Great upload. You and your great family have seen more of the UK than I have in my 61 years of being born & living here. Love your enthusiasm!
Admirable how positive you are despite the awful English weather. I hope you had a great time. Cornwall is lovely. In the summer it is much much nicer.
I was going to say the same...I thought they'd gone back to the US to escape!
When you go back to Cornwall you must visit the Minack theatre, the scenery is amazing. Another place is the Lizard lighthouse and and Kynance cove.
beautiful family........................and those babies are beyond gorgeous 😊 Always great to see families doing stuff together
What wonderful parents you are. Your children won the lottery!
What I love about you, Mac (and I'm a long time subscriber) is your quest to enrich the lives of your children. It's such fun to follow you and your wonderful family enjoying all that the UK has to offer. I've lived here all my life and I swear you've covered almost as much as I've visited!
Now we know for sure you love England. You set off in a howling gale to brave those Antantic gales in Cornwall in mid winter! That's impressive! You must all go back in summer and have fun in the beach AND maybe visit one or two the famed Cornish gardens,at least the Lost Gardens at Heligan. Until 2022 id never been to Cornwall but since then I have. My late brother and his wife liked going to St Ives but they said, and it's true,it's EXPENSIVE. As a tourist place it's like in the Paris /Venice league. I now love Bude,it's way up on the dramatic North Coast near the Devon border. You and your family could all do the Camel trail. No beasts of burden involved. It's an old railway line, now a cycle and footpath between Wadebridge and Padstow,it's about 9 miles long, dont believe the signposts that say 5 miles or 7 miles, but it's a lovely walk with dramatic scenery. I actually managed it so you all could definitely achieve it. Wouod make a good video! One last recommendation, the bus ride between Bude and Tintagel is fantastic, that stretch is stunning and if you're all on the bus you can all enjoy it and not have to worry about driving! Just be careful not to miss the last bus back + that route is a bit dodgy ie the bus doesn't always turn up! But don't let that deter you. At least I'm sure you have the funds to stay at The Tintagel Castle Hotel on the clifftop if necessary and that's worth doing too.
Wow what a wonderful trip
Amazing light
Cornwall is so unique
Mousehole is my favourite place to stay
And the lizard peninsula is stunning
ANOTHER BANGER BIG MAC!! I’m so happy you brought your incredibly respectful and dignified family here, I hope they stay in the UK because they will make the UK better in the future. All the best mate
The great British weather love it cup of coco and log fire best cure
So lovely to see you all in some of our favourite places in magical Cornwall 🤩
0:14 What a wonderful picture. That's a memory for life!
That first 3mins had me on the edge of my seat ha ha
Beautiful family and fantastic vlog thank you
Lovely to see you all having a good time ,Cornwall is beautiful in the summer 😊
If you want to see some amazing beaches, when you next visit Cornwall try and make it over to the Scilly Isles. White sands and crystal clear waters. You wouldn’t even know you was in England still.
I have said this before but your children are so lucky. So glad you and your family are enjoying your Cornish trip ❤️
It’s Past ies as in last or fast not paste
True, but it's tricky isn't it, because there's 2 pronunciations (at least) of fast and last (Northern and Southern). The right one for Pasties, confusingly, is the Northern pronunciation (the one that rhymes with the first syllable of Bastion)
its absolutely glorious in summer. when everything opens up. as most of cornwall is seasonal opening.
It is so refreshing to have an American (irrespective of ethnicity), to have such a positive outlook and philosophy. Best wishes for the future to you and your beautiful family.
Ooooo Cornish girl here….been waiting for a You tuber to get down South lol! Looking forward to this one. Hope you loved it there 😊
Cornwall, Devon, Pembrokeshire look like the Caribbean on a hot summers day - clear Turquoise water, white sand and palm trees! Interesting that you were there in mid winter but looked like fun!
