Chum Salmon are one of the last salmon to enter our Pacific Northwest rivers. While they may not be the tastiest salmon they are aggressive and powerful fighters. I prefer targeting these fish in freshwater with bobber and jig and to practice catch and release.

I think bucks with lighter colored belly are just fine to eat. A dry brine definitely helps texture. Great video, love the underwater footage!
Yeah, nothing wrong with a chum that's still bright. No worse than a pink in quality.
