As a man who plays competitive video games like R6 quite regularly, I can’t count the number of times I’ve been told I’m going to be r worded. People will say the worst things they can on the internet because they are anonymous and they want to get under peoples skin, but I don’t think I’ve ever gotten off the game and feared for my life because some random basement dweller threatened it. Guys are used to this banter in gaming and recognize it as such, while yes some things probably shouldn’t be said in game chat, but they can’t actually hurt you and you can always block them
