I may have A LOT of experience in Trials of Osiris, but that doesn't mean that things always go smoothly. This Copycat Card is the perfect example of that. From sweaty teams to goofy weapons and shotguns not working for me... this was a card that almost made me give up. Enjoy!

8:40 ADS or not shotguns are so inconsistent now that I always follow up with a melee, even if I'm putting the barrel down their throat. Especially with the nerfs to sliding and jumping there is so much RNG that even if I'm 99% sure I'll 1 shot them I'll still melee just in case.
The only super reliable one shot kill shotguns are the aggressive frames. U build into range and handling and find a good balance. I find barrel shroud on aggressives to be nice with accurize rounds and range really nice on found verdict. Raghnild is also a great choice for primary.
thats the game being inconsistent. add up the numbers it equals way more damage than that dudes healthbar should have. the game is straight up broken and is correlating damage properly. its been doing it for like a year now.
i used to have a clip of me doing 215 damage to a titan with my sub and he still had a whole bar left, this was well before abundant overshields or lorely, and way after one eyed mask. he didnt recieve any form of healing

Also at the time he was fighting on steps so i wouldn't be surprised if the game considered him in air at the moment he shot

Couldn't agree more about Ace! I uses it all the time a few seasons back. Started using Eyasluna, then Austringer again this season. Decided to try that cheesy Radiant Ace 2-Tap Build & my god! Ace felt horrible! The Stability is 30-odd lower than Eyasluna, Austringer & certain Fatebringer Rolls so if you're not used to the kick? Ugh it feels bad.

I don't know how anyone can get angry about you using Meta weapons in general. You are helping people to go flawless. What is the problem with using good weapons to guarantee a win for your carry
also radiant or charged with light makes ace glow with the more affect :)
Hey Jake, Chaperone is lightweight so you can sprint faster with it and get into the action faster. Watching you jog out there with the hand cannon hurt.

man the latest shotgun nerfs made lightweights feel so inconsistent, I used to be very happy with my xenoclast IV with 81 handling with slideshot and vorpal, it could kill at 8 meters but now it feels like a miracle when I break someones shield at 6 meters, same goes for riiswalker
Lightweight maybe ohm at 8meters 1 in 100 times lol, especially an 80 sub 90 range lightweight. Ur capping, but I do agree lightweights feel like dog. I pretty much only use shotties for cleanup now
@@gunganeseegorgian8042 lightweights could ohm at 8 meters with slideshot but it was just kinda situational cuz you'd have to shoot right as soon as your slide ends so you dont have the extra pellet spread while sliding but still had the bonus range from slideshot
@@hystike5710 lol, like i said, maybe u could ohk 1 in literally 100-200 times at 8ms, but never consistently. Regardless of having 100 range. A god roll fouind verdict, before the nerf could ohk at 7m about 50% of the time. Watch Gjerda's shotgun video
Jake, all of the games I play I seem to get surrounded by enemies a lot I try to position myself with my team but I find that they die a lot quicker than me and I’m left in 1v4s on the A flag? Any suggestions on how to play better as a solo?

Look for the easiest fight to win to get a way out of a pinch, lets say 3 pushing behind you and a guy is waiting in front, push the guy in front and keep moving away from the 3 stack. One of a million examples but a good one
Movement and positioning, I try to follow at least one of my teammates In solo modes, so either we can get a team shot or if they picked I can put pressure and go fro the rez always want to keep the advantage of numbers if possible

if u got full choke on a shotty ads makes the spread a lot tighter then normal, i think its the same for all barrels but i know full choke does it best. so i say always ads, and melee after you shoot even if hes breathing on your forehead.

Ace of spades recoil is a bit funky, you swap to it then you suck until you get used to it, but then you swap off of it and literally can't use any other weapon because it doesn't have ace recoil.

