Solo Winter Truck Camping / Dutch Oven Campfire Pizza | Engwe EP-2 Pro Review

- Welcome to this week's video. I'm at the Savanna State Park in Aitkin County Minnesota. I came out here to test my new E-Bike the Engwe. It's an awesome little electric bike that took me all over the park. I will leave links below if you are interested in the Engwe. They are going to be running a Valintine day special now until February 17th, 2023.
The park was super quiet. I was the only one use the camping facilities. There was a person renting a cabin in the park, but I only saw their vehicle once. I went on a late-night walk through the woods. I was on a Cross Country Ski trail, so it was fairly easy walking. I didn't hear any noises in the woods, the cold crisp evening air was keeping most animals looking for shelter.
I made pizza in the Dutch Oven over the campfire, it was a big failure. The crust was no good, thankfully I was able to salvage the toppings.
Thankfully we haven't had any big snowstorms or blizzards to contend with, but our temperatures have been freezing cold. Hopefully spring arrives soon so I don't have to spend so much money heating the truck camper every weekend. Thanks for watching and I'll see you next week.

Thanks For Another Great Video
Thank you so much Josh! That is super very cool. I really appreciate you supporting the channel!
Thanks for another good video Kenny! It's a shame about your pizza, at least the toppings were good for you. Back when my boys were Scouts we used a Dutch oven a lot. Really had some good meals from one...a few flops also. A few when we pulled the top off of it and it was a "WTH" moment. We either got a good meal or a good laugh. The foil packet meals were another standby for us.
It's just something special about taking walks in the snow covered woods at night, especially if there wasn't any wind with a full moon to illuminate the way.
The new bike looks awesome. I can see the 4" tires being perfect for some of the terrain you go on.
Thanks again for a good video and bringing us along. Still waiting to see Bigfoot👣.....maybe next week!🤣
Thanks Richard!
Big foot might have been watching you lol thanks for the video
Good stuff as usual. Before you put in the pizza crust, make sure you heat up your dutch oven with the coals on top. Also, nestle it in the coals instead of on the grill grate. Last but just as important, use parchment/baking paper to line the oven. Make sure you use enough so you can grab the pie out of the oven with it. I know this from a lot of trial and error!
I can't believe I didn't think of heating the Dutch oven first. I watch pizza's go into the wood fire oven at the pizza place in town.....that oven is HOT! You gave me some great tips!! Hopefully next time it comes out better.
Another great video Kenny! Nice bike as well. 🚴♂️
Thanks Lois!
Bike looks great!
Thanks, I was impressed with how well the 4" tires do on the ice compared to my 3" Ebike tires.
Kenny, you make these weekends fly by! There's nowhere else that I'd rather be, it's an absolute honor and pleasure to watch your videos of you camping on your weekends. You have so much fun fishing, biking, walking, making supper and sitting around the campfire that it automatically puts a smile on my face, and I think that is just so AWESOME of you! 🌲🔥🚙 🐟🚴
Take care,
Your friend,

I myself love reviews,. . and im glad your being viewed by companies to test their products,
Thanks. I'm glad to here you enjoy the reviews!
🎉Kenny Awesome 🎉 video I love going along with you on your truck camping enjoy the entire video as always 🎉
Thanks Tim I appreciate that!
Another great video as always. :)
Thanks!
Enjoyed the journey again, Kenny
We liked your pizza recipe!
Mushrooms, onions, spinach is my favorite!
Dang it. U got me. I'm a subscriber now. Peace my fellow journeyman
Awesome, Thanks!
Enjoyed this week's video. I'm glad to companies are starting to reach out to you. Hopefully this allows you to do more camping videos since now you're starting to get some support. Have a great week. Thanks for sharing. And glad you are doing and feeling better
Thanks!
Betting it had something to do with chicken 🐔
Another great video Kenny. I can’t wait for the next one. 👍✌️
Thanks
Excellent video. Beautiful country. I love the new bike. I can see why people like to go camping.
