You're one of the few channels I just give my Thumbs up too AND then watch. Great editing as always!
Use cornmeal instead of olive oil as a release for the crust 😢
Just gave you a thumb up before I finished reading your sentence. Karma :D
Same
What I love best about these videos is that they are longer. I watch them until I fall asleep. That’s a good thing as it is my night time, me time.
I do the same thing. Watching one (or a few) of Timmy's videos has become a bedtime ritual. Stay safe out there Timmy! 🙂
me too!
Depends on the dough but I like to cook the dough for a few minutes before I put the toppings on. Less sog and more crispy. But some doughs don’t necessarily need that extra step.
Your pizza looks great especially in those surroundings.
Sticky soda fix hack...put rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle use a fan spray not stream.. Turn it upside down spray the keyboard. The alcohol flushes then evaporates works with remotes too.
Thank you for this. Rubbing alcohol works for a lot of great things. This is one I never knew though!
Only crazy thing I saw was opening a can anywhere NEAR a computer.
Long time ago, I was at a friends house and he had a empty can on top of the amp and he started blasting music and the base was making the can bounce, and it tipped over and it popped and never worked again, but then I tipped over a whole cup of Kool-Aid on mine still works. 😂
Let alone the fizzy purple stuff.😂
yup badddd idea
10:43 😮🎉🪩
Hi from Malaysia, Tim! Your vanlife adventures are the best so far that I have watched on CZcams. I graduated from a Nova Scotian university 32 years ago, and your life in Alaska/Yukon reminisced about my experiences living in cold weather in Wolfville, NS. Keep making good videos, Tim! I love your wooden house on the road, too! ❤
Since watching more of your videos, I’ve decided to insolate my van and travel to Scotland in the autumn, I live in England, West Midlands. Scotland is our Alaska. Lol
Man I just found your channel and i got to say I love it! I live in west texas away from folks but my heart is in these videos snow storms and living like you do.Thank you for your content!
Thanks Kevin!
Hey Timmy dice up an onion and some green bell peppers that is excellent son try it
Am I just paranoid? I'm not even the one in the kayak and I'm worried for your safety!! You're by yourself bro!!!😮
yup gotta be on it for sure
The running water in Alaska looks so good. Clear with no pollution. Like that’s the clean water we should be drinking.
If it's anything like the clear mountain water of Alberta you'd be best to boil it first. Giardia is endemic.
Can’t drink any river water 🤮😵
I'm sure I'm not the only old man envious of your lifestyle. Only my second video of your channel but you do a fantastic job. I would like to think living in Alaska you wouldn't have to lock every thing up but people must be the same everywhere unfortunately. Well wishes from Steeler Nation in Pa.
If you use a small piece of kindling to hold your small logs and other kindling as you chop, you'll grealyt reduce your chance of injury. It could just save your life. Great content!
I pre bake my crust a little before adding toppings.
Ever consider splitting all your wood before putting in the box Timmy? Might be able to fit more who knows but I understand if you enjoy the ritual! Cheers for taking us along as always:)
Prosciutto on pizza can never go wrong
Sir you have a beauitful ford truck love it I am a ford man my self I’ve always had a ford to drive in my life from a young age till now and I’m 66years old old again love going with you on your road trips seeing places I probly won’t get to see in my life time great channel
a way to step up your pizza game is to buy chunk mozz and shred it yourself. prepackaged has a coating of potato starch and powdered cellulose. This keeps the strands from clumping together in the bag, but it also keeps them from melting together nicely during cooking. another personal preference is to not completely cook the sausage and let the oven finish it off.
Was going to comment on not using the stuff in the bag as well, due to the starch. Glad I searched the comments first!
thanks good to know!
@@TruckHouseLife you will love the new quality. love your vids. btw, how is the PC?
Also, pre-shredded cheese is a lot more expensive per pound than the regular kind.
There is something soothing about your video's. Great way to relax and remember that there are simple things in life that are offer enjoyment. I also have to say .. great editing. I'm sure it takes some work putting these clips together. I can't speak for others, but I certainly enjoy them. BTW ... that pizza looked awesome.
agreed...very relaxing!
Definitely thumbs up on your camping. I do recommend using another stick to balance (or hold) when splitting the wood. This would totally eliminate using your hand to hold the wood and accidentally slicing your finger(s) when splitting wood for your stove. Try it, it’s safer!
As my grandfather told me years ago. Any recipe is a good one as long as you like it. I love your videos you’re doing great!
AAUUGGHHH! Those rocks! I admire your adventurous nature. That’s hard work. I don’t think I’d leave the cozy cabin.
Whitewater kayaking!! My favorite
If you'd to try a crisp crust, try baking the dough 1st no toppings for 5 to 6 minutes, then build your pizza and bake normal. Worth it!
This video was so outstanding for us armchair sport enthusiasts. Thnx Tim!
Never mind about losing your livelihood, I was more concerned about losing your fingers chopping that wood at the beginning! 😂
lol
I use the same technique of yanking-my-hand-away-at-the-last-split-second as well.
Never had a problem.
Works well when removing an avocado pit, as well.