On 17:20 when you thoguht you had mori, The ace of spades glows that way whenever you have any kind of buff. Not sure if it is intentional or not.

this video is a big relief. Your exp with this shotgun is exactly what I experience. Typically we see Streamers just mat every person at every range with guns as you so eloquently said "touching nipples with the guy"

i hear ya i solo weekly get the crap kicked out of myself for the 50 round wins have not been flawless in seasons
the shotgun experience is so frustrating that I just stopped using them altogether, unless I'm wanting to use the lightweight bonus on CQC12 or WSTR and even then, an SMG would probably be a better fit.
I think i remember watching somewhere that wastelander m5 had no hipfire accuracy penalties, maybe try that?
Tip for anyone that doesnt know by the way if you run into a titan bubble and activate blade barrage inside the bubble it kills the titan

Dudes.. for some reason precision spread shotguns are feeling better than the rest this season. Still inconsistent.. but less so than agressives and lightweights. Imo atleast.
Duality, chaperone, and crafted ranghild are the only shotguns worth using rn imo.

Maybe that's what my mindset should be. I have never WON in Trials, so I avoid it. But I like the cool toys.

Shotguns got a big nerf this season so ADS is definitely more important now
so snapshot will be more really really useful on shotguns
Yes and no. It feels good but at the same time opening shot is good. Heck i use vorpal on my found verdict with slide shot. Just get a good barrel like barrel shroud or full choke and u be good. Build into handling a bit more they ready faster and snappier.

Jake you're not the issue, the issue is when 80 percent of destiny ques up for trials or crucible in general, just to fight witherhoard, last word, jotunn, and le monarch on repeat. So when everyone already pissed off and then decides to watch a relaxing CZcams video just to see you using last word as well the frustration is targeted toward you

almost feel like you need over 90 range in order to not ADS shotguns for one shots these days.
The range nerf doesn’t bother me that much, it’s mainly the fact that u have to be on the ground. Shotty fights used to, at the very least require some kind of skill with sliding and jumping, now ur pretty much just running at each other and rolling dice lol
if you are gonna hipfire with shotguns try aim for the head so you atleast get some precision damage

Wastelander is just better than riiswalker in nearly every stat and can roll with perks that grants stats and utility rather than just pure stat boost perk like iron reach
They over-nerfed shotguns. They should have 8-9m of consistant range not 5.

Fractethyst > Riiswalker, I know they're different architypes but even a 5/5 Riiswalker feels too inconsistant compared to my Fractethyst

I have tons of different 5/5 shotguns and none of them kill past 5 meters. It's sad, 90% of the hits are hit markers. I just stick to fusions, you never hitmarker.
Post nerf, a decent rolled non time lost found verdict OHKs very consistently at 6 meters. Of course, thats assuming you’re not sliding, falling, “falling” off a pebble on the ground of the map, or getting side flinched lol

Jake ranting about people complaining about him complaining is weird to me. Maybe it's because I only watch on CZcams but he is one of the least complainie destiny CZcamsrs IMO. Wallah is also up there and gold has gotten very very good about being positive as well. So this little rant is odd to me.
I'm going to rant for a minute. There are 2 types of complaining. 1 type where it's just venting not directed at anyone. Then there's the type where it's directed at other players. The directed at other players is what I get upset about. But at the same time, at least for CZcams, no one wants to hear it. We are watching because we are bored and either can't play or burnt out. We don't want to sit down to relax and watch CZcams only to hear someone complaining. Sort of the same with twitch but on twitch I expect more complaints because it's unedited.

there is something that has been going wrong with the game. maybe you can actually tell dmg since he only listens to you guys.
jake do the math on that shotgun kill at around 8:40. that is way close to 200 damage and they guy has nearly 100 health left.
you did like 175 damage and the bar doesnt show that what so ever. its been happening with primaries getting no regs for fucking days. atleast bring up how shit the game has been feeling to dmg. aim assist and everything has been all fucked to the max. i have a clip on console of a guy being in 2 places at once. shooting me outside on burnout while my friend sniped him in library, but he was actually damaging me. theres hardly any skill anymore. its all luck.
The game, particularly crucible, is a mess lately. I choose to stick with PvE for the sake of my mental health

@@holding8562 i would, if PvE wasnt extremely boring after 10 clears, and debatably runs probably worse.
you know how annoying it is to roast down a beefy enemy and they suddenly just phase back to full health? ive had non champions do it. not to mention ads teleporting around and tether murdering frame rates.
the game is a serious mess right now for sure. like i dont think im going to play anymore till they get off their arses. i also despise how the community managers cant just simply say "hey were getting reports of crucible being unstable, enter at your own risk" so i knew when the game was running on RNG instead of skill.

I still has PTSD about farming Fortissimo on the x2 Vanguard week and had none good roll after 4th or 5th resets.