Glad you're still here Mac
Hey guys! Now spring is coming, check out a boat hire on the Norfolk broads. You would be able to fit all your family in on a no-experience necessary boat, easier than navigating canal locks, not so crowded as in the summer holidays, and many of the pubs have mooring for whilst you are getting your food. I was lucky to be in that area when the water lillies were blooming. Incredible.
I love Cornwall, lots of nice memories, the boys had fun on the freezing cold beach, lol. Hope you do get to go again when the weather changes. Lovely to see you all , such a beautiful family ♥♥♥
We used to take the kids to Cornwall every year and stay in the same harbour side house in Padstow. We went in all seasons, sometimes twice a year.
Fab watch! I live in Bude on the north coast of Cornwall, next time come and say Hello to us here 👋😊
As an ex pat in the US, the food I miss most from back home is a Cornish pasty! Can’t get anything like it over here. What a great family trip!
You are always so optimistic and energetic! If British people had half of your enthusiasm this country would be in a much better place right now.
St I'ves is lovely in the warm summer 🌞
Absolutely LOVE the pasties from Cornish Bakehouse in St. Ives. Some shops do sweet ones too. It IS great in the summer. Really busy though.
A very interesting video of a lovely part of the UK .
But now that you have seen something of the seas and beaches ,please think about the importance of teaching all your children to swim.
There are cases of people not used to the water each year having fatal accidents because they just don`t realise the strength of the current or get out of their depth because the water rises so much more than they thought possible .
It`s a fun thing that children enjoy and one day it could save a life.
Cornwall in winter, you are brave . Summer on the other hand it is a paradise.
You guys are amazing! To do what you do with all those kids 😮...love your music too ❤ Cornwall is beautiful summer or winter.
Blaire has become a real expert UK driver! Those rock lined narrow Cornish tracks are tricky, and would cause palpitations in a newbie American driver on them, and quite a few British ones! Thanks for sharing another great adventure!
Your best video yet❤ I couldn’t take my eyes off it
Hiya Mac Cornwall Takes some Beating in Summer, Especially if its an hot one .
What a fantastic trip so interesting and exciting. My family and I want you to visit in the summer months as we have never been. The weather was awful it must have been so cold . Love you and your family spirit of adventure. Love your content totally 🔥😍😍❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Thank you so much 🙂
This is where my husband and I have spent many happy times ,a few times in a year in Cornwall. You brought soo many happy memories of those times.Blessings to you all.xxxxxxxx
ooh...you are taking a chance visiting Cornwall at this time of year 😬 (speaking as someone who does know and love the county by the way...but it can be really grey and the weather challenging) I look forward to 'joining' your family on this visit...and just look at how your beautiful babies have grown...! 😊😊
You are all Anglofied now. Getting out in bad weather and determined to enjoy yourselves. Blare didnt seem to be fazed by the weather at all. That wind makes you feel alive dont it. Certanly makes going in doors feel very comforting and cosey.
Nope.Mac did not hire a deckchair and roll up his trousers, knot a handkerchief on his head and sit down to enjoy the weather! Takes years to get to that stage...
Years... lol
Best one yet, so glad you kept it as one vid :)
Great video! Looks like you had a great time despite the weather! 🌦️ 👍👍
Beware the Selkies at night by the sea! You should also visit Lindisfarne, another tidal island.
I have enjoyed being on your journeys with you and your family. It has made me realise that as a Brit, I should revisit the places of my youth with my grandchildren. Best wishes and thank you.
Hey guys! Do visit Wells in Somerset! In my COMPLETELY unbiased opinion the most lovely Cathedral in this or any other country! ;-) Small and intimate, not grand. With a medieval clock, the choiresters houses, a market and Cheddar and Glastonbury Tor, and the levels home to King Arthur nearby. Try to eat at the Westbury Inn in Westbury sub Mendip, but not Monday or Tuesday when it is closed.
Don't forget the Dundas aqueduct nearby, or Bradford on Avon!
