- Things didn't go as planned on this one. I've been teaching myself how to do a lot of things on this crazy cabin build, but this was the most intimidating thing of the entire house build...

The best part about building this house yourself is every time you look at it you’ll remember all the laughs and memories with the friends who helped you build it ❤️
I came for the truck camping videos but stayed for the home building videos too! I just really enjoy your channel, no matter the content. Especially love seeing how you adapt & overcome little obstacles that come your way! House is coming along & looking amazing! Can’t wait to see the complete finished project!
Awesome. I concur.
definite gold stars on flexibility and adaptability
my exact thoughts; well said
You said it brother 👊🏼✌🏼
This 💯💯💯 I don't even build things but I wanna see this through the end 🤷🏼♀️😆
I've never laughed so hard at one of your videos. The vibe you two have is hilarious. It's so cool how the vibe of each person shows a different side of you. Love your vids ❤.
YIKES! Look forward to the video and so glad someone was around to help! 🥺
Your Dad has to be so proud!! Like father like son! Awesome build! Love the house!
What a beautiful home! Great job, guys, you work so good (and hilariously) together. Thanks for teaching us, Tim, how to catch a drone in the wind at 40 feet up!! 😂
Every time I see you two hoisting those big panels in that wind I think of Tom Hanks in 'Castaway': "We have a SAIL!" 🤣
Timmy, what a man ! I love how you live on the edge and stay balanced but please bear caution when close to the edge of your roof - 😊
I am curious if he will be adding railings to the roof.
@@ryanlavallee5609 i hope so …..
He said he will be adding railings.
He said that he will be adding cable railings. Much needed for the parties that will be going on up there😂. I hope he does some content of the grand opening of his beautiful home!
Glad to see you learned your lesson about shutting off a jig boom while in it. I’ve done it before 85ft in the air. Good times😂
Glad I'm not the only one that's been stuck up in the air inside a bucket mine was a rental and it actually had a issue that I had to wait for a technician to come out luckily I was working so Time went by fast and it was a easy fix for the technician I guess it's a common occurrence with these things
You know you’re spoiling us with these longer videos? I think this one was the best yet. How in the world you make all that fit is beyond me. And you’re endlessly cheerful while working on it! I hope you know that while you’re doing the real work, we’re watching with white knuckles and gritted teeth! When you’re done I feel drained 😂
Beautiful house and I can’t wait to see the railings go up. That boom lift was a huge help, even with the malfunctions that were pretty hysterical! And there’s nothing like good friends who will help you in all that wind and snow. ❤
PS: And wow: you’re a Mandalorian fan, too. I’m so ready for more Mando in 2024!
Great to have neighbors help! Looking fantastic! You guys are funny!
🎉🎉 Quite an achievement for you!!! Bet your Dad is proud !!! Bet you are too!!
Oh no 😮 I'm glad you're ok! Can't wait to watch! 🩵
You guys should be immensely proud. In MILD conditions, this would be an incredible job........but throw in cold and and snow-AMAZING.......
I've really been enjoying the lives of your build. Thank GOD for good friends, and thank GOD for good neighbors to help when you're UP, lol This is a beautiful build, I'm sure you'll enjoy it for many, many years and cherish the great memories of this adventure. Stay safe and GOD bless
I just fell upon a couple videos of him and his father in North Georgia. Amazing! It all makes sense now😅
Watch as much content as you can guys. Let's lift our guy up...... or maybe down (after this next video )
Loved this video and you two were funny! Not into construction but this was so entertaining. Please bring him back especially for camping, kayaking and all your snow sports. The two of you together was great !
You two are hilarious! Great job on this perilous phase of construction, looks so good.
You guys are freaking hilarious working together!!!!!
I’ve watched all your videos, and this one has to rank way up at the top for me !!!!
so glad you have a friend to help, that would have been impossible but yourself! glad you have another funny store to remember, y'all can have a few beers and laugh over the boom incident! Looking so nice Timmy you really hand crafted your new home!
Your build is really coming together. You must be proud to see your vision becoming reality. Love the channel, keep up the great work. Every video is entertaining, whether you are in the house truck or working on this incredible house.
Thanks!

Magnificent work! Everything looks amazing. The copper corners are terrific. Well done. Cheers.