The winter landscape is super quiet and peaceful. The snow adds a layer of insulation to everything, the wildlife isn't moving as much because of the cold, and light reflects off the snow likes crystals hanging from tree branches. It sounds magical but I'm getting fed up with the cold....looking forward to fall again. Those 2 weeks are my favorite time of year.
Nice Job! Thank You!
Thanks
Another great video. I am hoping to get an ebike soon. I am disable so this will make it easier for me to see things where I camp.
I really like how much more ground I can cover in the ebike.
I'm in the same boat, it'll definitely make life and exploring much easier. I'm waiting for summer to start looking. But that one looks like a good one for sure.
Here is a link for some unbiased info. It compares the Engwe Vs Lectric Vs Rad. These are the big names in sub 1500 dollar ebikes. I have the Rad Mini and now the Engwe. This shows some great spec comparisons.
bikexchange.com/lectric-xp-vs-radmini-vs-engwe/
Enjoyed the episode Kenny....
Love my ebike it's foldable 750W 48v 13ah. I ride it everywhere and as much as possible.
Looks like fun! Keep posting! this channel will really pop soon!
Thanks Garrett I appreciate the support!
I wish we had snow fall like that over here in the rainy uk...absolutely love watching these video's, you make me hungry everytime you cook -up...all the best.
Another day we'll spent. Thanks Kenny. New bike is cool. Did I see u get it out of the truck folded up.
Yes, that bike folds in half. Makes fitting it in the back seat super easy.
Nice E bike, that’s a really good price for what you get. Most are 500+ more for similar specs. I’m holding off on accepting e bikes until spring, but glad you were able to pull off a video with it lol. I’m to worried about hitting some ice 😅
Thanks Matt. I'm ready for the ice to be done with as well.
@@KennyOfAllTrades we’ll have to hit some trails on our e bike this summer. I have a new electric scooter that goes 45mph I need to use in a video lol
Another awesome video! I love watching your winter adventures.
Thanks John
Beautiful, it reminds me of algonquin park
You make camping look fun Kenny. Lance camper.
Thanks. I find peace in nature, and being alone in the woods helps recharge my mental batteries. I'm glad to hear that it shows in the videos.
I have done what you did, always put it up on a raised cookie cooling/roasting tray, in the pot.
I didn't realize how much moisture was in the cheese and vegetables. The toppings were still really good though. Next time im gonna have to lift it up.
The GoPro light looked great, until it didn’t. You’ll soon get that sorted out though. Bummer on the soggy bottom pizza! (Sounds like a bluegrass song.) 15°, wow the banana crop is saved! That’s a very cool e-bike and tempting. I’m old and e-trikes are probably a better choice for my wobbly old self. Thanks, Kenny.
Aww to bad on the pizza. That looked amazing
Too bad the pizza failed but that parchment paper tip sounds like the way to do it. Aldi sometimes has parchment paper. Anyways, impressed by your biking and controlling the drone. When I winter bike I keep both hands on on the bars. 😀😀
That was a challenge. I also was only wearing one glove so my finger could work the touch screen.....lol....it was cold on the hands. The bike got up to 25 mph and it was about 15 degrees. My fingers weren't happy with me.
Savannah Portage is a great place to camp. Another great video! We use parchment cut to fit the bottom of the Dutch oven and large enough to go up to the lid. It makes getting the pizza out of it much easier. Preheating the Dutch oven works well too. We don't pre-cook the dough, just lower the assembled pizza in the oven with the parchment and avoid too much sauce. Breakfast pizza is awesome. Sausage gravy and scrambled eggs on the pizza.
Great advice!
You drove right by where I will be going in two weeks!
Sweet! I live real close by. If you see me out and about make sure you wave or say hi!
@@KennyOfAllTrades Ill message you if thats ok to do.
Absolutely. You can reach me at kennyofalltradeschannel@gmail.com
Beautiful area - I'll have to put Minnesota on my list of places to visit. Thanks for another great video.
It's beautiful up here. Thanks for watching!
That's a good looking bike. Sounds like it can do it all.👍🤔🍕
We will see in 6 months how it's holding up. I'll definitely keep you guys informed.
