    As a Swede I really enjoyed this video. And it might be the first time I hear someone mention my hometown that ain't from Sweden. I live in Djurås, where Västerdalälven and Österdalälven becomes Dalälven. The point where they meet up is actually really beautiful!

      5 seconds later she says "Sweden lays in northern Europe" so I guess she just misspoke and said Norway instead of Europe since she is Norwegian herself?

    When you dropped into a random location in northern Sweden, you dropped into a hill just outside of Abisko, which is a popular national park with amazing views.
    The lake you spotted is Torneträsk.

    I was especially impressed by the landscapes in Northern Sweden! 😄 What else do you know about Sweden that I didn't mention? Edit: At 0:45 I made a mistake, I meant to say that Sweden lies in Northern Europe, not Northern Norway 😄 My bad!

      Islands in the west coast generally have low density or no trees, while islands to the east have high density. And something interesting about islands in in the north. Since we had a lot of ice covering the area you can see scrapings from that era everywhere you look.

      That Norway left the personal union with Sweden in 1905. Swedish troops were sent to the border, but the government reconsidered: "nah, enough with wars. We havn' t had one in 100 years. Let's wait for another 100 years and then evaluate."

    The second touchdown is Skeppsbron. To the West is Gamla Stan. The ship is Af Chapman, a vandrarhem (hostel) since very Long ago. My mum stayed there around 1940 already. Furter east of the ship beyond Skeppsholmen (which is where the ship is anchored) is the the Gröna Lund entertainment park and Skansen. The Island to the South is Södermalm, the hipster inferno. If you walk 200m North, the Royal Castle is facing Skeppsbron.

    Its too bad that most tourists in Stockholm actually miss ALOT, the archipelago of Stockholm for example is absolutely stunning in my opinion! And Visby on Gotland is one of the most beautiful cities we have in Sweden. Really worth a visit, a boat there usually takes around 2-3 hours!

    Don't worry about your Swedish pronunciation, it's fine. =)
    Being a Swede I can hear your accent but as with most Norwegians, it's kind of a cute and non-threatening accent.
    A few years back I and my brother drove from Stockholm to Langøya next to Lofoten. It was majestic, and even if we mostly used the E4 highway there are options. I full-heartedly recommend it to anyone. =)

    I think there is more forest in sweden than 69%, some say its 85% forest cover and others only 50% forest cover, when I look at it it's basically looks like 95% forest cover and the rest is city and 5% agriculture.
    The forest in sweden always looks so untouched even close to large city's. It looks so magical.

      Perhaps. The English word "Sweden" = don't know at all. The Swedish/Norse word Svitiod exists along and before the Roman empire days. During the the centuries before christ, Swedes were called Suones by the Romans. The German tribes obliterating the Romans 100BC were originating from Sweden centuries before. Tall, blond, blue eyes and a harsh warrior mind. Good times.

      Svealand is considered to be the middle of Sweden due to Norrland being very empty from people even though the land area is huge.

    Jag är svensk men jag har typ inte varigt någonstans alls:'( Jag bor i Uppland och har varit i Uppsala flera gånger, och Säffle några gånger när jag var mindre för att jag har släkt där. Men jag har aldrig varigt utomlands, bara på Ekerölinjen vilket då är jag på finsk vatten men det räknas inte för jag klev aldrig av båten😔Och det mästa jag har varit norr är till Kungsberget på sommaren utanför Sandviken och det nästa jag har varigt söder är till Stockholm för att hemta en gräsklippare och då såg jag Globen från motorvägen!       The square-ish stones most often used resembles bricks more than they do anything "cobbled". Also, there are concrete bricks and lego bricks, so who says bricks must mean _tegel_ (burned clay) really?

    Actually, Denmark is not part of Scandinavia. Scandinavia has its name out of the Scand mountain range running through Norway, Sweden and Finland.

    3:02 You start off by zooming in the ugliest and most destroyed part of Stockholm... (Until 1952, that place was among the coziest places in town. The socialist regime didn't like that though, calling it pathetic and "bourgeois". So they teared down some 700 (!) beautiful buildings there, and planned for much more, before stopped by the 1973/74 oil crisis as well as by protesters.)
