Welcome back ladies and gents to another Redragon Review. Today we are looking at the newest keyboard from Redragon. The Vata K580. This keyboard features RGB lighting, Macro keys, Otemu Blue Mechanical switches which are removeable. There are also dedicated multimedia keys with a scroll wheel which controls your brightness and volume. This is one review you don't want to miss out on.

Sonar have you had any experience with the Razer cynosure chroma? I’m looking at both keyboards currently but just received a discount that would make the K580 $50 whereas the Razer is $60
@@Tonyboy2342I am using the Vata now, and at this moment I would have no complaints! This is a great keyboard with amazing back light! I have no experience with the cynosure but I can tell you that the Vata is really good!

I have been looking for RGB Keyboards with macro and so far this is one of what i liked. question is for the macro keys, is it just one time loop or can we do a setting like, unlimited loop? like press to start repress to stop? Hello Barbros Gaming, I just got one of these Keyboards 03/11/2024 after watching a few reviews. I can't remember if it was this one or the other video you made on it, but you mentioned the pinging sound... Well mine has that echoing ping as well on a few keys and it's already driving me nuts day 01! Did you ever dampen it or did you just move on to a different Keyboard? Right now I am looking at my $16.99 Amazon Membrane keyboard that's sitting on my floor, and kind of missing it!?
Nice review!! But i have some questions if you can help me... I'm looking for a hot swappable keyboard, so that I can replace a broken switch with another (take one from the keypad for example). Is this keyboard the best choice? I don't care about wrist rest or media keys. Ok I like the volume wheel, but it's not a deal breaker if it doesn't have. Also, I don't want a tkl keyboard, I prefer blue switches and I like the rgb spec. I have found this keyboard at 60€. I want to spend around 40-70€ max! Oh, and I would like it to be watersplash-proof! So, is it the best choice for me, or is there something better or cheaper for what I ask? Thanks in advance! ^_^

Can you specifically select a colour for 1 key? For example, have rainbow coloured keys, but WASD are always white?
thanks so much or this video it helped me a lot because i couldn't get the lights on and my question is i have a problem with the letter f i have to use acci code to write because is not working and i have change the lights one and another but happens the same idk i i need to reset i so how? or what should i do
I got this keyboard. The macro creation is still confusing. I got the keyboard program from Redragon as well so I had a manual way of making macros. Only 2 key presses seem to work, and the G1-5 keys don't register for the program.

Thank you! I do not use one. I just have an oversized mousepad which does kind of act as a wrist rest.
Questions about the Vata:
1. Do the kickstands come with rubber feet like the Indrah K555?
2. Can you confirm if it has onboard memory to store macro recordings and backlighting presets? (Since there is mention of software in your description, I am assuming it doesn't.)
3. Is it possible to get solid white backlight on it?
4. Is the USB cable braided? The images on their website and on Amazon makes it difficult to tell, and your dark mousepad makes it equally so. However, since it appears to be reflective in your video, I am guessing that would be a 'no' as well.

1. Yes they do.
2. They keyboard does have onboard macro recording via the buttons at the top. As far as the lighting, it is through the software for custom lighting.
3.Yes there is solid white lighting.
4.The USB cable is not braided.
@@BarbrosGaming Thank you. I sincerely hope they don't switch out the multimedia keys with different function ones and remove the white backlight color to this model like they did to the K555, and not give their customer base a heads about about a major change!
Does the macro recording have a repeat/loop function?

I honestly have never heard of the K569 until now. That is a nice looking keyboard. Not sure to be honest. I think you are good going with either one.
No sound test? Is it true that those blue switches sound awful? :( I really like this keyboard, but can blue switches kinda be a deal breaker?

Can you apply the o rings? The switch doesnt seem to allow it.Since it is only blue switch i dont want to disturb others at nicht
On that particular switch I do not believe so. They do have others that are able to have o-rings on them.
Where can I buy red switches for the keyboard to be quieter? Mine is arriving tmrw but i feel like its going to be to loud
They are Otemu switches so I would think anywhere where you can purchase those. Here is a link to some reds on Amazon. Man...there's so much to like about this keyboard. I just bought one after watching your video. Hardware-wise, this keyboard is amazing. The only thing I don't like about the hardware are the stands on the back...there's no way to lock them into position. If I slide the keyboard away from me, they collapse. The only thing I wish they would have added would be a bank switch so that they could multiply the amount of macros available.
I think the biggest weakness of the keyboard is the software. I hope they spend some more time refining it. I had trouble figuring out how to customize the colors on my keys until I realized that instead of "custom" (which doesn't exist) on the lighting select you have to select "coastal". The biggest updates I would love to see is a better macro builder. I successfully recorded a macro, but I could just not figure out how to assign the macro to a key. The other big update would be one that would allow you to build profiles for games (ie, the game sees you are playing Fallout 4 and it switches to a Fallout 4 profile you've built).
how do you bind the macro to a key I still can figure it out?
@@spazmataz I'm assuming you've installed the Redragon software for your keyboard and created a macro already. Select the profile you want to add this to using the "Profile#" buttons on the left. Select the key you want to bind the macro to by clicking the key on the keyboard display in the Redragon software. A "Key setting" dialog box will pop up. Select "Macro setting" on the left. Make sure the macro you created is selected in the "Macro Name" box at the top and click "confirm". Click the "Apply" button on the main Redragon software (bottom right). Your macro should work.
Is there a software to customize the rgb lighting?
Yes there is. Check in the description of the video. It will take you right to it

How’s the noise of the keys? Wish they had a brown switch version of this keyboard.
They are blue switch so they are exceptionally louder than the other switch colors. But it also depends on the material of the base of the keyboard on how loud it is.
you can get most of there keyboards with a brown one, not sure about this one tho
there is actually no difference between this keyboard and the alfawise v2 right ?
They appear to be pretty identical to me. Now which one is the actual original... no idea lol.
Can I switch the outeumu switches for cherry's and I so where would be a good place other than amazon
I am not sure. I don’t see why you couldn’t. Besides Amazon I am not sure.
If you are still wondering you can put cherry switches in it. No soldering. You can find switches through many websites.
Any idea how bright is the RGB compare to k557?
I have never owned the K557 but I cant tell you that I own quite a few Redragon keyboards and the lighting always seems about the same brightness for all. In a good way.

Hi Barbros :)), which do you think is the best K550 RGB Yama Redragon or Redragon Vata K580 RGB Macro??
I have never used to K550. But just looking at them I would say the K550 seems to have a couple more advantages. It has USB pass through at the front of the keyboard and it appears to have more macro buttons. If you aren't worried about have the cool RGB strip down the side and have more room to fit a keyboard, I would say go for the K550.

Which keys aren't working? It's possible you got a faulty board. My very first keyboard I bought from them had a bad "S" key.

None of those I listed works :( and I can’t even take off the switch to fix anything in it
The switch on that keyboard is removable. try one of the extra switches it came with and see if that is the problem.
Barbros Gaming I got the same keyboard you have and Ik it came with extra switches lol. I just can’t remove them it’s really hard to do it idk why! Do you think you can make a video on how to easily remove the switches

That is one thing I really like about all of Redragon's products is that they are well made and feel sturdy.
