    Just a healthy comment, I noticed when you reduce thrust the airplane drifted left of the Rwy centerline, is that related to propeller forces?

    ..i don't see rudder trimm after engine failure, don't you use it? cause i cannot see..

    • @greatflyer_aviation
      @greatflyer_aviation  Před 2 lety

      Would you recommend rudder trim in a single engine circuit?

    • @tompepa4250
      @tompepa4250 Před 2 lety

      @@greatflyer_aviation ..yes..in a case, especially on a circuit with one engine inoperative..when you are definitly sure, that dead engine will not start up again, after engine fail, should follow opposite rudder, thrust on live engine, to avoid stall, when you are stabilized, rudder trim to halfscale (not whole, that you can feel the difference) and feathering dead engine..than the control of airplane is more comfortable, and the forces in steering are not so strong..then on final, by slowing down and live engine correcting power to iddle, before flare, rudder trim back to middle, because forces are fast the same..
      Of course, when engine fail happens on final, you don not have a time for this, so you correcting it with rudder..but in case of going around, you could do this all in accelerating height (400ft AGL)..then is circuit more comfortable..so we learn, in a school..

    Too far away from airport circle. Afraid of shorter circles ?

      This was a standard circuit as prescribed by local procedures.

      @@greatflyer_aviation What local procedures? You mean all airplanes have to make huge circles around the airport? Are you lying to me to cover the fact that you cannot do shorter approaches. Im a multi engine CFI for decades..

      @@outwiththemyou’re the CFI for decades and you are not aware that some airports have prescribed traffic patterns for example due to noise abatement procedures? Interesting.
