- I got this video out a lot faster than I originally thought. I'm trying a new video format where I write some of my thoughts as the video progresses so you guys can get an idea of what my thought process is while establishing my argument. I think the fastest win condition for Katakuri besides raw speed blitzing, is using his awakened power to immobilize all of the Pain and then skewering the Animal Path first, then the Naraka Path, then Tendo Path for being the strongest, and from there doesn't matter who dies next. If Gear 4 can't even escape from awakened Mochi, these guys definitely can't.

That may be true, but it's unquantifiable. It's the same for Haki blooms in battle. It factually exists in the story, but is unquantifiable as a scaling factor.

One piece power scaling has never been set in stone
Gear 2 needed a few hits to bring Blueno down bur more to beat Lucci, who in his base is around 4-5 times stronger
So it means Gear 2 maybe multiplies Luffy’s base power by 5-10
I want to say I'm surprised, but not really. I mean it would be interesting to see Nagato react to Katakuri's physique. Dude is about 16ft 8in tall and he uses trident that's not too far off from his own height. He could actually make 3 Pain hotdogs out of the 6. I can also see the Tendo path using Universal Pull, and just before Katakuri is impaled by anything he morphs to the size of Tendo Pain and uses the momentum to fly past him. Imagine how confused Tendo Pain would look if that was their first opening moves and haven't seen Katakuri morph at all. Also imagine to Pain's horror when he thought Chibaku Tensei worked only for it to start jiggling, he sees Katakuri standing on the surface of it like nothing happened, then Katakuri begins raining down giant mochi punches.

It’s so annoying when people try to debunk the “Luffy dodging Pacifista light beams” Because he saw into the future, it makes no sense, Just because you can see a sniper bullet after it’s fired doesn’t mean you’ll for sure dodge it, not to mention he dodged in between to beams which is just a feat of its own

Nope future sight works on everything. Luffy literally used it on a Pacifista at egghead.

Another W for the one piece verse, but I enjoy how you still consider the possible win conditions even when Katakuri takes the cake.
It is pretty smart, you make it easier for comparisons to see how easily each fighter can achieve those win conditions against the opponent then taking their stats and abilities into account.
I mean majority of the power cliffing for Naruto happens around the war arc whereas one piece is sorta more slow paced with growth
Remember op luffy wasn’t ftl until after the time skip (2 years)
All of Naruto shippuden takes place between 2-1 years and within that time Naruto goes from building levels to planetary with mftl speeds (and most of it happened between a few days)

I used to watch a ton of power scaling vids bc I enjoy seeing who would win in hypothetical battles, but stopped after seeing how people on all sides (more so Naruto than anyone else but everyone still does it) wank the power lvl of their preferred side to insane degrees. I was watching your vid and the moment you were talking how KCM1 Naruto’s raikage speed feat was travel speed not combat speed you earned my respect and redeemed power scaling in my eyes. Naruto gets crazy during and after the war, but pre war gets wanked too much.

5 seconds actually. But if the Deva Path uses Shinra Tensei to destroy a population center like Konoha the recovery time it takes the Deva Path to use Shinra Tensei again will take longer. The Pain bodies can only use a tech or 2 while Nagato can use all the abilities of the Pain bodies simultaniously. Nagato's only weakness is his limited mobility and the amount of chakra he has when he's fighting an opponent or groups of opponents. Madara being the original owner of Nagato's Rinnegan was a lot more powerful than Nagato summoning multiple meteors and multiple Chibaku Tenseis unlimited chakra from the World Tree/Ten Tails and also far better at tai jutsu. He would be more than a match for most strong OP characters.

I've seen so many "powerscalers" on youtube who confuse reaction speed, movement speed and combat speed and use all of them interchangeably. All three of them are drastically different.
Reaction speed and combat speed are the most important in a vs battle there is nothing to us e movement speed for in this instance
I really enjoyed Kataluri's porpuse in the power scaling road of One Piece. The penultimate boss before the final bosses. The gatekeeper for the Yonko level, which is the peak strength of One Piece. After Katakuri, Kaido was Luffy's main arc opponent. It was perfect.

