Good to see. TBH his style has not only affected mine but it's affected my mental side as well, this idea of enjoying every moment regardless of where you are vs the ball.
As much as you hate to see the direction Epic has been taking this game lately, it's so hard not to be excited to watch these insane new rosters and players on the scene, especially MENA.
@@TheRealUncleScar It will take time for them to really develop that. I don't understand why pros main 2's and 1's and almost never play 3's. It shows here that you really shouldn't do that. The playstyle in 1's and 2's creates bad habits for 3's and it showed

I feel like Dark is really going to struggle at RLCS level in 3's - way too much of an ape playstyle, and way too boost hungry. I can see him very quickly starving out his team mates and constantly getting caught on zero boost.
Agree. I know he's a good player, especially 1s and 2s, but this 1st game he looked like hot garbage. A few good plays, but also out of place often, and colliding with teammates at boosts.
Don't get me wrong, I love how Dark plays, but I really think he needs some more time to warmup for very high level 3v3 matches. He is a mechanical monster but when there are more people involved then it becomes much less easy to manage. Hopefullt he will get some victories in RLCS but I think we'll need to wait some more time. The MENA guys here are really a pleasure to watch. I was already a fan of Team Falcons and I really wanna see them go big, very nice synergy between them.
Idk about falcons but I don't think rw9 and killerrz will place as good as they did last year I'm not sure but something tells me rule one will be better
He looks way better than what people expected honestly, this pretty much proves the haters wrong who said that he won't be a good 3s player , he is already a bubble team player and only 15 , with 1 defensive mate and 1 who can connect that mate and Dark would do pretty well, but they gotta let Dark be the main offensive player
I think this has literally proved the opposite. He is at the level of a bubble-player which is what most expected, but is looking unlikely to do anything beyond that. Racing around like a headless chicken trying to 1v3 the other team, ignoring passing plays, zero positioning. People really need to stop kissing his ass until he's actually done something, anything, to actually earn it.
Rw9 literally got MVP at a major in a losing team lol , until Nwpo does anything like that he is not better (MVPs almost always come from the team who wins at the end so getting an MVP in a losing team is much more impressive)
@@davidkosiba624 they forget how good you must be to be able to challenge vitality with a team of unknowns and stand your ground for the whole match and not lose with a high scoreline. They don't know what it takes to do that and play good, heck even Zen might find it difficult to pull that off. Its impressive to say the least and I'm yet to see anyone do something similar against Vitality in their prime nowadays.
Dark looks like a really good 3s player. Very fast and mechanical, and his teammates can help tighten up any defensive mistakes to let him open up on offense.
Not at all, almost everytime when he has the ball, he just tries to score it by himself. He needs to learn that sometimes he should pass the ball or make a play to help his teammates score.
@@power_270Solo plays are literally what sets teams apart lol , in today's RLCS you need 1s experience and solo plays too, team play is not enough anymore , Team Liquid was literally known for always going for solo plays and they were a top4 team last season , Dark just needs teammates on his level and he will be a very good 3s player
@@davidkosiba624a lot of it is just poor decision making and timing. His timing of when to go for a solo play is just really off and it was extremely evident in the rule one series
@davidkosiba624 that's not true. Team liquid was making either insane passes or making insane plays that break their opponents' defense so their teammates score it easily. What dark is doing is like the og firstkiller or Daniel before going to g2. They were excellent individually but bad as 3s players.
Seeing how darks playstyle messes him up a lot in his 1s forcing wave dashes, i hope he realizes to not do it as much in RLCS.. his team needs him to be in the right spot based off of timing and if he messes up his forced zap dashes it will be a rough time lol..
With how good defense is I can't imagine they will work too often, in 1v1 the opponent has to respect the shot and give space, in 3v3 they will shut them down most likely
Dark definitely uses macros, I'm 100% sure now. You can tell by the speed of wavedash on the wall. Also, it is not normally possible to go down from the top while wave dashing on the wall. Ground dash is also not possible because no one can jump in such a short millisecond. Macro makes this possible, too, and it jumps very short distances. I have these settings too. I hope RL or the commune explains that using macros is ethical because it's definitely a lot of fun and very innocent!!!
Hey feer not sure if you read your comments but i think something basically opposite of next gen would be cool like a 20+ tourney or something let some retired pros shine
I see he struggle because of low ping in MENA servers (maybe he play usually with high ping in EU servers) He must get used to the low ping or he will not succeed in LAN
@@salemyaslem9792 no, that's because he's an extremely aggressive ball chaser. He isn't missing because of better ping he's missing or getting poor touches because he's going to fast for his own good. He's the same way on eu servers, only difference is 3's tends to extenuate players issues when it comes to playing "to quickly"
Dark is so much faster than the rest, he’s ahead of the game. Other players like Zen seem to outplay more, which is definitive. Dark is just way too fast for his opponents and teammates
Which really isn't a good thing. Being faster than your teammates is not good since that means they won't be there to support the offense and then will just give the ball away
TLDR: Dark would be the best player in the world if he didn't play like a crackhead. My biggest issue with Dark is that he's the embodiment of everything I don't like about the direction RL has taken. He can literally be traveling at supersonic and still be using boost, doing zap dashes, doing wall dashes, etc. It's just a waste. He would rather do dashes and flips while already at supersonic just to look cool, than actually be in or stay in a good position for his team. Dark plays the way every GC and SSL plays but he adds in even MORE useless movement; but at least he actually has good mechanics. Dark has, without a doubt, the best recoveries in this game and that's the ONLY reason he gets away with this playstyle. It's just so upsetting to watch someone so skilled go and stunt their potential purely because they want to do cool dashes. Now, I understand that he has the best recoveries BECAUSE he is always practicing these dashes and advanced recoveries in game, but when you're competing in RLCS I imagine it is only annoying to his teammates when they dime him up for a pass but he's not there because he wanted to do 10 wall dashes back to his corner boost. There's a time and place Dark, don't give up offensive pressure just because you wanna look cool dashing around the pitch like a crackhead. Basically I'm saying that Dark has the best recoveries, but some of the worst positioning I've ever seen from a pro. He gets around the pitch fast, and he does it looking cool, but he's giving up good offensive positioning to do so. I understand more and more each day what Flakes means when he says he won't play until players actually focus on efficiency. Unfortunately, for the time being, playing like a crackhead is more effective than actually playing with your brain. But I just know there will be a team to come along and destroy this terrible mindset. A team that always rotates back post, a team that knows when to stay up field for passes, a team that can punish this disgusting crackhead playstyle; and they will do so without needing to wall dash 10 times in a row, while burning all their boost, all while already traveling supersonic.
