- The truck house has been in the shop for months for repairs and I'm getting desparate. The only logical choice is make my 1990 Toyota Corolla into a truck...

Best Quotes from video.
Max "It will rip your car in half before these welds break."
Timmy - "I'm not going to say its not sketchy. I've done sketchier things before."
Timmy - I'm just going to repel off the roof and drill a hole in the house."
Love It.
Good ones.
Shame on you--stealing my same quotes before I could post 'em!
The toyota corolla is an incredible machine that will never die. All generations are indestructible and reliable.
40 foot ladder doesn’t feel safe, so let’s rappel off the roof! You are a legend sir!
From my hottub, I have learned to wrap all the piping and stuff you might want to get to later in plastic before hitting it with spray foam. The foam will stick to the plastic and not the pipes/tubing/heat tape.
Thanks for the content.
“Ladder doesn’t feel safe so I’m just gonna rappel off the roof” 😂
Timmy. I'm sure you are an endless source of humor and inquisitive to your neighbors. I'm sure their like, hmmm, wonder what Timmy is up to today? Lol. So brave r u up on that ladder. I'm glad you had someone there when you went up there 😊
I grew up doing fencing, roofing, and light construction with my dad. He would say, "Impossible job? Get the Sawzall. ANYTHING'S possible!!" 😂😂😂
Dude, $600 for your Toyota in those conditions and you’ve only lost an alternator is awesome. The E-bike is sweet! My friends keep telling me to buy some for the wife and myself, but I still dig my beach cruiser down at Venice. Knock out your truck and house and take some time and get some rest. Drinking a tasty Guinness in your honor.
nice haha! enjoy!
Guinness tastes like mud!
Your middle name is Improvise, Adapt and Overcome. Or at least it should be. Cheers! Paint the bathroom exhaust over the door the same color as the trim to help it blend in.
You need one of those “No Step” decals on a plane for that bumper. 😂
Timmy, I LOVE that bumper sticker- "where are we going & why am I in this handbasket". 🤣🤣🤣 That's classic! My mother in law used to say that a lot so you gave me a good laugh! OMG, then the comments back & forth between you & your friend when you are hanging off the side of your house! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Thanks Timmy, stay safe my friend. 💙😀
Your welcome just watched your new video, watch them every night..❤be safe, my friend. God bless
Just a heads up if you care, neither bathroom exhaust exit is to code. You need at least 3 feet of separation between that exhaust outlet and any operable openings in the house.
Timmy's way.
If you have common sense and critical thinking skills you can do anything. Most people never try so props to you on building your own home!
i love your channel. Love your ingenuity and out of the box thinking. continue what you do!
I live in Cali and the cost of everything is nuts, like it is up there ..
I've been trailering crazy loads with a Subaru while my big pickup sits at home. It's barely safe, but the Subaru gets 3 times the mileage.
It's getting more like Russia every day here in Commiefornia...
It's because of the terrible governor you have there
My fav part of the vids are the cooking and eating lol
Timmy “sketchy” Johnson journals. 😂
It's amazing watching you and you pals do this
Love the deck on the roof
Brilliant
Sketchy? Nah, we call it jury rigged around here lol
Awesome video as always Timmy. Your cabin building series is so awesome can’t wait to see when it’s finished before you head out on your epic road trip.
Sketchy just barely describes that hitch. Glad it worked😂
HE TIM..place looks amazing, as an electrician from Canada that has installed those potlights, I have one recommendation. I never screw the boxes where the wires come into the box, as the fail from time to time, I just push the in the 4" opening for the light and then install the light, much easier if it needs replacing in the future. Then you won't need to mess around with the tongue and groove ceiling at replacement time...Just a suggestion...Cheers Tim...😄😄
Toyotas are the best. I and my family love them. We currently have RAV4s, Corollas, Camry, Highlander. Reliable, sturdy and long lasting tough vehicles for all seasons of our Atlantic Canada weather!
I love my Toyota Rav4. Put 30,000 miles on it, and heading to Yellowstone next month for a solo trip to put a couple more on her. Reliable Beauty & BEAST!
Does anybody else think it’s kind of crazy how we follow these CZcamsrs?some of them are specialty channels some of them are just a day in the life vlog. they still entertain us. so shout out to Timmy I’d probably watch a video of him fixing his car and putting new tires on on a trailer and enjoy it.. oh wait I did watch that and enjoy it❤
Absolutely! This gal is learning lots from Timmy's videos!
The right side trailer wheel is missing the valve lol. Looks like they tire is reversed lol
‘Good to go’ - it is the attention to detail that I admire!