The raikage is never lightspeed because when he even does a combined attack with bee, he is nearly light speed so it would track that none of of his attacks are faster even the cloak

Buso Haki increases your defenses and allows you to hit harder, as well as emitting it away from your bosy

Those are pretty much sage mode abilities but better
I said this in a different video, but One Piece characters are rather specifically geared to beating down 6 Paths characters because they mostly rely on physical power, and any devil fruit abilities won't be absorbed because it's not chakra and they use the real thing, like magma from Akainu is the real deal magma, not like Mei's lava style.
Even if Katakuri did get caught in the gravity well jutsu, couldn't he just transform the meteor into mochi so that it doesn't crush him?
here's a quick katakuri speed scaling for the ones who think he isn't ftl:
so, luffy being able to react and dodge pacifista lasers in base is an indication of ftl reaction time and relativistic+ speed at bare minimum. luffy in dressrossa gets perception blitz'd multiple times by doffy which puts doffy at ftl speed. not only that, but luffy is also outclassed in his g2 state which, in the data books, is stated to be 10x multiplier. making doffy 10xftl. then luffy not only speed blitzes doffy, but doffy couldn't even react to some of luffy's moves in g4. btw gear 4 is stated to increase luffy's power by several times. several=more than 2 so 3x multiplier at bare minimum which makes luffy 30xftl. this same g4 luffy is getting dog walked by katakuri and isn't able to land a single hit. which means katakuri is 30xftl at least. so, katakuri is ftl+ in speed and higher in reaction speed due to future sight.

If you take the Top 50 strongest Characters from both series to make a Top 100, 1-10 would be Naruto characters, 11-60 would all be One Piece Characters.
Anyone worth power-scaling in One Piece just out-scales the vast majority of the Naruto-verse.

Skypiea all the way to Sabaody is pretty good cause it shows the clear progression from lightning tier from Enel all the way to lightspeed and FTL from Kuma and Pacifista lasers.

Besides the major players in the war arc, everyone else is basically hot garbage to even mid level characters in the New World such as Sanji's brothers. Hell, we can put up Darui the light laser guy from the Cloud village vs Ichiji and Ichiji probably beats him based on the fact Ichiji can outrun his own lightspeed laser attacks.
I would say they are pretty equal but in terms of physical strength one piece is way stronger

Between all of them, the kage have 1 attack that could work, the one that destroys stuff on a molecular level, and even then Kaido’s speed feats puts him massively above them, and he’s way too strong and tough for them to hold him down.

This is how who is stronger debates should be. Not disrespecting either of the combatants and look at their abilities and feats that sounds like it took a lot of time
I'm one of those guys who always was arguing against statement that G4 Bounceman blitzed Doflamingo. Doflamingo was blitzed once only because Luffy flanked, in the same way Doflamingo also blitzed Luffy after dodging culevrine and kicking Luffy in stomach.
Meanwhile Doflamingo was tagging almost all attacks of G4 and was getting hit only if he relied too much on durability of his attacks (trying to clash with Culevrin by using Overheat) or trying to block headbush with pillars of strings, or after he felt drawbacks of gamma knife (at least in anime he grabbed his stomach and got distracted by pain, which was used by Luffy to avoid awakening, drastically decrease distance and land leo bazooka). Outside of that Doflamingo was comparable in speed by his capability to continuously perceiving and prevent Luffy from getting close with awakening slowly exhausting him eventually driving him out of G4. In one moment he even casually blocked double Culevrin with awakening of G4 Luffy who was rushing towards Doffy.
But in this context it doesn't matter, since it's mostly Snakeman Katakuri's speed is scaled from which is indeed much faster.

This might be a more interesting discussion than Kaido vs Madara, not only by there’s multiple versions of Blackbeard that can be scaled, but because of his arrogance his slip ups might give Madara advantages that he wouldn’t have against Kaido.

@@El_Eon_ It is a good match up, speed gap is a bit too much in Katakuri's favor. The Haku moving from mirror to mirror at lightspeed is more an outlier than actual speed feat. It's not like it's reinforced the same way Zoro dodges Kuma's pad cannons then the lightspeed beams, then in the next arc Sabaody, they do the same thing again but only with the beams.

There is a fan comic called World's connection where a bunch of anime characters are summoned to fight in a massive battle royale. The opening fight of this series was Pain vs Gilgamesh(Fate) and then immediately fighting Katakuri right after.