Love this channel
Welcome to beach central! Youve come during the truly dodgy weather time of year - walking boots and waterproof coats required! Not everything is opened up just yet - many of the more tourist activities are closed til Easter.
BTW North coast has waves, south coast doesn’t.
St Ives is a nightmare for parking!
Looks like you picked a fabulous spot to stay. You will cop the wind up there tho! Warning - if u come in summer, be ready for traffic. And avoid like the plague when it’s the Boardmasters music festival.
The kids would probably enjoy the Falmouth National Maritime Museum.
The traditional pastie is a steak pastie (with the ‘a’ pronounced as in apple not acorn). Can’t beat a good fresh pastie to get u set for the day 😊
So glad you enjoyed being down here… do come back! Xx
Love you guys first time watching, subscribed. I love your appreciation of it here. I guess your time in the UK is blessed ❤
Thanks for subbing!
I typed I "hope" your time in the UK is blessed not I guess!! Stupid autocorrect!! 😅
What a lovely video what a beautiful family.
Great visit and glad the weather improved. ❤
I was in Mouse - Hole (apparently not pronuncecd that way) last year. We also crossed the causeway :)
Kids having fun, priceless. Cornwall is lovely in summer.
Mac treat yourselves to a trip to the isles of scilly in the summer with it's caribbean like beaches
The north coast is the real Crown Jewels of Cornwall.
I know,I live here (Bodmin moor).
My first time watching your videos. I holidayed in Cornwal as a kid, and last year went back it was so lovely and nothing changed. Its got a specisl vibe. I so enjoyed seeing your beautiful family. Enjoy yourselves ❤
Great to see you all had a great time in Cornwall, like many people, I spent a good portion on my childhood on holidays in Cornwall, you've brought back some good memories. 👍🏻
Thanks for introducing us to your lovely family Mike O'connor
The tide comes in at such a pace you need to get back off the Mount before it turns.
We left the mount just as it turned, before we got back to shore it was almost up to our waists!
😳
St. Ives. Love it. Pasties yummy always have a Cornish Pasty in St. Ives
The wind!
I’m so glad you’ve made it to Cornwall. It is strange and mystical feeling place, not quite in this world. You were so close to the famous Minack cliff side theatre too. My favourite place x
Next time go in the summer it's gorgeous 👍🏼
Great video - glad you're here!
Weathering the storm, you’re officially true brits! Horrible weather but you made it there safely, enjoy your holiday x
Great video. You've inspired me to get down there again.
I was thinking do THE family still post ? and first thing I clicked on was you ! glad you are still posting
St Ives was well known for artists. The light is extraordinary when it's sunny. You have the Tate Gallery at St Ives and my fav, Barbara Hepworth with her sculptures in her beautiful garden. The beach in front of the Tate is gorgeous and accessible (round the corner 10 mins walk from the harbour where you were). Daymer Bay is not too far and is easily accessible and sheltered lovely beach.
Lostwithiel has had major archaeological digs and was a rich settlement with objects found there from the Mediterranean and further.
You pronounce pasty as pah stee, paystee means you look a bit pale and ill! They're yummy! You're right, the crimped edge was for holding because the miners had dirty hands but also arsenic as they mined tin. The Romans knew about Cornwall as the "land of tin"
Cornish pasties are protected food and can only be made in Cornwall, like melton mowbray pork pie and stilton cheese.
Cornwall can be breathtaking when it's sunny.
Cornwall is wonderful 😊
There is a book called Green Smoke (rosemary manning) about a dragon and Constantine Bay, north coast , my fav beach. The book and the bay are brilliant!
Man, those babies are growing fast!
The babies and the whole family got well watered in Cornwall, which must be making them grow!
LoL
I always feel like apologising about the weather to anyone from a different land 😆 waiting for a sunny day so i know people can enjoy the country
2:30 was priceless for me and what having family is all about! By the way, you guys are pioneers for how you venture out in a country that is 'foreign' to you! Respect.