Thanks for the update on the house build …😊
If you think that ladder is bad you should try a 40 foot wood ladder without a harness and rope
1990 Corolla was the first car I had. Bought it in '98 with 97,000 miles on it. Finally gave in and changed cars in 2014 when it had 362,000 miles on it. Engine was still running perfectly but body was rusting through in places so it wasn't a good idea to keep her going. It was the mother of all cars, and being a cheap **s all those years allowed me to buy a brand new Corolla when I retired that one. The new one isn't a patch on the old. If it lasts 200k I'll be surprised.
Timmy I have a 2011 toyota corolla with 403,000 miles and still run great. Can't go wrong with a yota
I love carrying a $4800 e-bike as an alternative for the $600 Corolla.
Timmy you're an animal! I can't believe how fast you've built that house.
Quick connect fittings for all your water lines behind your walls? Gonna regret that
Good morning from Sherwood Park Alberta, I will be sewing a quilt and listening to you ,, love your videos, i',m a senior citizen a young one lol,,,, I have a fat tire trike electric, I love it, my range is 35 miles, but 70 with pedal assist or more
Since Day One, I've LOVED this house build.
I love it Timmy 🙌. Back in the day I had 1987 a Toyota MR2. I used to tow my three-man Kawasaki jet ski with it, no problem😂❤. Keep on keeping on my brother❤
nice!
I used to toss my stand up jet ski in the hatch of my ford probe. Lol young and dumb
Bro mad max is my favorite movie series of all time!
right?!
Takes alot of balls to be that high on a ladder and reach over your head and drill a hole in the side of the house like you did!! Another good video definitely enjoyed….
Hey Tim,! I used to own a 1981 Toyota Corolla station wagon. Bought it for $1000 in 1991 With only 120.000 km was on it . Amazing Amazing car 🚗 it was
Watched the entire video with the anticipation that you were going to turn it into a pickup truck instead of just welding a tow hitch onto it.😅
Timmy, I also bought a mid drive eBike, with 750 watts, until I jail broke it to its full potential which is 1000 watts. I added another battery and paralleled it to the main battery at 48 volts. It also has both front and rear suspension.
me watching the valve stem end up on the inside of the trailer on the second wheel install 😵💫
‘Good to go’ - it is the attention to detail that I admire!
I swear Timmy I wish you were near me, my rear sub frame snapped and I don’t have any one to help me, they want over $1200 to fix. It really sucks. Up there people help one another. Great respect for that lifestyle
Thumbs-up.. toyota for the win 🤙🤙
I was waiting for you to say "They are only flat at the bottom " 😂
Cool Car....Love it.....I lived in Fairbanks back in 1972-73....
Do you ever think about the other people involved if you have an accident with your shitmobiles? No tail lights and no plate on that trailer.heh heh heh.
YO YO YO TIM IM HERE FOR THE PREMIERE🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Here for the ‘miere’
I bought a 96 corolla in 2010 cost $1,200 had it for 5 years only put new brakes in. Not even a new battery
Your house is going to br beautiful as well as practical. Enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing.
Soooooo good Timmy! That was a gnarly, busy, and fun video. Thanks for letting us hangout!
Timmy, Your House looks amazing! I can relate to all the hard work it takes to do almost everything by Yourself. I built my own house in the Mountains by myself and it took me 8 years to complete it working part time. Your woodwork is outstanding. Cant wait to see Your counter tops! Hang in there my friend. No pun intended.👍
LMAO, Timmy we know your going to overload it😂. When he said that I couldn’t stop laughing. After watching your videos for years he’s absolutely right. Timmy is definitely going to overload it! But I guess that’s all part of the adventure. Love ya Timmy stay savage my friend. True inspiration 🙏🏻👊🏻💪🏻🤙🏻💯🌲🇺🇸⛰️
6:39 So it's around half the year before snow melts in Alaska.
The truck sounds like it has some ground issues. I have found over time that a ground may look clean and good but it just takes a little bit of corrosion to cause problems. Great work on the house.
The bike shops I talked to 5 years ago when I got my RadRover hub motor bike all said that the mid drive had trouble because you are putting 1 hp through a chain which is engineered for about 1/10 hp. If your chain breaks, you're stuck. If my chain breaks, which is mich less likely, the hub motor will keep me moving.
Picking up the spare for the trailer was very smart!!
im sure most of us would definitely approve of this level of sketch :D
Your house is absolutely beautiful can’t wait till see Sheetrock or whatever you are using for walls. Great job😊
Much respect for the ladder work! I’ve used various battery/pneumatic/cord operated tools on extension ladders and it’s always sketch lol
I can't wait to see the finished product of the house
Always make things work. Love it❤❤❤
Im amazed how much sidewalks there are (and that they are cleared of snow).
Timmy, I'm new to your channel and I just wanted to say hi from Jacksonville Florida.
For $600.00 strong little car needs a windshield, but runs awesome. The E-bike is really cool and awesome job on the house, still a ways to go.
