It ok man, you can just test these, get some friends onto a multiplayer world, then use it! Just go on servers, get to be friends with someone that you’re having fun playing with in a server, add them, they accept it, then you have a friend!

Remember to place the floor on top of the observer! Otherwise, the pistons won't work properly.
Can you help me? On the stairs my double sticky piston won’t work. I activate it the first time and it works perfectly fine, but then I try to retract it and the top sticky piston won’t stay stuck to the bottom one so it doesn’t pull back down. I looked it up but I can’t find anything, and you seem to know what your doing.

For some reason, I did every thing right (at least I think) and the second stair that goes higher than the first isn’t going all the way up when I switch the lever, then I check and the sticky piston under that stair is floating.
Any ideas/reasons on how to fix or as to why? 1:16

3: It doesn’t work on bedrock edition
Turbo Mincraft on here has a Bedrock 1.19 compatible build that works for a hidden stairway door like this and BB's cauldron trick w/interior switch works on it if you reroute the Redstone a little. Great inspiration always BB
The stairs aren’t working for me but I’m also using bedrock and one tip you can exchange the cauldron for a lectern u just have to place a book on the lectern to set the redstone off.

You can remove the cauldron when going far. When back, place the cauldron in the same place then add the water.

Pro tip: On the stairs use the cauldron as a "dog water bowl" to avoid suspicion of a random cauldron.
Or just put a lantern on top of it and say it’s a well

The stairs one doesn’t work in the new update for some reason. I’ve tried so many other secret doors and the same problem occurs. I guess the old vids just doesn’t work no more
Unless you're on a different version. Redstone world differently in bedrock because of the way they perform ticks I think.
Figured out how to get the double sticky pistons to push the stair up into the right spot (must power the top piston directly as well) but still cannot figure out how to get it to bring the stair all the way down. Anyone find a solution to this?

I’m mixing this video with the zombie apocalypse one and I’ve done a fallout bunker and the cauldron is the “amour cleaner” coz u need to get rid of the radiation on ur armour after leaving the bunker also make sure to place the blocks that cover the reds tone first before testing the contraption otherwise it will not work
In short: place a block on top of the top observer

Most likely what it is is just the way minecraft works. The texture is dependent on the direction you are building in. So the observer should still work as normal, howver it will just look a little different. Hopefully this is what you meant

Could you do that food farm collector with an observer that automatically opens the gates when the carrots grow?
Theoretically.... But the observer would detect each stage of growth and trigger before they are full grown. You could rig the observer to a redstone counter that opens the gate after the number of growth stages your crops go through (plus one more for when you plant the crops). I've seen it done for an amethyst farm, but I forget who did it and how.
Even if this does work, crops grow at random so they won't all be done at the same time as the one you're measuring.
TLDR: It would be more trouble than it's worth. You have to be there to replant anyway, so you might as well use the lever.

In bedrock, i figured a way to get the stairs up but not down. Just make a redstone connecting to the redstone in the corner by the observer, sticky pistone and a redstone block. when you pull the lever, it will activate the piston that doesn't go high enough. still working on how to make it go down
