It's your greatest friend who tells you the hardest truth.
Love the resources on your show notes. Thanks a lot.
Glad you like them!
Mosiah 27:28-30 are my most favorite scriptures in Mosiah. I AM SNATCHED! God in His mercy has SNATCHED me! Alma the Younger's story is mine also and I am forever grateful to a Savior who saw fit to SNATCH me! I love the Book of Mosiah!
Excellent!
Great video and I agree with the other comment here. It does sound like our government.
Thanks Bryce and Mike!
I have never heard Mosiah taught this way. I love it so much. Thank you always for opening up the Book of Mormon to us increasingly.
Thanks for listening!
You guys are expanding my understanding of the Gospel. Thank You so much for sharing your knowledge and the way you explain the plain and precious things! You two rock!
Thanks!
Wow!!!This is fantastic!!! I've been around for a long time. Noak blindness is new to me but oh so true. thank you , thank you
Your seminary and institute students are so lucky to have you for a teacher. What amazing insights.
Thank you! 😃
I love all of your podcasts. They are so enlightening! Bryce, please consider letting Mike finish his sentences and share his thoughts without being cut off. You both have great wisdom to share! Thank you! ❤
My (Bryce’s) apologies. Certainly not intended. I truly believe what Mike has to say is brilliant and needs to be said. I hope you’ll all just consider it like Jacob‘s anxiety for the welfare of your souls.
AMEN, Thank You.
Thank you! @@talkingscripture
oh wow! minute 43. That's awesome
Thanks for making Talking Scripture part of your weekly study.
Very much enjoy your work. Can we get a correction on the location of the verse with reference to Moshia (sp?)? It cant be Deu. 22:27.
i think i understand i need to look in different version, please disregard
כִּי בַשָּׂדֶה מְצָאָהּ צָעֲקָה הנער הַמְאֹרָשָׂה וְאֵין מוֹשִׁיעַ לָהּ
Here is my (Mike’s) translation: “For in the field he found her, and when the betrothed young woman cried out, there was none to (Moshia = save) her.” The reference of Deut. 22.27 is correct. See the MT above.
Thanks much Mike, it took a bit to realize the word (as you even said in the podcast) wouldn't be found with a quick search in the KJB
This is a pretty cool thing to consider: Moshia is in the Hebrew Masoretic Text, but Joseph Smith at 23, did not know this language. And so "Moshia", the Hiphil Participle of yāšaʿ (יָשַׁע) "save" is happening in this text - the very text that demonstrates this manner of saving, as stated in the podcast. The word play is abundant in the Book of Mormon text.
Sounds like government. Only higher taxed.
