- came across this vehicle which was abandoned and parked inside a open space for more than 2 years . Bought this polo as a restoration project , so that i can work on it and put this vehicle back on the road .

A quick question: should i use 5w40 grade 505 01 oil or 5w30 grade 507 00 oil for 1.6 tdi? Manual seems to suggest 507 over 50501 but everybody i see uses later even in authorised service centres.

Hope to see the Polo error free soon 🙂. All these works needs a lot of patience and time . Did you tried to repair the Alternator or you replaced it with a new one ?

hello sir i have an issue with my polo 1.5 tdi
whenever i put reverse gear from Neutral it puts very loud grind noise but it dont get stuck and engages every time this dont happen when reverse is engaged directly from other gears there is no cluch slippage in car.
Sir try bleeding the clutch once.
if you double press the clutch before putting it into reverse and the problem doesn't come again then most probably , you just need to wait a little to let the gears inside the transmission to slow down before the reverse is engaged

Which scan tool you are using? Its very problematic to find videos on Indian Vento/Polo as we get the special India/Russia/Soviet Union version which is not found anywhere else.

Sir yes there are , but honestly there is no advantage of doing that , after that oil becomes so oxidised that the additives it has starts to break down and performance and protection depreciates

Hey hi...i am having an pre-owned ameo tdi 2018 model which is having mileage issues very badly and in cold starts it gives so much of knocking sound and i also feel power loss in 1st and 2 nd gears. What's the solution for this problem . I am getting an average of 13 kmpl and 15 on highways ecen cruising at 80kmph
