Jax as a character and he's one of my favorites!

Just wanna say I really enjoy Jax's personality redo in MK11. In MK9 and X it was like he felt no emotions other than anger, contempt, and distrust. Sonya got similar treatment and it's definitely for the better. They just seem so much more human now.
I didn't realize someone had to lose their family and become anxiety ridden to feel more human. Seems like a good way to write yourself in a circle when the only concept of character development you can come up with is exposing someone to trauma.

I always was asking if Jax lost his arms prior to MK Deadly Alliance, but guess he didn't until the NRS era, Same goes with Kenshi, I kinda wish Kenshi and Ermac had a rivalry where, Upon opening the soul well and burst of souls come pouring out, Ermac is among the charge of the blast and just blinds Kenshi. IDK it was just my fan theory for them.
Seriously Jax originally had cybernetic metal arm sleeves in the original timeline over cybernetic limb replacements in the Nether Realm reboot.
12:22 heck i'd honestly say goro's was more gory than sub zero's. Sub zero's just had the advantage of live action which human brains associate more to the real thing happening. Easier to sympathize with and ponder the pain he is in.

Don't get me wrong, I love how they remade mk as "mk9". However I think they ruined alot of characters plots and abilities just in that one scene with sindel. I know she's very powerful but taking on like 7 characters at once and not getting a scratch is a bit questionable. I think netherrealm could have done the story for mk9 alot better considering that sindel isn't that powerful. They just wanted to make it all about lui Kang and even he dies easily at the hands of raiden... smh

I am happy I am not the only one who hates how they changed Jax and his entire character in MK11, in MKX he is like a battle hardened soldier who feels remorseful for his actions while he was a revenant even though nothing was his fault and he eventually gets back into action to do some quality character development and gets some revenge on Quan Chi for making him go through this while punching the living shit out of the strongest MK characters in their revenant forms while shooting one liners out of his mouth like a bazooka. After all that we see MK11 Jax that cries his little eyes out and goes on to betray everyone he loves including himself because he is suddenly very upset and traumatized for no reason when in MKX he wasn't even remotely close to anywhere there and pretty much got back at Quan Chi.

jax is the strongest guy in mk 2. i was beating every single fighter with jax who ever may play with. the ground shake was the key for my medals in the competition,un blockable full screen and very fast to perform

As someone who only got to witness season 1 of mk legacy, as far as ik Jax didn't lose his arms completely to kano's grenade, they were just critically damaged. It might've been said that he lost his arms completely in season 2 but idk

Scene idea for a Jax ending, Jax climbs to the top, but is ambushed by Sindel. Catching him off guard, she blasts off his cybernetic arms. However, pushing through, Jax lunges forward, and slashes her throat with the jagged metal. Unable to use her screech and bleeding out, Jax finishes her off with a crushing stomp to the head.

Not sure why you chose the title you did, especially given the arm pun train you were doing pretty good on.
But Scorpion definitely suffered more. Alot more. Scorpion lost his entire clan, and immediate family. He became a slave, got Ls he didn't really deserve, and worst yet, in some versions; he himself caused the lose of the chance to have his entire clan restored. Talk about face-palming all the way back to the Nether Realm. You yourself said the writers chose to make Jax a nervous, miserable, backstabbing wreck, it was artificial and I agree. In addition, as tragic as Jacqui's fate is, that was for us. Jax will NEVER know it happened so it essentially never happened as far as Jax is concerned. He would never feel the pain of his child sacrificing herself for him because it never happened because she never existed. See how ridiculous it is getting and was obviously meant to be a gut punch for us alone? The closest thing he might, MIGHT feel is something missing in his life, but even that feels like the writers manipulating our heartstrings because how can you miss something you never experienced? Do you miss that hippopotamus you knew for 70 years? What about that trip to the Nth Dimension where you also started your own family and died happy and fulfilled after meeting your grandchildren a generation later before being brought back into our world with the experience intact? No? Exactly. Time traveling ripple effect mumbo jumbo only covers so much. All that said, back to my main point regarding the title; surprised you didn't go with "The Most Disarmed Character in Mortal Kombat History". 😏
I do believe Scorpion suffered more. Hell, I'd say Jerrod suffered even more than Scorpion given all that happened to him! For starters; Jerrod and all of his fellow fallen warriors are forever trapped within Ermac (a torturous fate I cannot even begin to fathom) his kingdom usurped, his traitorous, slut wife; and his own undead slave daughter!

You mean “The Most Traumatized” not “tortured” because MKX and MK11 Jax was severely traumatized from remembering wrong doing under Quan Chi’s influence while MK9 Jax was tortured for the beginning of the story and that was it. I’m not counting the arm ripping from Ermac as torture because he wasn’t in captivity when that happened

Ok, so PTSD doesn't work like you said... I'm a veteran who lives with anxiety and depression and when I say that shit came outta nowhere... I was home for years living good, and one day, the pain of a toothache caused a full-fledged panic attack. Panic attacks that continued every time I felt any sort of pain... I went from fight thru the pain to pain completely debilitating me and not knowing why or how I got this new kryptonite... so it is very likely that Jax, as a no-nonsense whupass champion, could have his anxiety and depression come outta nowhere and blindside him like it does most veterans... even if it's not how he would usually get down... that's why it's a big deal irl in the first place... more veterans eat their guns than expected, and usually its the strong ones that nobody thought would do that
