Spraying that car, in that colour, is like putting a roofrack on a Ferrari........pure sacrilege.!!!!! i would never dream of doing that to my 911......good skills, chavy result.
Might not be for you, but everyone’s entitled to their own style, and it’s all removable paint/wrap buddy, so it protects the factory paint and will peel off safely when the time comes to change up the look. Don’t worry, I didn’t use permanent paint on a Taycan.

Just read that this is only a wrap, not paint! In this case, it’s a great job and explains why trim pieces weren’t removed and the door jams were left naked. Not for me, but neat color and will be like having a new car when the decision is made to remove the wrap.

excellent work in my opinion I left the original painting and wrapped the car in the color you painted but they are tastes, it was top.

Yes door jams typically stay the OEM color. There’s a few scenes that show the jams in the video, but basically a hard line similar to what vinyl wrap would look like :)

Did I see that you didn't sand the car? What did you apply before? To apply the paint?
Correct, it’s a rubber-based peelable paint/liquid wrap, not traditional permanent automotive paint, so no sanding required. AutoFlex is the product. See our intro video for more information!

What are the tools being used to push the tape into crevices?
It's called a Spudger and is one of the most important tools in our shop, haha. Luckily very cheap and can be found at the link below.

very good, clean and meticulous job. I like the color, still kind of subtle for an orange...I personally would have opted for a different caliper color to go with the orange...something darker and more contrasting...more power to you
Question about AutoFlex: can it be applied over unpainted textured cladding? Will it last?
Hey! It depends on what the surface is made of, but unless it’s aerosol painted, it can be sprayed over most over surfaces no problem! On some surfaces (like plastic and rubber), it won’t be easily removable as on OEM clear-coated paint, but it can definitely be done if you don’t necessarily care to be able to fully remove it in the future :)
@@rosecitydip Yeah, it's the black textured ABS cladding around the lower part of a Polestar 2. I wouldn't mind a semi-permanent solution, but most body shops don't want to paint it body color, they can't guarantee it will last.

No sure I would paint it in this color. Love the color but would wrap it instead to keep the car oem.
This actually is a type of wrap that’s simply sprayed on rather than laid on like a vinyl wrap. Still 100% removable :)

It was definitely acceptable for the customer! It can also be flow-coated for a more show-quality finish if desired. More info on that process can be found on the intro video on our channel :)

Masking tape doesn’t replace doing it the right way and taking off parts to completely prevent over spray and painting to achieve a OEM look and quality. Using tape is simply the lazy way you use when you paint a Honda Civic 😏

@@davidpettit6749 agree with it being peelable and giving some protection. It will take quite a bit of effort I'm sure to apply and remove. Maybe I'm old school if you like it than that is what counts!
That car has been destroyed; that is NOT how you correctly prep and paint a prestige car like that.
Actually it’s been protected with 10+ mils of material all around. It’s not a permanent paint job, it’s a removable liquid/spray wrap.

Haha, didn’t ruin anything buddy. It’s a removable (and actually highly effective protective) coating that can be taken off at any time leaving the paint underneath in the same condition it was before. Check out our more recent removal video where we actually completely remove this exact install :)

A cheap job did not strip the car down just masked it up not the right way to do a car like that
This isn’t a paint job, it’s a removable liquid wrap. We’ve done hundreds of full cars with this type of product and similar prep and have had hardly any issues at all that could have been remedied by taking everything apart.
In the name of all that's holy, WHY? You have ruined a perfectly beautiful car.
Lol, didn’t ruin anything bud. If you look into any information at all whatsoever, you’d see that it’s a fully removable coating that’s actually protecting the paint underneath while providing a fun color change for a period at maybe 20% of the cost and time of a full paint job 🤙🏼