Awesome video, I liked the way you cooked the pizza
Thanks Jeff, I appreciate the comment!
Again nice video I never thought of making a pizza in a Dutch oven though I would eat the crust lol thanks for sharing, I still think your crazy for camping in the snow that's to cold for me
Thanks Kevin I appreciate you watching. Hopefully we will get out of this cold weather in about 3 months. I'm over the cold weather camping. I'm looking forward to spring......but not all the mud....getting stuck last spring wasn't fun.
The older I get, the further south I want to move my prosthetic leg and arm doesn't do well in the cold causes me pain
That dosent sound good. Do you watch Larry's channel? He does truck camper videos in Arizona. We talk often. His channel name is Work Less Enjoy Life More. He posted an awesome video last night.
czcams.com/video/S3J0zS_agkY/video.html
I really enjoy his videos. I think his channel is worth subscribing too. If you like his video make sure to tell him you like mine more! Lol
The light on the camera was a good add. Love the content. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!
Great video, glad you had some sunshine to enjoy the bike. I have to admit that you are tougher than me though. With those Temps I would have just fired up the inside heat and stayed indoors.
Get one of those wire cooling racks you use for bread and cut to shape of the dutch oven but about an inch oversize, then bend the ends around to make the feet. Perfect to cook pizza on and heats it up nicely all around.
Excellent tip! Thanks
Another awesome winter camp video. We're going to Jay Cooke in our 14ft cargo trailer this weekend to camp and snowshoe. I also see you got plenty of unsolicited advice on your dutch oven pizza. Well let me give you a little more 😁. I've done a lot of creative cooking in my D/O. Put the pizza on the lid of the oven and use the bottom as a top. That way you don't have to lift it out. Also, camp maid makes an awesome dutch oven cooking set for things just like that. Welding gloves are a great addition too for handling the hot cast iron. But as others have said, pre-heat. And perhaps cook the dough as I said on the lid for a while and and flip it then add toppings. Keep experimenting and keep the awesome Minnesota videos coming.
Thanks! I really appreciate the advice. I went to Jay Cooke last winter for a video. It was absolutely beautiful!
That was some some work out 💪🏿 at beginning clearing the snow path. I am sure you have more contents to come and also also when you get to travel out of Minnesota for more adventures when you have time.
I'm looking forward to the day when I get get a little more traveling in. Thanks Tobi!
Another great video Kenny. Sometimes I miss that area. Get the dutch oven piping hot with coals on top and bottom, and drop the pizza in there with parchment paper long enough to use as a handle. Cover and pizza will cook in about 2 minutes with great crust.
Great tip! I'll try that next time. I started with a cold Dutch oven. It makes sense to get it hot like a pizza oven
Exactly correct
Perfect video. Keeping it real, good and bad. A shame about the pizza but i know your going to figure it out. We want to add E-bikes onto the back of the van this year. Thanks for sharing your review. Take care, keep them coming!
Thanks!
I love Minnesota! ❤ Hello from southern Alberta. We also winter camp in a 4-season truck camper! Naan or pita bread work for pizza crusts, too.👍🇨🇦😎❄🔥
I'll try those for crusts. Great idea
Always learn something new on your channel.
Now I know how NOT to make a Dutch oven pizza.
Great video as always. 👍👍
Lol Thanks for watching
Just found your channel and it was enjoyable. You all have a rougher winter as in Ohio so I hoped you have a winter to enjoy to the fullest. Since I'm new could you recommend one of you videos that show the most helpful and insightful for you viewers. Jim from Cincinnati
Thanks for watching James. That's a great question I have a ton of videos showing my truck camper adventures and upgrades along the way. I'll suggest two videos.
This one shows some of my winter camping upgrades. It's from last winter but still good.
czcams.com/video/35WJi_PAops/video.html
The next one is a video of camper upgrades It's an older one as well. But still good. czcams.com/video/VgiuUQ22Njw/video.html
I record my videos only on Saturdays and Sundays. I still work a regular Monday through Friday job but I spend every spare minute trying to make this channel work. I appreciate you checking it out!