People forget that the majority of powerful abilities in Naruto require chakra.
One piece has a different type of power system and is not energy based.
Haki has been stated to be Will and Not Energy based.
So with that being said those abilities wont work on op characters

Even if they run out of Haki, most relevant characters in One Piece have Devil Fruits which provide their own set of abilities that can run counter to Naruto techniques

Good break down. I debated a BlackBeard Vs Nagato battle a little while ago. (BB wins just as easily)
- Nagato uses universal pull? Gets himself punched in the face by an earthquake and breaks just as badly as Itachi’s Susanoo squeezing him broke him.
- Summoning jutsu? That dark vortex, black hole thing that sucks everything up takes care of all them. (Would probably work on Nagato too cause he’s very immobile and was too slow to react to the paperbombs that took his legs)
- Planetary devastation? We saw BB break a giant place like Marinford seconds after getting WBs devil fruit. Wouldn’t be impossible for him to break the planetary devastation with one punch.
- Almighty Push? We saw 6 tails Naruto break it with raw power. Earthquake punches fused with Haki doing the same thing.
- Nagato’s soul snatching MIGHT WORK on BB but only if BB doesn’t paralyze him with his darkness or just break him with an earthquake punch while they’re in the middle of tug of waring for it.
- Basically Nagato gets over powered
Yeah, Nagato would struggle with Yonkou Commander level characters, let alone Blackbeard.
Imho this is an aweful MU for Nagato. His hax relies a fair amount on his opponents not knowing where the main body is located. Katakuri will find him literally from miles away. I imagine it would look like the seven paths on a mad dash to stop kata while he sprints straight to goal
tbh katakuri is just such a bad matchup for nagato, someone like Queen wich is similar in strenght to katakuri would have a much rougher time with pain

My guy, I think you may need to use some of the Thriller Bark Zoro vs Kuma scenes and pre-timeskip Sabaody Pacifista fights for lightspeed/FTL speed scaling or at least as corroborating feats. I don't know about you, but I'm getting real tired of all the "observation haki aim dodging" and "bro just tilted his head, FTL scaling my ass" arguments.
If they can't accept Zoro finessing Kuma's Pad Cannon that's stated to be lightspeed in the manga and anime itself, then these people can't keep choking on the the Raikage lightspeed lariat and punch or god forbid the Haku "feat." Correct me if I'm wrong, but these are mainly from databook statements? Even if I am wrong, I think One Piece has a decent amount of lightspeed/FTL feats pre-timeskip to shut some people up.
Oh don't get me wrong. I am working on a video right now that's going to scale all of one piece's speed. You are not the only one who's tired of people lowballing these characters' speed.

It was a safe assumption that you were getting tired of seeing those arguments yourself, because I've seen you try to explain it many times to the newer commenters who say One Piece isn't FTL+. I can't believe I even have to say this, but will you be making a short disclaimer about One Piece being a fictional story, so real world logic shouldn't apply?

The Feats are there, They mention it within the story instead of supplementary materials like data books. I feel like people's biggest problem is that they hear that one piece characters are light speed without any buildup. Might as well start from the beginning and work my way up. You know what I mean?

I'd probably hand it to Kizaru. Logia intangibility plus Kizaru can kinda just carpet bomb the field with mini bijuudamas as a base attack, far faster and spammier than any thing Minato can do, even with Flying Raijin. Heck Flying Raijin gets hard countered by Observation Haki.

I want to eventually branch out to other kinds of mangas and characters and even have some ideas for possible videos like Lies of P vs stellar blade. I feel like the biggest problem people have with scaling One piece characters to FTL is that they believe kizaru tops out at light speed. It's inherently flawed logic because nothing in the series even remotely implies that kizaru isn't capable of moving faster than the initial speed has devil fruit grants.
You have characters like old Rayleigh that could keep up with him and is stated to be an equal, who doesn't have any powers and can still keep up with his speed so naturally. Kizaru being the greatest military power in the world government should be capable of surpassing the limitations of his devil fruit and we've seen him do it to an Egghead.
The fact the Kat can act like a Logia type is also a good advantage his rods will never hit him

Chibaku tensei doesn't work. If you remember, both Kurama and Momoshiki were able to escape it with brute force and a dragon technique.
And if Katakuri uses his awakening before the battle, it would be over more quickly.