Stoked for another video! Your killing it Timmy!! I've been keeping an eye on your subscriber number and you deserve every bit of your success ❤❤❤
What a MOA!!!! (Man of Action!!!) Love seeing you get 'er done.
Well done gents!!!! And thanks for the laughs along the way!
The mother in me worries every time you go near the edge on your roof-eeek! x
Patiently Waiting Lol
Thanks Timmy 👊🏻👍🏻 Sorry to hear about the setbacks, people showing up and trespassing, not cool. Stay safe and take care my friend 🙏🏻 God Bless
Appreciate you
Watching from snowy central NY…
This has been a bit of comic relief tonight 😂. Don’t mean to laugh at your hard job ….. but that music was funny! I admire both of you!!! What a job in tough conditions but you guys didn’t give up! 👏👏👏
Oh my gosh I was laughing so hard. I’m sorry. You and your friend really work well together. It looks beautiful. Great job
Hi,
I must say…I admire your ability to work in such cold conditions. Your friend is great….That’s going to be a nice home….I’ll keep watching. Take care.
Well, this was a video filled with fear, anxiety, skill and laughter. Thanks for the ride!
Hi Timmy great you had your friend to help, wow good thing your neighbor was able to get the machine started, everything is looking marvelous, thanks for sharing stay safe
Dang 😮!
Not a camping vid but watching anyway! Snow apocalypse indeed! That just looked scary, Your friend laughing had me cracking up!
Nothing like hanging metal in the freezing cold with a wind storm. Lol.
You guy's are dedicated. I wouldn't said the hell with it until spring. Lol
Great job 👏 👍
I’ve used a metal cutoff wheel, and the sparks fly, I’ll use the circular saw blade flop technique next. Thanks for sharing.
Your home is looking so super awesome every time I watch. Great job, Tim!! Love it!! ❤
as an Architect , your doing a fine job , looking good.
Thanks!!
I love your friend’s laugh. Lol
Great video man hell ya the progress is going good the place looks hella good I’m so glad you are a real person in your videos not pretending to be all proper and what not and props to the helper for keepin the spirits up that’s what’s it all about when you’re helping a buddy out. Stay safe out there
Thanks!
Whay an episode! Two Kings build a castle in the great white North. Dustin's sound bits are classic
@Truck House Life Love the content! Also cool to see/hear a couple guys putting in hard work in some extremely hard conditions and having a good time doing it. You two are a great example of how a good attitude goes a long way in feeling a sense of accomplishment vs work being an absolute hell.
You two together are a great team. Made me laugh listening to you guys. Love the siding!
keep the home building content coming. The videos are just as good as the adventures. I can't wait to see construction on the interior
The design is awesome! You are so talented.
There is a little black box fastened to the machine. That has your owners manual in it, per ANSI A92 standard. If you had read it you’d see that you should always have a harness on while operating, at any height. Also, all booms have an emergency electric override to get you down when the engine won’t start. That’s in the owners manual as well. No one ever reads those.
Glad you were having fun on this part of the build 😊. In that weather & having metal siding as yiur task I can't imagine most people laughing it up lol 😂. Looks great!😊 Stay safe 🙏
You definitely inherited your dad’s building ability! Great job!!
Awesome video as always, your friends a character 😮 the home is gorgeous great taste
I have been watching your videos since a month or two and really enjoyed them. I am amazed what you can do and what you get done. This house must be a fantastic place to live in once it is finished.
Man! That metal siding looks sharp! Just started full time living in an RV last year. My gf is a traveling nurse, and I teach online. Hope to get up to Alaska the Spring of '25. Hope to buy you a beer or coffee sometime. Look forward to your adventures Timmy! Be careful
That’s like trying to catch a hummingbird! You’re great!!
Hey Timmy, should probably run a bead of caulking on your corners where the J-trim meets the copper reveal. Love the build 👍
You are making yourself a pretty nice nice cabin! Looks like you are living my dream.
Aside from all the fun, it's well worth it. What a work of art. It's beautiful.
You both are so funny working together😅😂
Yes! 👋I've put siding on a three story house with a lift in -25 below with 6' drifts before! Good memories! 😂
Epic
Looking so good! What a good guy to get stuck with, no panic just go with the flow!
just a couple of guys doing what guys do! 😁
You guys make a truly funny team. 😂
Bro that black channeled siding you selected looks AWESOME and even complements your batten 'mistake'. Please tell me that you'll replace that makeshift snowplow shed, that's blocking a window, when the weather clears post-winter. You've put so thought and quality into the build thus far ...