Loved the video Kenny!! Diggin those blue lights above the stove too. What's a ski trial? Not many of those trails here in AZ I guess? Why would a person not want to walk in it?
The people on cross country skis get a little bent out of shaped when you trample through their trails. The snows deep and you can fall through the groomed trail causing ruts. The tire tracks from the groomer are packed down and hold my weight. better.
Thanks again Kenny! Not sure if you’ve mentioned wether or not you like those new steps 😊. Beautiful campsite and I’m going to check out the e-bike right now!
Bary....I LOVE THEM STEPS! lol
.50 minutes in, truth. Agreed.
I'll be looking forward to another review on the bike when you get a few miles on it. I'm looking to buy this spring so get to riding.
I'm gonna leave the bike in the truck and use it as my primary bike for now. I'll definitely keep you informed. I did some research before agreeing to do the video. I was looking at the Lectric for some time now. I'm happy with the Rad Power Bike. The difference between those bikes is about 700 bucks. Then I researched the Engwe. Here is a great unbiased article. It helped make the decision to except the bike and do a video. bikexchange.com/lectric-xp-vs-radmini-vs-engwe/
@@KennyOfAllTrades I've also been looking at the electric 3.0. Time to research some more. Thanks for the article.
I'm always learning from your videos. A simple thing like how to wrap firewood to keep it clean and organized, as well as tips and extras for my Arctic Fox. I've now got a dutch oven in my amazon cart! You need affiliate links. Cheers.
Thanks!
Can’t wait to get our camper out love the videos !
Thanks
Just found your channel a month ago, really enjoying it!
Thank you! That makes me happy to hear. I appreciate you checking out the videos.
I’m hoping u/we glimpse a Bigfoot in those great northern forests!!! Hey any vids with northern lights? Would love to see that!!! Thanks!
We haven't done any camping in the snow. Tennessee didn't get much snow, and when it does, I wouldn't trust the campervan to make it. Lol Maybe some driveway camping would be fun in our next snow 😀 We love some pizza over the campfire in our cast iron. The hobo pie pizzas are our favorite. That is a great idea to lift the crust from the bottom of the pan/pot just a bit. Beautiful drone footage. I am working on trying for my 107 license before too long. The drone footage just adds a deeper element to videos. Great E-Bike. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks. I'm looking forward to spring. I'm about over the cold weather!
As always, you knocked that video out of the park. Love that cooking on a fire, just get that oven hot before adding in the pizza, by dropping it all at once in the pot, after crisping up the crust, put it on a plate first and add toppings, then after the pot is hot again lift the lid and drop it in and cover for a few minutes. Done 👍
I should have done a little research before attempting that pizza. You are right, it makes sense to heat up the Dutch oven. Pizza ovens are HOT! I started with a cold oven and that was a fail.
@@KennyOfAllTrades it's all a learning process in cooking Brother. I had 23 years every third day and 12 guinea pigs at the station to test my culinary skills, some good and some not so good. Trust me, they weren't shy about criticism. Lol
I wonder what that looks like in the spring time or summer time with that lake there. We enjoy a good camp fire in the winter and hot chocolate and graham crackers. We experienced the freezing temperatures here in New England. Mt. Washington summit temps and wind chill temperatures were broken. Minus 47degrees F and -109 degrees wind chill. We took the snow coach ride to the tree line a week and a half ago and stepped out in 71 mph winds. Extreme weather can always be found on top of Mt. Washington.
High elevation weather sounds crazy! We see cold temps but never with that kind of wind. That's just insane! I'm sure the lake is beautiful during the summer. Thanks for watching!
Glad to have discover your channel a few weeks ago. It looks so peaceful and the choice of the music you use is pretty good.
Thanks. I'm a laid back and chill kind of person and i try to match the music to my mood at the time. I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment.
Kenny, there's a lot of water in spinach. I bet that's what's produced the water and made your crust soggy. If you try again, try it without the spinach. Oh, and use minimal sauce. It really doesn't take much at all. Better luck next try!
