👊😄 *Why did the body builder buy expired protein powder?*
There was no other whey.
I've watched every Andy Galpin interview I could find for the last 6 months and this one, by far, is the greatest, most in depth one I have listened to. And I'm only half way through! Thank you Dr.Lyon!
The honesty in him is a blessing to experience.
Never heard anyone say they do things for vanity and be humble. Lol
That's legit.
The sauna protocol is a huge win!!! As a massage therapist working with peri/menopause untrained, low muscled, protein deficient women....this is where I have everyone start!! Hearing "lift heavy shit" doesn't help when it hurts to move...have nerve pain...chronic neck/back pain....the sauna protocols Andy outlined here could be life changing!!!
Really appreciate for the chance to hear Andy’s life stories!!!! Thank you so much!
Really nice when someone that works at a high level with elite athletes can simplify the message to benefit the rest of us. Thank you. A premium interview.
I am saving this podcast forever
Same!
Dr. Andy’s philasophies are next level……I've been following his teachings for years and appreciate both of you for sharing your knowledge.
I am addicted to Dr. Gabrielle Lyon’s podcasts and interviews!! Thank you!
Why doc! This interview!!! I thoight yours woth Huberman was THE one... I was wrong!! This is it! The first part! #loved! Getting the know a bit more of dr. Galpin is a true privilege, thank you for asking those questions Dr. Lyon, you guys are changing the narrative at sooo many levels. One of your best products 👏👏👏👏
Wow. You are literally the two people I would want to hear from about this topic. How perfect!
I've heard and learned from Andy lots of times. It was really nice to hear his (your) personal story. It reminds me so much of my own mom. She grew up on a farm in the Florida panhandle, the oldest of 12 kids. She went on to get her PhD in Physics and Astronomy, and started the first (maybe only titled as such) Women in Physics program at The University of Oklahoma.
As a fellow academic and full professor he says A LOT at the beginning that really resonates with me. Feeding one’s ego is a big part of it and so is autonomy and control over one’s career.
But what does that have to do w the title of this content?
@@hollyjoy3192Not sure but I don’t control the content. I’m just reacting to what he said. Are you criticizing me or the content?
He was such a blow hard at the beginning of the podcast. He came across as arrogant and narcissistic.
Joe Rogan's show is where I first saw Andy and what kept me listening was the way he spoke and explained things. It was that show when I learned about strength vs. hypertrophy and about going nowhere near failure BUT more frequently produced better strength results! I started doing 3 sets of 3 pull ups (I could do 8, clean), everyday and within a month I could do 12 clean! It blew my mind!
Nice interview and inspiring. Dr Andy Galpin is an incredible humble man and Dr Lyon is absolutely a blessing to the medical research community. Thank you🙏
Incredible interview! Andy is awesome 🙌🏼
Such a great discussion, thank you for this! Gotta agree with Andy that Monday is leg day 💯
I'm here after the Dr. Andrew Huberman podcast. I wanted to thank you personally for your dedication and all the things you do!
"Set standards, not goals"

Me too 👍🏻
Me, too!
Awesome podcast! Dr. Galpin is a genius!
Thank you, Dr. Lyon!
Gabrielle, you are awesome, love listening to you. And yes, Andy love hearing your story. My couple of hours at the gym are spent listening to podcasts like this, and trying to keep as fit as I can..
😊🙏🏋️♂️💪
I really appreciate the beginning and understanding who he is and where he comes from. I have the upmost respect for him, and I am only a few minutes into this interview and completely enthralled.
Totally agree!! Love to hear who is and I am so happy Dr. Lion interview. ❤
Thank you for this interview with Dr Galpin. What a great interview!!
aww man! Your story is inspiring. Thank you Dr. Andy ! :) You are a bad ass!
❤❤Andy Galpin💜💛💚💯
He has a new podcast, too! I think it just started this month. Awesome👌
I just began a walking challenge with a YT influencer.
I'm supposed to listen to their audio while I walk. But, its ALL health/fitness stuff I already know. So, I got very bord very fast with those audio's.
NOW... I'm listening to Andy's new podcast while I walk😃.
I've watched/listened to every Galpin interview I could get my hands on - including his entire colab series w/Huberman😊.
But! This new podcast of Andy's - definitely higher level! Learned so much new sh*t already, and I've only just begun👍😄
My HRV the past 2 nights has been 98 and 79. My average is 34! Resting heart rate has been around 48-50 and my average is 60 at night! Whoop recovery score the past two nights has been 98 and 96. 8 Sleep score 100 and 99 the past two nights. Very interesting data points!
Just listening to the sleep part now. It's true! I get about 20 minutes deep sleep a night, unless I'm sick or have drunk alcohol, then I get 1.5 hours of it. I obviously don't need it most nights because I rarely drink or am sick
Love you guys❤❤❤
This was one hell of an interview! Totally Top Shelf 👍
Awesome!
3 hours 😮
Another great video Ms. Product Pusher
What about the title , the muscle secrets are still secrets
Excellent podcast, but has very bad sound.
It’s not UC Fullerton. He works at California State University, Fullerton. The Cal State colleges are lower rate academically than the University of California (UC) institutions. CSUF is not equivalent to UCLA or any of the other UCs; far from it.
@jt8142
Ah! Yes...thanks for so carefully pointing that entire bit of absolute irrelevancy 😏
Why no timestamps
The first quarter is not useful but at least his story is interesting.
@@swinkeymo thx gud 2 no
You need to be patient. They're there now 🙂
Because "they" don't want you to know about timestamps
Them again

I don't know where my mind went just then! 2:00:23 and the add about what she drinks in the morning that's a little bit salty! 😅
Ohhhhhhhhh❤❤❤
I really enjoyed the way that Andy introduced him self and provided us with his mission statement. Amazing guy!
Did you call your kids little jerkys? 😆
No more Gary Brecka testing for me!
And hopefully make it affordable for the average person.
Same story different day.
This video was a waste of my time. The statements of the obvious regarding physical fitness were not enlightening.
I am 75 years old and have maintained 90% of my age-35 lean body mass without hormone replacement therapy.
You can see her softer here, almost in love. 1:48:38 😊
3hrs ... O_o
I thought the same thing but here goes nothing
Playback @ 2x normal speed, or skim through the transcript.
Healthy women ? It’s easy. Pop off to a few gyms and ask the women who show up :) I am one of them and we don’t just walk.
Girl finally figured it it’s best to cover up her tattoos.
Unnecessary comment man. Why even bother?
@Trumpet9406
Yah...you are right. Just their crap opinion, but of course the haters always have to get their digs in....
WHY? probably motivated by jealously.
I, for one, enjoy seeing
Dr. Lyons tatts😄
They are a fascinating work of art❤
@ShootersCoach
Jealous much?😅
@@barbarafairbanks4578me too love seeing her tatts😄 , fantastic work of art I agree. Also nothing wrong with showing them off either but down to personal preference in situations I don't disagree.
There is no such thing as public health only individual health.
Great comment!
I am over an hour in and am getting nothing out of it. 3 hours? You have got to be kidding.
