ALASKA BOUND | Camping & Hiking in the Alaska Wilderness With Friends & Celebrating Our Anniversary

Jen and I left the heat of the modern day Oregon summer, to visit some very dear friends and to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary in Alaska.
We camped and hiked around the small town of McCarthy, Alaska. We set up camp at the foot of the mighty Kennicott Glacier and explored the area. All in all we had a great time taking in the nature views, being inspired by its beauty and catching up with our wonderful hosts.
One big highlight was to get to attend a meetup with travel documentarian ‪@evazubeck‬ . She shared great stories of living on the road and traveling all while trying to document it all. She was also incredibly generous and gave us her unused bear spray to take out hiking and camping with us. Thank you sooo much ‪@evazubeck‬ , luckily we didn't have to use it!