Thanks for the information. I bet you're into something with the spinach.
Tip for pizza: Lay the slices of cheese on a paper towel or clean dish towel. S
queeze the excess whey out before you put it on the pizza. You'll get only a small amount on the bottom and likely it will cook away and the bottom will be crisp.
Great tip
Minnesota is so beautiful. I interviewed with the BCA back in 1997, hoping to move to the St. Paul area. Well, God had different plans for me! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
Nobody camps at Savannah in the winter. My favorite summer park and it was amazing in the winter.
I had two videos there last winter. It was empty both times. They plow out 4 sites plus the cabin. It's a great winter spot.
@@KennyOfAllTrades Definitely!
Next time bake your crust, take it out and assemble the pizza upside down. You'll have to flip the dutch oven to get it out, but your crust wont be soggy. You can also do an upside down pizza in a skillet.
Very interesting, I'll give that a try.
Have you ever considered going to the truck camper adventure rally in Quartzite? I know you are not a crowd type of guy but it seems many people with similar interests make an exception to that motto. It would be a great way for you to collab with some big channels. You already make great content and could exponentially increase your base. Kind of like how MAV did at his start. Just a thought for next year and a good excuse to get out of the cold for a while.
That would be really cool! Even though I'm not a big people person I think it would be awesome to talk with and get ideas from other people living the Truck Camper life. I think you are right, it could help the channel grow.
Unfortunately, Quartzite feels like a world away. I'm not sure I could swing that much time off work either. I work Monday through Friday and record on Saturday and Sunday.
I had BIG DREAMS the channel would take off and I could work a part time job....but its just a dream. Hopefully one day I'll have more time to dedicate to CZcams.
I've got so much to learn about filming and editing that i dont think of myself as a CZcamsr. I'm more of a hermit with a camera in the middle of the woods. Lol
@KennyOfAllTrades I'm an expert CZcams watcher lol. My 2 cents is that you've already crafted your content well and enough to move away from a standard M-F. Check your channel stats and "projections" on social blade. Looking forward to your next week's video. Risk comes reward as they say.
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I'm my own worst critic and constantly doubt the quality of my videos...but I think that's what keeps me pushing forward and trying to learn more. One day I'll take the plung at work. For now I still have my daughters at home and I'm a single parent so I can't be too risky. I'm humbled to hear you speak highly of the channel. Thst means A LOT to me.
I just looked at Social Blade, that's pretty cool! It says my twelve month projection is 50k subscribers and 5.5 million views....can you imagine! I can't! It's taken me 20 months to get 600k views. But that would be awesome! Thanks for telling me about that site. It pretty cool.
@KennyOfAllTrades I think for your channel it's very realistic. Maybe not for many other channels though. Awesome that you are a family man and your daughters are lucky. Your the first video I've seen of the Hull Rust mine. I used to play there as a little kid. Instead of full time RV Living, having a home base to come back to is the ticket to good balance (in my humble opinion). I know many dream of full time rving, but I see most go back to having a home base and have both. See you on next week's episode.
I really admire your tolerance of winter temps. I’m from Florida and can’t even imagine the 20’s being good for anything outdoors. I had the same pizza problem when I made one in a sticks and bricks oven. Mushrooms put out a lot of moisture when cooking, and containing the steam will also make for a soggy crust. Always enjoy your videos. Keep on camping and cooking! 😊
I never thought about the water content in the mushrooms.
@@KennyOfAllTrades When I make spinach or mushrooms for my pizza or just about anything I will sauté the mushrooms and spinach to cook out the water before I add them. Also I'll put parmesan chees over the spinach and mushrooms to soak up some of the leftover moisture. Fresh mozzarella has a ton of water as well but you're right it's AWESOME.
I never even thought about all the moisture in the vegetables. That's a good point.
IKR….anything below 50* is cold can’t imagine 20*
Thanks for sharing.
Once again, another excellent video sir! Loved seeing the paid promotion at the beginning, awesome that companies are reaching out to you and your channel. Btw - sweet new hog ya got there, oh wait, that’s Mandi’s now isn’t it?!
