Good video. I'm new to instructing in the DA42. For the Vmca demo, don't you want the worst configuration, i.e. full power on right engine, left (critical) engine windmilling (not 20% which would simulate feathered)? Did I miss something?
You're absolutely right, it's just that I'm following the SOPs of the school I'm instructing at and they never allow us to take it to 0 load or to cut off the fuel for example for the critical engine.
@@drpilotfi thanks for the clarification. I understand the "no fuel cutoff" policy....I understand that doing so creates big problems for the fuel injection system, but I'm struggling to understand the zero load. But I also understand some "rules" don't necessarily follow logic! Thanks!