Dude you have some good trusting friends. Not everyone has that. You should be grateful. Good luck with everything you have going on.
It's a good, good feeling completing a job like this. Me and my 2nd cousin once put on standing seam roofing in and around the Washington DC / Fairfax area. We did the old style where we made each piece by hand. Biggest diff was ours lays flat between the seams. Keep a good roof on and as long as the foundation stays dry, a house will literally last forever. Metal siding gave your home a very good look. Thank you for inviting us into your Alaskan life.
Outside of the house is really looking good. Dustin is frigging hilarious. Looking forward to seeing more of these videos.
WOW!!! What a stunningly beautiful place. When that sun shines, it is truly a winter wondeland.
Awesome! A friend in deed! So looking forwards to the interior now! It is off the charts what you designed and are building. Plus sharing it with us working in tough conditions.
This happened to me in my dad’s boom truck once. And another time it started spinning up in the air on its own!!!!! Needless to say it got a new controller board after!!!
Awesome video as always Timmy. Your Cabin is looking so awesome can't wait to see it when it's done. Keep up the great work.
thanks!
You sir have a lot of good friends, you are a lucky man !, love watching your channel, keep on living life to the fullest!
Looking forward to another fine video!
Great job dudes , looks fantastic metal to copper to wood contrast, nice design Timmy ❤ the house on land an the truck house so now x2 houses , happy happy for ya brother
😂 Please have Justin on more video's. He's a complete hoot! The clown music was perfect fit.

That looks so damn clean! Good job, wish I could join in a mad project like this.
Have you guys watched it yet?
3 videos in 3 days. Man, Timmy, you’re cranking these out!
Way to go Timmy .. the place is really looking sharp. Love your idea with the copper corners and how well it matches and and enhances the wood behind batons.
Exterior is looking awsome and looking forward to the interior projects 😃👍
This house looks AMAZING thank god for a great friend who came to help you ❣️
Congratulations on finishing the siding. Looks amazing!
Siding layout tip: Take your scrap cutoffs and cut 6in pieces enough to make a run across the planned siding layout to come up with equal end cuts and it will also give you layout for door and window and what ever you have to cut around. A pre planned layout for vertical siding.
Enjoyed again Timmy, you and your invisible helper did good job, watching CZcams videos, your Dad more knowledgeable , and the neighbor that helped, not the one where the cabin blocking his view stay safe ,catch you on the next video
Awesome video... Your house looks amazing. Keep up the awesome perseverance.
This was pretty entertaining I must say!
FYI an insta360 3X action camera will save you the trip of finding the right angle to record yourself & everything else.
Just push record & go. You find the right angle while editing. And you’ll find things happening without you noticing since it’s a 360 camera.
When you guys were joking around about drills… did you see that shorts video of a lady using a “hammer drill”?
She literally used a hammer hammering the back of a drill while drilling. 😂
Enjoyed your time in the snow, battling equipment, weather and guy’s having a blast in the blizzard winds.😂😂😂
"Remember that time we got stuck on the boom?"
Hahahaaa haaaa
Good times!
That's a cool house, I like the architectural appeal.
It looks fantastic. I enjoyed your sidekick too.
Heck of a project. Love the buddy system going in this one. Great banter back n forth. House looks great too. 🍁🤙
Who said you can't build in the winter in AK. You 2 just proved otherwise. Good job looks great good color coordination's.
All that boom needs is a hair dryer on low above the panel switches around a foot or so. It will run good as new
I like your truck camping videos because they are fun to watch and
I do learn a lot from them that I use when I'm out in my camper shell. Watching the home building videos while also entertaining. I'm actually learning some things, too. Great channel 👍
Idk if you notice Timmy, but even when you work by yourself you still say "we" and "our". Makes me feel actually invested in the work you do. Video is great as usual, good work bud 👌
Haha yup I do that because I mean you the viewer and me
It’s really coming together! All the little touches are starting to show🤙 can’t wait to see the inside!
Man I love watching your videos. Thanks for the opportunity to see this process.
Good having friends like This 😊
Nice job on installing your siding panels !!! Thank God your neighbor was available to rescue and your buddy!!!😉
yup he definitely saved us lol