With regards to speed, there's something called a blitz tier. This is a 4-6 times difference in speed. So if you blitz someone with light speed scaling, you scale to 4-6 times light speed. And if someone then blitzes you, they'd be 4-6 times that, or 16-36 times FTL depending on the calculation.
So both Pain and Katakuri should scale a couple blitz tiers above light, or 16-36 times light speed.
Both have higher metas, but I'm going by just the feats presented here.

Katakuri's Mochi Mochi Devil Fruit is classified as a Special Paramecia, making him similar to a Logia. Since his body is made out of mochi, touching "him" will be like touching Mochi (there's a panel where Bege shoots him, and he doesn't morph his body, the bullets just don't damage his true body), so in order to touch him, someone needs Haki.

Problem is light speed is a common trait for characters in one peice if they are to be even on the level past marine ford heck even back on thriller bark Zoro dogged kumas attacks and ever since most enemies upscale with not to mention the system of haki is broken being to practically see the future durability negation and enhancements and for speed one peice is a lot more consistent and constantly get faster as the story progress which is funny not to mention haki bloom means they can get much stronger within the battle
An easy bit of scaling I use to argue was that Sage Naruto was considered Top Tier in his verse . That same Naruto was able to hurl summonings like childs play. What's wild is east blue lvl characters could easily beat creatures that size and bigger 😅. Just imagine someone like Katakuri lvl😂
What's interesting about sage mode is it's underlying risks. Just like goku's kaoiken. Short powerful burst that has its drawbacks. If you want light speed feat then sage naruto is not the right comparison imo.
Huh. You do have a point. Arlong Park had Luffy and Sanji casually beating a Sea Cow up. In the same arc, the Sea Cow returned and Luffy did throw that Sea Cow pretty decently far away. Then post timeskip the Monster Trio is no diffing an almost 1,000ft. tall kraken.

lmao this was so one sided, i requested this in the previous video but I still think that sukuna vs doffy would be a much closer fight since sukuna wouldn't just get speed blitzed since he has reverse curse technique and has reacted to kashimo. doffy replacing sukuna in the shibuya incident would also be interesting but regardless of what you make all these video are super entertaining
Im not sure If I agree with the kashimo feat where he dodges the electrical blast at close range since nothing really implies he used the radio/magnet waves (I forgot exactly what they were called) during that attack.
He seems to be massively hypersonic which is more consistent with other characters and feats.
Doffy replacing Sukuna in Shibuya would be funny though besides the speed difference since he could technically catch all of Shibuya in his bird cage and smoke everyone after like an hour. Also it would make sense for him to take sukuna's place because Jogo literally throws a meteor at him like Fujitora

Oh yeah on the whole kizaru can’t move faster than light because he is light so the one piece world is capped at light speed never makes sense to me because 1. There are so many feats and powerful cliffing in one piece that dents this plus people seem to forget that haki can suppress or enhance devil fruit powers so that you are not stuck at your base devil fruit power but can instead make it stronger. This has been shown many times and was literally stated by kaido himself when luffy turned gear 5 thus means that kizaru can move faster than light.

Aaaand Kisame since being in a ball of water is kinda a problem for a devil fruit user. If he used that trick and if the resulting water counts as sea water then Kat’s inky choice is to future sight and get out of there, this is again assuming he doesn’t just speedblitz Kisame
Everyone else is kinda boned. Hidan gets some blood? Oh the area he is stabbing is suddenly made of mochi. Sasori uses poison? People in One Piece can just power through poisons as Luffy himself has shown plenty of times. Everyone else just lacks the ability to really threaten him in any meaningful way
My guess is that Katakuri is going to be pummeled by 7 different pains. If it's one one with the Deva Path as it normally is, I'd guess the main argument would be that Pain does not compare to Katakuri speed

After two straight years of training; Luffy easily dodges lasers, knocks out a Kraken in sea water, destroys a small nation sized ancient Ark, punches that scales city level, now he’d solo all of Naruto’s verse.
Honestly, I would argue the power cliffing in Wano is worse. The best comparison I can think off is Luffy getting a War arc Naruto level of power boosting, or at least the One Piece equivalence to that.
