Hell yeah thanks brother!! You the real mvp
Sick ass videos bro, giving me motivation to finally do the swap on my teg 🤟
It’s well worth it and to this date it’s held up flawlessly!
Nice videos mate, no bullshit just straight to the point
Just the way we like it🤣
@@ValveHouseAU Don't forget to shout out ur old man!
Wow you guys are awesome at doing these Honda cars, I owned Red Euro CL9 and Black DC2 Type R I live in Sydney.
Awesome! We love our Honda’s, what car do you have now?
@@ValveHouseAU Hiace, Pulsar N16, CL9, DC2R, Civic fb, 86. My DC2 Type R I had to change the clutch and flywheel a year ago because it was worn out, Exedy HD Clutch Kit and Exedy Lightweight flywheel (4.1kg) with new rear main seals.
@@an43l that’s awesome, quite the collection you have. Might have to meet up some time👍
@@ValveHouseAU For sure why not! =)
It's not only the right hand drive that tells me he's in Australia but the freaking magpies haha I love those creatures and I don't even live there
Hahaha the magpies love us!!
i just finished part 1,
Do you have a part number for the exedy flywheel
Great work! What kind of Flywheel bolts did you use?
Re-used the manual flywheel bolts
I just bought a manual parts car and I'm doing this to my auto integra(both 2 door 98 hatchbacks) what clutches would you recomend/did you consider before choosing the exedy, and why did you settle on that clutch as opposed to some other clutch? Was it just how agressive of a clutch it is or was there another reason?
Great question, the exedy seems to have an awesome reputation and the price was really good as well, $600aud for lightened flywheel (I would highly recommend) and the clutch. So far the clutch has been awesome and I have had no issues. Definitely recommend.
Hey bro I’m doing a conversion as well your videos have helped me a lot great job man! I was gonna ask if you re-used your axles? Or did you use manual ones?
Re-used the auto axles. Just need the manual half-shaft
@@ValveHouseAU awesome bro one last question how about the motor mounts did you re-used those as well?
You have to get a manual trans mount and manual rear “T” mount as the auto ones won’t line up. Other than that, all the stock mounts were used
@@ValveHouseAU thanks man, keep making great content 🔰✅
Working on this project myself right now and I thought I'd pulled all the mounts and engine-to-transmission bolts out, but I still can't get the transmission off the engine. Did you guys have to pry yours off?
Shouldn’t have to pry but if it is stuck don’t be afraid to pry it off a bit because the dowels can be very stubborn…
hey dude curious to know which hasport trans mount you used
It’s the Hasport DCAMH mount👍
hey did you use the same drive plate bolts for the flywheel or got different bolts ?
You HAVE to use manual flywheels bolts, the auto drive plate bolts are shorter and aren’t long enough for the flywheel
A bro what’s that bracket called the one on the side of the transmission?
The one on the top of the trans is the trans mount and the one on the side/bottom is called the torque mount
Hi there where did you get the flywheel from?
www.jdmyard.com
So you didn't use a full manual pedal assembly? You only put the clutch pedal?
That’s right, only the clutch pedal.
It should also be mentioned needing a 12 point socket for the bolts 👍
^^^ this is absolutely necessary. If you don’t already you will need a 12 point socket set
@@ValveHouseAU what size if u can remember
DON'T FORGET! Blue Loctite on the flywheel bolts. Good insurance so that your flywheel won't saw through your radiator @ 6000 RPMs.
No loctite, probably should have but I’m sure it will come off in the near future. Not like it’s under lots of load as the car weighs just over a tonne.
which gear box you use for the b20b
We have a B18B and an S80 gearbox was used. It’s the long ratio unfortunately so something may need to be done about that in the future.
I have a 4 door automatic integra, i want to manual swap it, what transmission am i looking for?
S80/Y80/S4C
Was wondering how much this costs for all materials or at least how much it costed for you?
It was roughly around $1900 in total a while back, that includes the clutch and lightened flywheel
How long that clutch lasted cuz exedy is the worst clutch ever always ran action clutch.
It’s been over a year now and has not skipped a beat, drives like it did when I first put it in and handles abuse amazingly
Thought the car was a VTiR, as they only came with manual and with the B18c2 VTEC engine.
Your Integra is a DC1 Integra GSi, non vtec b18b. What a shame. Lol
Ouch😂, it’s actually a DC4, non vtec b18b1. Fun fact the DC4 had the best torque to weight ratio out of all the integras including the type r.
@@ValveHouseAU whoop my bad I meant dc4. Yea torque don't mean much when it doesn't have top end, dc2 and dc2r would demolish it. No hate, just facts.
@@xconankunx4530 Definitely.