Next time you go to Cornwall visit Porthcurno, it has a museum where all the cables lead from Cornwall to America and the British empire
I just got to the part where you said you'd be going to Land's End.... OH NO!!! I wish I could persuade you to go to Cape Cornwall instead. Land's End was bought ( I'm sorry to say this ) by an American company who turned it into some kind of mini theme park that is completely inappropriate for Cornwall, or anywhere else in the UK. Mind you it's several years since I visited it so I guess there's hope that it changed hands again and became a landmark in magical Cornwall, an ancient Celtic nation where they'd never heard of slushies. I'm glad you got to see Cornwall in the wintertime without the summertime hordes of tourists. Happy trails...
If you return to Cornwall in the summer, be aware your fellow tourists will be multiplied by a thousand to one ! Constant traffic jams and crowded beaches. Cornwall is best in spring in my experience.
Loved the film and it was great to see the kids lovin' it , how lucky they are to have parents like you two and what a great addition to our land your family is , well done and god luck in all you do
Exciting, some of my ancestors came from there!
Love your videos. The "past" in pasties sound like "past", not "paste" 😊
Thank you for this. ❤
Fens to Cornwall, a loooong way!
Great enjoyable vlog cheers.
Another place iv never been,😂 the rain though 😮
It's much nicer in summer!
Atlantic stormy weather! We get plenty of wind and rain this time of year. Why do you think it’s so v green?! Winters are blustery. But if you catch the good weather it’s stunning.
Good one. Robert, uk.
Defo go end of soring summer beautiful place
Thank you again for another great video of the UK. It would be great to see you visit north Staffordshire (a bit closer to home), Trentham Gardens, Pottery Museums, Alton Towers, Peak Wildlife Park. Lots to explore!
What a beautiful place! Your video makes me want to go there 😊
Also, do you edit your own videos? If so, you do a fabulous job! This video was crisply edited. The music throughout added to the experience, and the visual effects for the transition sequences looked professional. Good job 👍
Thank you 🙂
Just visited there a few weeks back. If you can cope with the weather, Cornwall in winter is great - less tourists and quieter roads, but still plenty of stuff open.
Yes so glad you made it to Cornwall, can’t wait to see your Spring/Summer trip, we used to stay every year near Padstow (it gets really busy, but you can do boat trips, crab fishing, crazy golf and there’s a Lobster Hatchery where they help breed Lobsters to keep the population going) think you would also like Watergate Bay, Harlyn Bay and also Boscastle. There’s loads more attractions for kids too, like Camel Creek, all down the narrow roads as usual!
Great video guys
Thanks so much!
Cornwall is wonderful best time to visit is may June or September, it can be manic in the summer. Oh and M the pasty is pronounced a little differently to how you where saying, the traditional pasty is perfect either hot or cold.
Did any cornishmen overhear your pronouncing of pas-tee mate ? Your version is me topless in summer. Casper like 👻🤣😁 Lovely part of the UK down there 👍🏻
Try 'past-ees' rather than 'paste-ees'....also, 'Corn-wul', rather than 'Corn-wall'. Great video and loved the Eden Project.
You're right about the dogs, Mac, but it's not just Cornwall. The whole of the UK is infested with them.
Not infested,blessed.
Yes I’m a dog man.
Very true, it’s out of control, and I love dogs
As a Cornishman i have to tell you, it's pass-tee.
Pasties are pronounced past-eez👍👍
What month of the year did you go. The beginning looks wet and miserable. Well done to your kids for getting through the storm 😮
End of December
Tin-ta-jel
PAST-ees, not PAY-stees lol😊
Much better after being in the oven ;)
Probably not the best time of year to visit Cornwall...LOL!
Lol, really like your videos, thank you.
But, I have to correct you, sorry! Its called a Cornish PASTY, pronounced "Pas - Tee", not "Paste-tee". Glad you enjoyed Cornwall, its a lovely place. Cheers 8-)
It's Pas-tees btw, Cornwall is one place i always wanted to go.
