Very carefully by sliding very thin plastic spudgers between emblem and backing and slowing working around to pop the clips :)

I can’t say exactly, but we would charge $4,000 for a standard coupe/sedan in this color and finish install :)

You can put certain automotive base-coat paint on top (visit Clarity Coat’s website for more support and information on exactly what brands and types are compatible), but then you would still want to put AutoFlex gloss topcoat/clearcoat on top of that, not just any automotive clear.

We have a specific process that has worked for us for 7+ years, but essentially a very specific cleaning process as well adhesion promoter to ensure longevity on chrome.

Yes, we use adhesion promoter beforehand to ensure longevity for the liquid wrap on chrome.

I actually got one myself, it has to be a complete restoration, engine rebuild and body, because of the condition it was in. I’ve painted it black because all of my vehicles are black, but I totally agree with you that the black just doesn’t work. The original color was Silver and I’ll change it to that color eventually. Also, it’s an iconic and I don’t believe you change an icon. It’s an icon for a reason.

It’s not regular auto paint, it’s a removable liquid wrap called AutoFlex, which doesn’t require full R&I for a successful install.

Haha, didn’t ruin anything buddy. It’s a removable (and actually highly effective protective) coating that can be taken off at any time leaving the paint underneath in the same condition it was before. Check out our more recent removal video where we actually completely remove this exact install :)

Hey! It depends on what the surface is made of, but unless it’s aerosol painted, it can be sprayed over most over surfaces no problem! On some surfaces (like plastic and rubber), it won’t be easily removable as on OEM clear-coated paint, but it can definitely be done if you don’t necessarily care to be able to fully remove it in the future :)

@@rosecitydip Yeah, it's the black textured ABS cladding around the lower part of a Polestar 2. I wouldn't mind a semi-permanent solution, but most body shops don't want to paint it body color, they can't guarantee it will last. Thank you!

@@surturiel gotcha! In that case, we could do that no problem as long as our OEM pigment supplier has the ability to make that color code in their system!

Under a year, but customer traded it in for another car, and the dealership wanted it back to OEM to sell.

Yeah, traded it in for the BMW XM we just did :)