@@johnlafleur9251 Until it doesn't. A small piece of kindling is the best tool for holding another piece/target. It's far safer and very effective. The bushcraft guys in Europe use this technique, and they are next lvel. Checkers vs Chess.
I just wonder why you go so far away from the rig to chop wood?
Living in small spaces adds excitement to life 😂
fact!
I was bobbing and weaving on the rapids. My hubs said I looked like my father-in-law watching boxing.😅 Thanks!
hahah!
I went to Alaska in the winter and my first impression off the plane was I could feel my nose hairs freeze when I took my first breath. -45 degrees
I never see somebody do stuff like this really respect you for that you you are very intelligent and convenient person very nice videos. God bless you and be careful. Don’t trust nobody
Hi Tim, you have to be careful around your electronics and the stove, glad it wasn't worse,OMG I was scared for you kayaking around all those rocks, thanks for sharing stay safe
You know I love the cooking! 🙂 Thanks1
That was all fun! Alaska never disappoints. You don't appear to need any suggestions when it comes to pizza.
A pizza suggestion: Maybe try a pizza stone in your oven. It's good to cook on for a lot of things- (i.e. cookies) if you like a crisper crust or cookie. You can preheat or build it right on the "stone" and it works really great! I got one from Pampered Chef and a few of their other stones. They might be good for your rig because you don't have to wash them all the time. you just wipe it off and the oils over time develop a nonstick surface, and work great! You don't have to get it from there, but you can see the examples they have to guide you elsewhere too.
I just spotted a company after I saw your video that makes steel pizza “stones” . Naturally, I can’t remember the name of the company right now, but the steel may be more durable in your travels too!
Google- ooni pizza steel .
I'd never heard of those One-Wheel things before watching your videos. They're AWESOME!!!
I'm British and we hardly ever say "awesome" so they MUST be good!
I use pesto for my pizza sauce and it never disappoints. Take care and be safe.
man i love this channel. so much variety. from delicious catch and cooking vids to kayaking, natural scenery, one wheeling, camping, building channel all in one! best channel ever. that was super awesome with the drink. glad you caught that on camera. not everything goes smooth. always stuff that tests our patience. its so refreshing to watch people living the way its supposed to be. work combined with lots of fun, the key to a long healthy life.
thanks dude!
That river kayak run should have been called Death Wish. Cool video.
That was so epic bro kayaking down that river during the snow melt..!! Sorry about your Pc.. Hope it's ok.. The pizza looked awesome and probably tasted that way as well. I make a wicked moose stew with dumplings in a large roast pan on my woodstove during the winter months. I have the whole family over.. It's so good and healthy.. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure Tim.. You always have me sitting on the edge of my couch.. Cheers bro
Hi Matt, Your Alaskan adventures are great I have been a subscriber for years and enjoy every moment. Thank you
Beautiful scenery!! Love the kayaking!!
Put the sausage on top of the pizza raw and it will cook when baking. Saves time and gives a better product. A lot of pizza places do this and since starting it myself I don’t do it any other way. It also save you from cleaning a pan. But it can add extra grease
Your pizza looked yummy… never tasted caribou
I was holding my breath till you got stopped… man what a ride… couldn’t breath couldn’t move .. man you had me with you… so glad you made it safely… my heart was sure racing…
such a great video thank you for sharing
Thank you! Enjoy watching your adventures makes me remember when i did it! 30 years ago! Your the MAN!!! Keep it up and god bless! Capt Wilkus
Hey Timmy, great to see your channel grow. You really poured your heart and soul into your channel. It’s been great following you and seeing it really take off. Been watching some of your build at home too.
He could easily start a second channel for all his home building content, such a chill, good natured dude! And he doesn't cheap out on anything lol
This rv looks awesome. I love the patio. It has everything.
Thank you for your sharing your daily adventures with all of us
of course!
The kayaking trip was awesome...the water was so gorgeous!
thanks!
Pizza tip. Use extra virgin olive oil on the kitchen roll to smear on whatever surface you're putting the dough on to give it a crunch, and extra virgin olive oil to drizzle on it after cooking... :)
Dug the sound design on this one Timmy. Mellow music that adds to the images without distracting and then nice use of live audio. Often I feel that’s all I need. Storytelling. And so cool to see all of that snow - money in the bank. Will be a great season of paddling if your not too busy building the Girdwood Castle.
Wow, that was wild ride😮.
Good stuff. Congrats
AWESOME! Another collab with Alaska Cabin Adventures!
Amazing scenery. I miss white water rafting. I use to camp in the mountains in north Carolina and white water raft with my cousins when I was younger. This brought back wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing your adventures. 👍😎
Thanks!
Thanks for your content..I love this channel..greetings from Germany
I thought i was the only person who did stuff like that? Lol.. i appreciate your good attitude!
Love the music !
If you get a padlock with a very long hasp(the U shaped part) you can put it around the inside of your paddle blade and lock up the paddle too.