Bummer the pizza didn’t turn out as planned; ya win some, ya lose some I guess
Anyways, is it next Tuesday yet?
As always, stay safe out there…..
Thanks Mike
Yes it’s my bike!!! 😊
Thanks for the effort you put into these things. I have the same bike. I got a deal where they threw in a 2nd battery. I swapped out the seat for one that accomodates my large ass muscles and enjoy it very much. Can't beleive you think 75lbs is light though.
For an ebike it's not bad. My Rad Mini is heavier. I guess it's all about perspective. One day 75 pounds will feel much heavier then it does today.
@@KennyOfAllTrades Kenny I had the rad mini too, it was 65lbs. I don’t know how this new bike is lighter?
I have the Rad Mini 4 and the Engwe feels lighter but that's because it is smaller and easier to handle. The weight of the bike with the battery is 66 pounds.
I just realized the Engwe probably feels lighter because I have a lot of added accessories on the Rad. Front and rear racks, front basket, 58 volt 16 amp hour battery, rear bag, upgraded motor......thats why my Rad feels so much heavier.
@@SpykersB The way he pulled that thing out of the truck with no effort I had to check to make sure it was the same as mine. :)
Man this is an awesome trip. Thanks for sharing
Thanks
You always manage to find some great places and this one was no exception. Keep playing with the pizza, you'll get it down pat soon enough. New bike looks cool, if it can handle that cold weather, it'll do great in warmer weather, too. Have a great week, see ya next week!
Awesome park, camping by the lake too. I'm digging the new E Bike as well! Thanks for another great video Kenny.
Thanks!
Great video as usual. Thank you!
Awesome video! So excited to try out the new bike.. You made me laugh couple times. Keep up the hard work!
Thanks babe.
I appreciate the updates on your weather/temps as arrived and during....many channels skip it or just don't think of it.
Thanks again from Rochester NY
Awesome video Kenny! Was nice to mentally relax for 19min 👍👌 how’s the plow truck?
Would u believe i got 2 flats plowing this winter. Thankfully the shop had some used 235/85/16 on hand for 20 bucks a piece. Awesome 👌
Hi Kenny, Fred and I both started laughing out loud when you said that it was not going to be too cold, it was only going down to 0. We are in the Everglades in FL and were sitting outside last night and went inside because we were getting chilled at 70 degrees. We need to leave FL soon as we are becoming acclimated to the weather. The Pizza looked yummy, 🤣 perhaps nature was telling you it was a low carb kind of night. 😉We enjoyed the night walk. Really cool new bike, Kenny, you are a show off, spinning out like that. So, how do you like the bike, Mandi? We were late for the party this week but it was another great video and we always love spending the weekend with you. Mary 💕 Fred
Mandi won't let me forget that bike is hers! I told her I was gonna keep it in the truck through the spring so I could get a few test miles on it...she just scowled at me.
Saturday the temptures here will be close to 30 but I'm taking a Drone flight class at the airport. That will cut into my recording time. I'm hoping Sunday to do a maintenance video on the camper. I haven't inspected the roof this winter. I'm not sure if a truck camper inspection video would work or not. I'll see how recording goes. Thanks for following along last weekend!
@@KennyOfAllTrades I would be like Mandi if Fred did that to me. 🤣 We Hope that you had a good class today, love your drone shots. People seem to like truck camper maintenance. It is in our human nature to worry about these things but there is no doubt you will have another great video and we will be there to watch it.
Should have thrown it in the frying pan....but I'm all about the toppings anyway!! 👍🏻🤗 So, this park is up near Emily, MN!! 😊 I did some off-grid tent camping in that area one summer. Heard some weird sounds at night that I have never heard before.
I was looking online and saw numerous Bigfoot repots near Remer. I've had wierd stuff happen in my videos....rocks thrown at me, crazy low Bassey whooping sounds...but never any visuals.
