- This tutorial shows you how to make a working elevator In Minecraft 1.16. With the tricks in this tutorial it should be easy to build this elevator in survival minecraft. :)
If you are building a huge base in Minecraft, like MumboJumbo or Iskall85 on the Hermitcraft Minecraft Server. This elevator is a cool thing to add to your base and a Minecraft Trick you should know. :)

Worked like a charm , thank you ❤. For those who are still stuck, you guys need to remove the blocks which are placed next to slime blocks. The space in sides of the slime blocks needs to be empty.

Observers do NOT register noteblocks as a block update in bedrock 1.19, so this elevator will not work

yes even in Minecraft 1.12.2 java so i ended up using sticky piston (with a block to trigger the observer ) not much change to structual part in fact easier kinda ,

@KFC Lion Bedrock is not trash, it worked for me. I'm not saying this to defend myself because I use bedrock, I even play Java. It works and if it doesn't for you than work on your redstone skills

@@richardallen4883 It isn't fake I did it and it worked. I had to do it for a science project but if I was just playing I wouldn't waste 35 minutes I would of just used scaffolding.
@@richardallen4883 if you about the bridge its not fake you should be 7blocks at last part and not 8.
I like scaffolding, simple and fast.
If you add a redstone ladder to activate BOTH note blocks when either button is pressed, then when you press either the top or bottom button it will go the direction you want it to. For example, if you are at the bottom, and the elevator is at the top, it will come down. If you are at the top and the elevator is also at the top, it will bring both you and the elevator to the bottom.

I don’t understand why but whenever I build it right before it gets to the top it just stops. There’s nothing keeping it from moving I’ve broken the entire floor around it to see it that was the issue and I’ve tried not making it go as far but it just doesn’t work

Hey guys! I see some of you are struggling with this elevator. If you are in bedrock, note blocks cannot be observed using observers so you could use a dropper facing the observer. Remember not to put an item in it though. Hope this was helpful. 😀

@@parandamanraman957 I’m not sure. I think the problem is that redstone in bedrock is different for example redstone under a dispenser lit up by a power source won’t work in bedrock. Maybe you should move one of the dust one block higher. Sorry if this is unclear cuz it’s hard writing what I’m thinking in text.
So switch out the note block for droppers facing the observer if ur on bedrock?
You could add observers so when the machine gets to a certain height the doors will open

When I built this elevator in the Pera Palace I'm building, it worked but it went absolutely crazy. When I pressed the button, sometimes it went two block up or down, then came straight back, sometimes it did actually manage to get all the way across but with blocks flying everywhere and leaving a few behind, and sometimes it managed to get half way and decided to go backwards. And sometimes it just stops halfway. Idon't know what happened but it looks like a death trap for anyone who rides it. Maybe it's because I'm playing pocket edition?

IMPORTANT: If you play BEDROCK you need to exchange the Noteblocks with Trapdoors. Otherwise the Elevator won't work.
It is important, that the Slime Blocks are ONLY connected to the placed blocks of the elevator! I dug out the whole back- and side walls left/right and behind the elevator so the Slime Blocks do not touch any other blocks going up/down. If you don't do that your elevator won't work or get stuck. Make sure to place the observers in the right directions. If you do everything right this design should work in Minecraft 1.16. :)
