My favorite thing about this GTA was you worked your businesses as missions after awhile.. Malibu club,printworks, Kaufman cabs,boatyard,ice cream truck etc
Too bad they used the scarface sound track for gta 3. It would've been perfect here. It's also quite telling that vice city is a better game than the official scarface game lol
I love how you narrate a non linear game like it were a movie with a written script. I already know the story but hearing you makes the script feel alive.
Hilary dying at the end of the heist after beating him in a street race which btw was hard for me when I first played it on the ps2 version felt like a massive flop, I know he's a pro driver and his role was the getaway driver but why would he even attempt to try and cover tommy from the swat team

"Leave me alone, and I'll never forgive you" 🤢 I had to restart this racing mission soooo many times as a kid and had to sit through this unskippable dialogue every single time. The reason was, early versions of Vice City on PC had horrible texture pop-in when you drove fast, so I could never win the race cause the world wouldnt load in fast enough and I kept crashing into invisible stuff. Horrible horrible mission, quit the game because of it on my first playthrough. Even after they fixed the pop-in bug (or maybe it was because I upgraded my PC, who knows lol), the mission was still annoying cause of how crazy Hilary's driving AI was.
In my opinion Tommy made a giant mistake whilst planning the heist. Tommy’s main criminal expertise is being a hit man and has no experience in how to plan a robbery. Surely he’s capable of small time thievery but until he builds his empire that’s about it. Tommy’s biggest mistake which no one mentions is that he trusted three complete strangers on a robbery, three strangers that might stab him in the back. At least Michael’s crew comprised of him, Franklin, Trevor and Lester whom he trusted as well as others who are indeed new but Lester knew enough about them and that is enough. Tommy goes through some of the most difficult jobs to recruit them and risks a jail sentence for breaking out Cam and was just barely able to get away with it. Tommy is quite short sighted and it shows and I think that Tommy is intelligent, don’t make me wrong but he’s incredibly shortsighted and makes overlooked mistakes. He could’ve even put Lance instead of one of them but didn’t.

It seems illogical that Tommy would trust three complete strangers over his own second in command, let alone involve Ken due to Ken having no experience in combat.

Well another thing about the job heist that we literally can kill cam johnes after he crackes the bank locker then we just have to take his briefcase then we can escape and then we can listen secret voice line of Tommy and Phil. You guys can try it.
My one problem with the bank heist is that they are in the Malibu club, it could have had its own separate revenue missions to promote the club. Still vice city is my favourite game in the GTA series.

As much as I love GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas, Vice City is by far my favorite. And is terribly underrated

Hillary was the worst character in the game. If my car caught fire during the race I tried to get right along side him so his Saber would blow up too.

You are right except of the Lance part: Lance would have answered to Tommy exactly how he answered Vic.