@@KennyOfAllTrades I did NOT hardly sleep the 4 nights we were there because of the sounds. Beautiful scenery, though. When I told the people I was with what I heard, they decided we would camp at the Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds next time. Lol.
Yes there is sasquatchs , just look for there structures and you'll find them , I would love to do that one day looking for there structures, if you watch colorado Bigfoot he will show you huge structures.....❤❤❤
I'm not sure if you ever saw my Bigfoot video. I stayed in an area with multiple reported sighting. It's known as the Minnesota Bigfoot capital. I will give you the link for that video.
czcams.com/video/0cDYZavBPNM/video.htmlsi=jp4W_PeDiSFx7wSN
@KennyOfAllTrades I don't think I watched it but going to now thank you..
As always, another great video. Did I see your wall clock thermometer read 94 deg inside while you were editing?
Lol..yes the coffee pot was on right below the thermometer. It was properly 65 in the camper....but the coffee was nice an hot!
Pizza fail, lol-yup, yeah cheese has a lot of moisture in it, covering with lid killed it. I use pizza stone in the oven and if i pile on the cheese it will make the crust soggy too, so cut back on the cheese, cut it thin, n add something else like pepperoni n make a rack for the bottom of the pot say out of aluminium pie plate, poke holes in it too, place it upside down in the pot of course and lets see if that works? …(i have no idea if it will.)🍻
All good ideas! Thanks
Loved it all!! Time lapsed shoveling was cool 😎...pizza in the Dutch oven..hmm🤔 very interesting. Crust always needs air...so if you either pre bake it ahead or leave lid off and flip it (fire under not on top)..hope that helps. It looked awesome! Love the winter camping-- next year were doing it and taking snowmobiles. Is there boondock places you can recommend that have snowmobile trail access?
I'm gonna have to work on the pizza situation. I can give you a few tips. They are snow mobile trail heads in state forests. A lot will depend on snow amounts. The lots are not maintained well. You may or may not have a DNR officer asking you to move along. I got booted out of one spot last year but the officer was nice and gave me suggestions of where I could overnight park. You can reach me through email. Kennyofalltradeschannel@gmail.com
@@KennyOfAllTrades great advice! My boy and I trailered up to onamia for a day ride (25 miles north) and parkekd at that old rainway staion. We rode sleds all through kathio..and wow, its so gorgeous there in the winter! I had NO IDEA how much, I've rode horse there several times in warmer weather but loved the snowmobiling so much. It was fresh groomed day before..not a bump anywhere and like riding a smooth sailing roller-coaster..no joke! Thanks so much, Kenny!
Love fresh trails. I grew up pounding ditches. Once I found out how nice tails are it was hard to go back to ditch riding.
@@KennyOfAllTrades I hear ya on that! Both of my boys love the ditches and me...not so much 😉 some are good but I prefer the trails. This winter has been so awesome for riding! I can't wait to try out the truck camper tho. Like I said..I'm new to truck camping. We have big Rv (34ft) and I use a smaller old one for horse camping 22ft..so the truck camper gives me more options for pulling and doing more boondocking. Your experience is very fun to follow. You have a great set up and do excellent maintenance on it. I'm taking notes 😁😉
Thanks for all the kind words. I hope you love the truck camper as much as I do. I think I was born 150 years to late, so now the Truck camper is my covered wagon and I'm exploring the trails already found.
Kenny your pizza topping looked delicious but that crust?????. When camping we use flower totillias for the crust. If you like a thin crust they are fast easy and they taste good too.
The crust was a huge FAIL. I do prefer a thin crust. The tortillas is a great idea!
Fresh mozzarella has more moisture in it if you use regular shredded mozzarella you might not get all that liquid in your pan, nothing beats the fresh stuff but might not be best for dutch oven
Hi Kenny when you make videos and you talk about dates or leave them could you also include the year as well ? I enjoy your channel very much but am curious what year is it about !
Great suggestion 👌 I'm doing that moving forward. I like that idea.
❤❤❤
11:07 was hoping to see a Sasquatch 🦶sighting …..😂
Me too!
