    Thank you guys for always coming back and in this video,it’s all about the trendy,classy, elegant kaftan bubu dress.
    You start by placing the fabric into two folds and then another fold making a total of four folds.
    Next, you mark out the desired length with the fold edge allowance included and then you mark out the vertical measurements which includes the breast point, under bust,half waist (which might not be necessary) and the shoulder to hip.
    Next,you mark out the horizontal measurements which includes the shoulder divided by two, the pleat measurement which is right inches and another five inches for the sleeves.
    After the mark outs, you iron out the folds , cut out the excesses and next you proceed to the back neckline markings and cut out.
    After all these, you open up the fabric to cut out the front neckline and stitch the facing on it.
    At this point, the embroidery is next and for the finishing, you insert the sleeves and fold the down part and that concludes the making of this beautiful Kaftan Bubu Dress.

    Thanks ma for this tutorial ma.Pls ma my client want slit infront and also pocket at the side and her hip is 49 and shoulder is 16.will 5 be enough for me to add after the 8 inches pleat.Thanks ma for quick response

    • @chystylingoutlook8924
      @chystylingoutlook8924  Před rokem +1

      Thank you Janet for asking & I’m so sorry my reply came a bit late.
      If your client wants a slit in front, that means the front would have a joining at the front and that means you need to add an extra one inch to the front measurement to accommodate the slit allowance unless you just want to cut the front open and then tape with bias which might not give a good finishing .
      The pocket can always be fixed at the sides , it’s not a problem at all.
      For the hip and shoulder measurement,as long as you divide the body measurements you’re working with accurately as explained, you’re good to go. That means that after division, the 5inches is still enough.
      I hope my explanations are well understood. You can always get back to me if there’s any challenges as you go. Thank you

      Thanks so much ma for your response. Pls ma since am using africa print for this style though it has 1 pleat.pls can I use 6 inches for my pleat instead of 8 inches so that I can still have sleeves. Thanks for all you do ma

    • @chystylingoutlook8924
      @chystylingoutlook8924  Před rokem +1

      @@Cinematic-u4n Yes you can use 6inches, it will only make the pleat smaller than using 8inches.

    But it really came out so nice in this silk Adire, please what other fabric can you recommend if I don't want to use feasible? Also what is this type of embroidery called? I will like to make this dress soon, Thanks for sharing.

      Thanks Civility for watching.
      You can use other thicker fabric like cotton,linen,African prints(Ankara),chinos or even jean fabric if you cannot handle the softer ones which might be more difficult.
      I look forward to your finished attempt.

      @@muyideennafisat5089 It’s the “boss lady” for me😀.
      In response to your question,you’ll have to add to the lenght of the Ankara to give you your desired length. That is,after folding out the total width required, you cut out the left over and then join it to the length of the Ankara to get your full length. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for watching

    Ma please in the case I want to attach a zip to it how can I achieve it with this cut together method?

    • @chystylingoutlook8924
      @chystylingoutlook8924  Před 2 lety +2

      If you want to attach a zipper, then yours don’t have to be a cut together. The front would have to be separate from the back so you can have a joining at the shoulder and then can add your zipper allowance to the back(if that’s where you want the zipper)

      To fold the hem,what you need do is to loosen the pleat upward(if you pleated all the way to the fold edge or hem)to the point that will enable you finish up the hemming then you can finish up the pleats as well. I hope you understand. Please do let me know if you understand
