Can You Spot The Fake Solve?

- You're about to see three solves. Two of them are completely normal solves, but one of them is a fake solve that I did by making a prepared scramble. Can you figure out which solve is the fake one just by watching each solve? That's what we'll find out in this video.

It's obvioulsy 1. In my mind I see that it's like 'preloaded' in your mind and no rotations to look for something? The other 2 solutions you observe a lot more the cube.

I think its 1 because there are pretty long pauses (for speed cubing) and yet he still gets only 0.3 seconds slower than the fastest time of the three solves. That means he must have done the rest super quickly, like he knew what to do.
Ima guess one cuz I can't imagine someone being so bad with look ahead and this fast at the same time

Solve one. Was almost already set up for F2L in the beginning, and the pauses were there when the next step was clear.

I chose solve 2 because unlike the otehr 2 solves, it had no pauses which nade me think it had a pre planned f2l. Also the last layer recognition was insane.

It's number 3 since you did not stop during f2l, so you must have done the scramble before and memorised where all the colours/pieces were.

Solve 1 because the inspection looks heavily exaggerated whereas the other two are just a quick look at 2 faces and then the solve

After watching the solves in 0.25x (it’s not considered cheating so I played fair & square don’t call me a cheater), I thought that either 1 or 2 was fake but I was leaning more towards 1 so I chose 1. My confidence level was pretty low like 2/5. Glad I got it right :)

I guessed 1 from the start, and my reason was that the two pauses during F2L looked really weird and out of place, especially seeing the other two solves next to it.
I guessed solve 2 was fake, but my sister guessed solve 3 we’ll see who’s correct...

I remember watching this when it came out and getting it wrong (I avged like 13 at that time)
I just rewatched it, having forgotten the answer (I avg low 8 now) and it was so obvious to me that solve 1 was the fake one, due to the pauses
This confirms that it's easier to spot a fake solve when you're capable of getting that time yourself. I didn't have the lookahead to tell how suspicious those pauses are back then
3? That is a guess I could not spot the fake solve.

Well, I guessed right and for the first reason you gave - the pauses looked 'put on' to generate an impression of planning. I'm not a great cuber but am a reasonable poker player! Also, nice pants.

My reason for choosing solve 1:
You did not move solve 1 as much as the other solves
You should have a "You're lying to yourself!" in all of your videos.

i chose solve 1 bc you touched the cube after stopping the timer which is a +2 but you did not +2 to your solve time

My guess is the 3rd one. The X-cross seemed a lot more "lucky", whereas the one in the first solve looked like it took more moves to plan out.

the pauses in solve 1 in f2l made it look like you were pretending to analyze which i realized after i already guessed solve 2 cuz it was smooth

I choose 3 cuz the top layer was insanely strange
My bet is on the third solve because I think the F2L step is the most important to judge and in this solve the F2L are done without pauses.
It seems like he stops more to look on #1 and #3, so #2 is the fake.
I think it was Solve 2 as there were some lucky cases in it.

I think that its solve number 2. The LL recognition and stuff is too fast to be real IMO.
#1 Felt fake because, even though there were pauses, there seemed to be no vibrations; small shakes or anticipation to regrip before deciding what to do, like in the other two solves. Very subtle difference. That’s my vote.
He skipped an f2l pair in solve 2 and in solve 2 he made white cross when he usually does yellow cross

Solve 1 and 3 have a lot of 2 gen F2L Pairs, and skipping OLL is also to good to be true along with easy PLLS. I’d say it’s 1.

2, because on the others you took short pauses in the solve

He switched to many angels
He’d took his time
So in short his trying to fool us
But yet i know if a person is faking a default
It seemed like it was your old time record by casually looking at the sides
But the different angels was suspicious i mean you don’t need that match to change your angel
You only need to switch when your on the 2 sides or your checking but the tiny 2x2 on the bottom
Almost like you new what you did there and you easily fixed it like a fake solve
So ye solve 1 is my final answer

It is the first one because he had the white on the top. And the other two yellow on the top and you should always do yellow on the top while you are cubing.
