Chum, also known as "Dog" Salmon, are considered to be the strongest, most powerful fish of the Salmon Species! In this episode, we show how to target these toothy critters with bait and lures from the bank and boat! To make things a bit more interesting...the day this show was filmed, we had a massive Fall Storm move in with dumping rain and wind gusts over 50mph!

Pink and Purple jigs and prawn wrapped qwicks, it’s a recipe for sore arms. Chum eggs are money steelhead bait too. Where harvest is allowed of course.

2 techniques hands down are best for chums. First: 1/4 oz purple marabou jig tipped with a small chunk of raw prawn fished under a float. Second: K-14 sized Banana plugs with a sardine wrap... flatlined. If neither of those techniques are working... it's time to go home.
