Something about this song especially the music of the 50s-60s just gives me such an amazing feeling. To be exact. Extreme goosebumps. Just the way the music sounded the way ray sounded, the way the ladies singing voices sounded of that generation. Just something makes me keep hitting repeat on this.

One of my favorite scenes from the movie, they did a phenomenal job in capturing the essence of 50s-60s soul music. I love everything about this song, just gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. The baseline in this song is so straightforward and smooth. The instruments in this song was absolutely incredible. Jamie Foxx did a phenomenal job in portraying the great Ray Charles. He was brought this man life story to life. Regina King also did a fantastic job as portraying Margie Hendrix.

A lot of people think it's Jamie's voice they're hearing but he's lip syncing the songs. He put on a great performance but it is not him singing. Nobody could have done a better job than Jamie did but NOBODY can sing like Ray
He did a great performance because he can also sing and have successful music albums himself. So his mannerism when lip singing feels legit compared to an actor who cannot sing professionally. I'm sure he is actually singing into a dummy mic, they just dubbed over the scene with Ray's actual voice. Also, people believe its Jamie Foxx because he sang that song with Kayne "Golddigger". In that song Jamie deliberately sang as if he was a sample of Ray Charles mimicking his voice perfectly. That song came out I believe shortly after this movie release so many people including myself were "surprised" assuming that it was in fact him singing in the movie as well.
....Oh almost forgot. He featured in a rap song called "Georgia" with someone I cant remember. He deliberately sang like a Ray Charles sample in that song too. He was on a Ray Charles feature binge after this movie. More reason why we all assumed he sang in the movie. He can mimick Charles perfectly as proven in some of the songs he was featured in.