Love your travels Ken, love winter, is your camper a 4 season? Do you use your water system in the cold,I would like to do the same travels in our TC ,stay safe!
Thanks! The camper is a 4 season model. But when temperatures fall to -10 I find it's super hard to keep the basement area warm. I have busted shutoff valves from freezing water in the past. Thankfully I've never had a line break. I have a video explaining how I keep water in the camper as long as I can. I'll leave a link.

Thanks for watching!
Rhodes frozen bread dough should also work for pizza dough.
Good idea, I'll try that next time. I love the Rhodes buns.
@@KennyOfAllTrades Ahh, you already know about Rhodes. It should work.
Dam, no bigfoot again.
Hey Kenny, when are you going to get a butane torch? Every modern camper Carrie’s a butane torch to start their camp fire. 😊
Never now that you said every modern camper has one. Lol
@@KennyOfAllTrades The butane torches are very small and take very little space. It’s a must have tool for every Truck Camper (best way to start a camp fire).
It’s nice to see more people enjoying truck campers. I’m currently looking for an Arctic Fox 990 truck camper. And prior to that I’ve been tent camping most of my life. Another good thing is I’ll be able to visit the same camp grounds when I get my truck camper.
Enjoy your truck camping adventures and thanks for all the great videos! See ya Kenny!

I think you will love your truck camper after tenting. It'a like you're staying at the Ritz-Carlton while parked in the middle of nowhere. Thanks for watching the videos Randall, I appreciate you following along.
Simpler than that is tortilla pizza. Use tortilla shells (soft) and put your ingredients n, cover and cook.. easy preasy.
Obviously, fold over. But super easy and really good
All your side lights are on at 10:41, they are led I suspect, but using energy. Why not shut them off too.
You've got a great eye and that happens pretty quick. I think what was going on was the camera light was causing reflection in the lens on the camper because all the lights were out. I was able to make itt with no generator. The larger Gell batteries having been working great.
Hi Kenny,
New to your channel, you just popped on my feed. I have a question, do you think this bike could be good in the southwest desert?
Great question! I've had an ebike for many years. Here's what I can say about this bike. The 4" tire provide a lot more traction then the 3" fat tire. I was surprised how much more cushion the fatter provides as well. Most companies have gone to the 3" because it has less rolling resistance. I like the rims on this bike as well. I think they will hold up better then spokes in the long run. I'll provide an article I found reviewing the more popular ebikes in this price range. I think this bike is an excellent value for the price.

Thank you Kenny Im going to check the comparative specs and reviews this a great article 😉and great channel!
you forgot the most important ingredient to your pizza... pepperoni
Good video, got to say, you need to learn how to cook. When you make pizza, you dont use fresh mozzarella, you use low moisture, added to the thickness of the mushroom, you've got far to much moisture on the pizza.
Good tip! I won't lie, I'm not a good cook! It's a toss-up on whether or not my stuff turns out. I'm just keeping it real.
@@KennyOfAllTrades didnt mean to come across rude, love your vids!
Oh no, you didn't at all! I messed up that pizzis horribly. Like another viewer said, there's cooking, and then there is baking. I can cook things......but as far as baking...Im no good.
What is your favorite bike you have ?
The Rad Mini 4. It was my first ebike. I've had it for about 6 years. It folds down to easily fit in the back seat. They made the bike so you can easily upgrade it. Nothing on the bike is factory. Unfortunately, they don't make the bike anymore. They went to a folding step through model.
What e-bike class is your new one? class 1, 2 or 3?
Its class 3.....I think...I love ebikes but I'm no expert. It has throttle and peddle assist. A 750 watt motor capable of 996 watts max and tops out at 28 mph. That's why I believe it's a class 3.
Hey mid 20's.....for about an hour from 1 to 2 pm.....not for everybody including this fair weather dude. At 66 I'll stay in S.C. in winter.

Where’s Tobey?
Toby and I started out adventures together this past February. He's been in every video since, but there's about 120 camping videos with no Toby. When I watch the old videos, I feel there's something missing. Toby has been a great addition to the family.