I don’t know what you run for power steering fluid but Ams oil is what I’ve found those trucks thrive on idk what it is about those old ford power steering pumps but they’re either shot or whining hopefully it’ll save a pump for ya!! Safe Travels
YUM! 🍕🍕🍕🍕 I'd drizzle some olive oil on before the tomato sauce. And I'd pout without veggies. LOL. Awesome video! 🌊👍😎🇨🇦💦🌊
Hey Timmy, best advice you’ll ever get BACATRACIN for burns!! I burnt my hand and was needing skin graft. Bacatracin saved my hand. No scars, no sign of it ever being burned. It is the best stuff antibiotic ointment!! Keep it with you for all scrapes and burns.
Awesome fun.
I enjoyed your videos of you kayaking, that river was amazing. I like kayaking but I don't think I could take on the rivers you do, but it is fun to watch you do it. Thanks for sharing.
I was in Talkeetna some years ago. My Father, Brother and I flew from there
up to see Mt. McKinley. Spectacular View. Alaska is such an awesome
Place. Be Safe in your travels, Timmy.
MWP Cosby Tn.
That is why you never ever open any liquids near your computer/laptop.
lesson learned lol!
You truly have all the fun toys !!
Love your one wheel and the kayak what fun !!!
every time!
I totally love your set up and how you travel awesome 👌 👏 👍
This is the BEST Channel! #truckhouselife. That river ride was absolutely thrilling! 😮❤️
awww shucks thanks haha
Fantastic vlog ❤❤👌👌
Moose's tooth pizza is one of my best memories from Anchorage, Ak. I think we ate there twice on our trip. What an awesome pizza spot. I also had my first reindeer sausage "hot dog" in Talkeetna, Ak. That was as close as we got to Denali. Still an awesome view of it even from there. And fun tidbit, it was colder in ky than it was in Anchorage in January. 27 there and 19 at home. I was shocked. I would go back, dead of winter, in a heartbeat. Also something we learned. We were not allowed to rent a vehicle in Anchorage and drive that rental to fairbanks. They said, if we wanted to visit fairbanks, we needed to fly into there and rent a car there and drive it down to Anchorage because Anchorage rentals don't come with block warmers. Good times for sure! I love watching your videos
Haha I was born and raised up there. Left when I was 46. People ask how you can sleep when its light out. Um, go to bed, close your eyes and sleep. I can fall asleep at any hour.
You do a lot of cool things!
Who wee, you got some big ones doing this alone.. love this thanks
Love your channel...the more I watch 👍
Good Morning- We use corn meal for pizza crust to help keep from sticking to pan.
That was the creepiest thing about my time in Alaska. Those crazy summer days and the long winter nights.
lol
Elevation change most likely is why the drink sprayed all over.
Always another new thing for this "Desert Rat" to learn every time I watch your videos. But, I am always craving to be back in Alaska, the 2 1/2 weeks I visited there never got to even touch all the things I had always dreamed of doing. I can't wait to see the finished cabin builds. As always, thank you for sharing your adventures, every day life, and your friends with us. Love from this old Desert Rat to a bunch of awesome Alaskans!
what desert? We were probably neighbors!
@@dianasterling9634 Yuma County, Arizona
Oh WoW Tim, can I just say YUMMY, IT LOOKS SO GOOD!!
New subscriber here. I love how functional & warmth home feel this truck cabin appears to have. Your setup seems so well thought out & I enjoy the style/choices you've made. Also, really like your custom trailer made from orginal truck bed. Looks great loaded with snow machine headed down the road. Thanks for sharing
I'm running a Zen3 on the small creeks, it kicks ass! Love that creek you got, lots of maneuvering around objects, which I really enjoy, have lots of creeks here in Oregon like that. thanks for the share and be safe. Peace
nice!
Love the content 👍
Hey Dudes both you knockout working freezing snow put up Is metal siding with great With wonderful sense of humor.
You illustrated the reason why I generally use my laptop closed making it serve as a desktop with the use of a monitor, a wireless keyboard. and a wireless mouse. I've spilled coffee on my keyboard, but I have NEVER endangered the functioning of my laptop. Works for me. I hope your computer survived!!
Love the Bridge City Sinners shirt!
Timmmaha! You need to try jalapeno pancakes with maple syrup you won't be sorry. Chop up a few, pickled are great toss'em in the batter. 😋
Yay more kayaking! Looks like fun, I’ve got a kayak but it’s an inflatable one lol.
12:55 AM Love the authentic life you portray Timmy! Some of us Canadian's prefer to put the toppings on the sauce and then the cheese - 😋 it stays warmer & moist!
A warm fire in seconds, love it.
Hey Tim, love the content 👍
Entertaining vlog.
Pizza looked good! We do them with venison sausage and hen of the woods mushrooms when we find some. One of my favorite meals! 👍
Well the computer is broke in just like THAT!! Now for the pizza...the beautiful thing about pizza is you can't do it wrong...so many different kinds you can make. The only limitation is your imagination.
Ive never seen a pizza dough thrown quite like that
OMG Matt Foley sign Ha ha ha ha !!! Good one
Great truck
In July of this year it was over 110 degrees during the day. 98 at night. 50 during the day!!?? I wish... Great video!