Great episode! Gotta love a cheap car that serves you well… especially when you really push it to the limit and it just freakin’ keeps going! Mines a Honda…
That house build is amazing, too. It is a really ambitious, but really cool build. I hope your plan to rent out the cabin and the Air B&B room work out great and pay for it for you. It’s been fun seeing you making real, great progress.
You maybe should try to be just a teeny bit safer as you do all that crazy ladder stuff though!
Thanks for the content, Tim. I appreciate your efforts to share your life with us, and I know others do too.
Wow, Timmy- it’s always an adventure, no matter what you’re doing! Very cool how you “fixed” the car bumper and I laughed when I read your bumper stickers 😂 And the alpine vent installation was epic! 🎉 You and Dustin are a pair but I’m glad he didn’t inherit your YT channel after all. 😊 Hope the truck gets straightened out soon! Be safe! ❤️
Sharkbit fittings are good for exposed fittings or temporary fittings , but not for inside a wall. It is cheaper to just use pex crimp fittings.
Thanks great job Timmy life when it swings it swings hard sometimes but we always can make it through it buddy have a great and blessed weekend ❤🙏👍
Bumper would have been fine to mount the tow hitch to imho 😁
🤣 Note to self spend more than $7.00 on vent next time. Tim you make me laugh darn near every video. Chuckle 🤭
I had a powerstroke at my shop with a similar issue replace cam sensor and pigtail get them from ford the cam sensor it's a 12v circuit that when its shorting screws computer up
Not a big deal the vent for your bathroom fan being white but maybe painting it the brown Color your trim is outside would hide it better …. You do amazing work!!!🇺🇸🤙🔥
They make em in brown/ bronze. Siding supplier would have more of a selection than the only Home Depot hes getting stuff from
Toyota for the win . The best vehicle on the market ! Those alum strips will help distribute the heat , thats what I thought they were for & i have zero exsperience with in floor heat . Your castle is coming along great , i mean timmys fun time mansion . Seriously!!!!
Awesome video Dude! Keep an eye on those vents. Here in Indiana the birds love those for nesting. They will break of the plastic flappers to get in. Unless yours are bird proof. Great tow hitch, and nice score on the FREE trailer.
Thanks for the tip!
Locksmith-looks like your hardware is Lowe’s defiant brand deadbolt and knobs.if so I’d definitely think about upgrading them to standard Schlage. Defiant is a very cheaply made lock and has zero security, and even the metal is cheap doesn’t stop physical attack. Can just about rip the deadbolts off with a pair of pliers.
Looking good.👍
That Toyota will keep going n going- with maintenance, our first vehicle was a gold Toyota hatchback 1984 back in 95…thank u for sharing the phineaszane adventures. Done subbed.
Cant wait to see the house when its all done, going to be amazing.
I’m surprised that you didn’t replace your alternator yourself? You seem more than capable. 😢
They definitely are attentive to there bumpers..took me 8hrs to change the one on my tundra 😮
I think that ice will form on the trim board under the vent door preventing the vent door to open.
I love how you cut the bumper off the car! Just take a saw and cut it the hell out of the way! I like your style!
So I had a similar electrical issue on the 2000 7.3 I had. Ended up being a bad body ground. They can cause a nightmare. I replaced a bunch of sensors too until I just stumbled onto the bad ground.
Put the snowboard on the car for it to be safer for others behind ya.
Fun to watch brother! In Alaska do you not have code enforcement and inspection to bust your balls about doing your own electrical work?
Man's got em a fart fan @ the front door!!! Lol😊😅😂
Just saw you on C avenue ! 👏🏼 impossible to miss the tiny house! Good luck with your errands!
Bro the house is super damn awesome you have all the rights to be super proud about it bro
The pex pipe needs to be secure. If left loose and floppy it will slap against framing or wall finish anytime a fixture is opened or closed quickly. Especially bad with anything with a solenoid valve like a dishwasher or icemaker.
CANT WAIT UNTIL THE INTERIOR OF THE HOUSE!!!!
Bro. It may pull for a while but it is going to break. Hopefully not while your on the highway for everyone’s sake
I’m a welder by trade and I’m so stoked about this 😂😂😂
Keep cranking, Timmy. Light at the end of the tunnel. Finishing work is so tedious.
Can't wait to see it finished..
timmy! a few buddies of mine took a motorcycle trip up the dalton and they saw The SHoot Dangs in mcarthy! small world! we were out camping in the colorado rockies and he mentioned seeing your band, i was like! i know that name!
Companies should be giving timmy big fat sponsorship offers,i wouldn't mind he plugged a thing or two if it helped him out financially!
Heyy Tim looking good, great deal for the Toyota seems to be good cars, I had mine for years with no problems, hope you get your truck back soon stay safe
This video was so ghetto 😆 and it was freakin awesome! Timmy is so intuitive 😆
