Thank you for the helpful video! I was replacing a glass door insert earlier today after it got shattered, and I appreciated being able to watch you do yours as a sort of practice run.
God be with you out there, everybody. ✝️ :)
Thank you. This was a very clear and helpful DIY tutorial.
Thanks. Always good to see someone else do it first.
You're welcome, thanks for watching and commenting.
Brother, Can you tell me where you purchased the replacement glass? Thanks so much!
I'm curious as to why the glass needs to be replaced? Ideally, I'm hoping to remove the grids on both sides of my glass door and replace with a single frame, as you've done. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing That's on my to do list.
Thanks for the video! I was hoping I could just remove the grill and leave the glass. My windows had a faux grill that just popped off.
Thanks for the great info. Where did you order the replacement glass insert?
Thanks for the video..wish I could find a store that carries these. Can't find it anywhere only the ones with the mini blinds.
Wow this is the exact door I have u mentioned you can buy just one door where can I get it mine is damaged
Good job, lmk when you're doing the garage door.
Thank you! I have been wanting to do the same thing and couldn’t find a source. Btw, the guy who keeps posting a source link, I don’t see French Door insets. I’d rather go to Lowe’s with my dimensions than order direct myself.
Thank you for sharing this, I was going to buy new French doors because mine has a grill and looking old also and I like the full glass. I never knew you could change those out...you saved me a lot of money.
Thanks for the comment Kimmie Lou, I loved the project and my parents are very happy with the result. Super easy!
BMac FPV, Do you know where you bought those insert? They are not easy to find.
@@brianm6060 Where did you BUY the insert....it's the only question that hasn't been answered, please help!
Thank you for this video. How long did it take for you to complete this project that you're demonstrating?
How could you take of the muntin and clean it up if you didn't want to replace the entire glass piece?
I had a halloween decoration fall of the plastic strip around the window of one of those doors. Do you know how to patch a whole in the plastic trim?
Can you tell us where you bought the replacement?
where did you get the replacement glass
Where do you buy these replacement doorlight replacement window inserts
This awesome! A answer to my problem. Where did you get the new glass from? We live in Houston and I don’t know where to find the glass to replace it.
Same! we live in Houston too, did you find a place?
@@kaytayyy23 Hi- like me, you may have to order a door insert kit from the manufacturer, Therma-tru in my case. Therma-tru's kit includes the glass and plastic grills, screws. Any lumber yard or maybe Lowes or HD can probably order it for you.
Fyi - this place has them peasedoors.com/collections/rims/products/full-lite-24-x-66-frame-kit
Great video!! Where did you find the replacement?
We will never know....
@@ProfessionalDad never,,, ever... dang!!!

Where you buy the glass and frame at.

Where did you buy the replacement?
Where did u buy the insert from please please please please’
Pease Door sells online - just frame or frame and glass
Please show me were I can get a new door for $300 I will gladly pay
Lowes has pine doors for interior use that are 285 per door
Where did you purchase it.
I wish you would show how to remove the plastic grid .
Remove screws and pry up gently with paint scraper
@Richard Crim you probably can take a razor knife and gently poke the tip in and pry it out. Be careful though and wear eye protection, the tip could break and send metal flying.
Where did you find the replacement insert? What was the manufacture's name?
My question as well. IDK why he did not post the name or link in his description for our own DIY project.
Is it possible to do this with the door in place?
I dont see why not.
@@brianm6060 thanks going to do this tomorrow
I found the door glass inserts at diydoorstore.com the first one arrived with the molding damaged so they re sent another at no charge. Shipping takes 3 days.
Did it actually need a new glass ? Or can I just replace the grid with a new one without all the little frames?
It didn't need glass but at the time it was cheap enough to buy new glass. The frame could be replaced by itself but you would need to find one and make sure it fits the old glass
I think it's called a 15 lite frame. But that refers to the individual squares. Ypu can star there and look for just a frame but I dunno
What was the replacement glass called?
It's called a glass insert.
Where to you get replacements. I can't find them anywhere.
Pease doors.They are tops !
Some good info but I almost got nauseas trying to watch this.
where did you buy your replacement frame? Are there other vendors?
I got mine at a local hardware store called battlefield building supply. You can order from there it was like 115 or so, they ship I believe.
Its in Calhoun GA
Where can I buy the Replacement glass piece?
Wow the grills are $485 now.
Link says 459$ not 100$
white enamel paint wouldn't have cleaned it up?
It had pieces broken off on the inside.
Link for 15 Lite Door Insert: amzn.to/2HqE0yd
Why wouldn't you have just used the same glass and just bought a frame instead?
Couldn't find just a frame, I looked far and wide :/ and it was only 100 bucks for the entire thing.
Yeah, that's where the screw job comes in. Nobody makes a replacement frame piece without the glass. You can by wood trim that has the appropriate sized cut and make your own if you have a miter saw and a little know how.
Save the old glass! Weedeaters can be hard on them...dont ask me why I know :) @@brianm6060
@@jbratt lol that's the reason I'm here
I'm a door/door glass retailer. You can purchase just the frames. www.ODL.com

Good thing you can ff or 1.5 speed if you like. Moron
@@brianm6060 it's a great thing but it doesn't change a tedious intro. Mommy criticize you too much growing up?
I'm now your 3rd subscriber. Nice cat videos. Let me know when you make anything of purpose.
@@brianm6060 Time for a party. Look, tutorials should get to the point, quickly, yours meandered too much at first but we got some value. Btw, the cat 🐈 vids are awesome.
