I have a ton of respect for Rambo to do all that in two seconds!
Rambo dug a Huey out of the jungle, gassed 'er up, threw in a couple of car batteries and fired that bitch up!
Yep, that's why Rambo was called.......Rambo!
😂
😁😆😂 Agreed.. LOL.
Hey mate! Rambo did that in emergency, not for a CZcams video.
Rambo knows he can't die because he's the star. So he doesn't bother with all that shit. 😂
I am a instructor for the Bell 206 in Arizona and I have to say, that this is one of the best startup demos I have seen. Very well done!
Russell, what is the typical cost to be a citified 206 pilot? I used to be a USAF helicopter mechanic.
@@nicolatesla5786 Some of the best pilots I know started as mechanics! Varies by state and helps if you know someone. Where are you located?
@@russellwilliams3209 Hey Russell. I am located in az as well what school do you work for? And what are your cost for certification? Thanks!
@@michaelcal121 What part of the state are you in? If your interested in some detailed info, I can contact you and compare prices and packages with others nearby.
being an instructor, you already, & subconsciously know the little things left out. If a newbie used this in an emergency to get off a mountain, hed never leave the ground is all Im saying. granted LOTS of good info, just not complete.
Got my commercial helicopter rating in 1992 and before that was left seat in an OH58C in the Army. I still have my technical manual for the OH58. Great video. Brings back memories.
That's really awesome! We're glad it brought back good memories :)
During my Army Aviator days., we were trained to look at the rotor blades when checking controls movements to make sure they follow..
is that because you had an APU to drive the hydraulics without engine power?
@@ticenits1926 no its to make sure the rigging adjustments in the flight controls matches the control inputs. One mechanic made a fatal mistake when he adjusted the elevator cable to the extreme end and the elevators were adjusted in the up elevator region. The pilot never asked the copilot to check the elevator or other surfaces for full deflection in the up and down level. The aircraft ended up pitching up, then stalling into a turn spin and crashed outside a hanger and killed many people aboard.
Correct !
excellent explanation by this CFI. the 206L4 is a real sweetheart 👌
Great instruction!!
Absolutely lovely to hear such clear straightforward instructions. The best instructions I have heard so far. Thank you and best of luck. Fly safe. Thumbs up & Subscribed.
verbally calling out check list is normal I used to be a helicopter mechanic in the United States Air Force.
Every thing is fine, except the ugly music
I keep coming back to this demonstration, must be the most thorough and explanatory one I have ever seen. Excellent!
Thank you!
Oil check according to the checklist during engine startup after more than one minute at 4:50, or did I miss something (3:39 - 70 degree ?!? ;) :)
But thanks for also showing the cool down ! :)
Excellent explanation and guide through the comprehensive check- list...well done!!
I have piloted fixed wing in real world. I have also piloted a Bell 206 simulator. The instructor always had the “engine “ at max governed RPM when I stepped into the sim. I read the manual about startup and shutdown, but I never had to perform those operations. That saved time in the sim for flying, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have also been a passenger in real world in a 206. It was quite fascinating and educational. Thanks for your video. I’m an old man now. Living vicariously has its advantages.
That was crispy clear, the sequence was so smooth flowing. Just loved the video.👏👏
Outstanding video. You are a real credit to your profession!!
Whata checklist!!!
Great video and big respect to memory, process integrity and control.
Outstanding explanation of the startup and shutdown for the Bell 206L-4. Nice job.
WOW, Great job, this video is so informative, You are a wonderful teacher. God Bless!
Super video, so well described and explained..Just perfect. Thank you
I flew a 206 all over the Amazon river basin in Peru, along with a twin otter on floats... Great vid.
Excellent. Finally someone explained the Rotor Brake.
SUU Aviation this Is the Instructions I would love to have in the 206 and this is one of the best ones yet
Thank you so much for that great demonstration. I really enjoyed it.
Best and most clearly stated instructions I've seen. So many details have been left out of the other peoples instructions that I've seen, but you do an excellent job of staying on the checklist. Thanks.
FLAWLESS!!! GREAT JOB!!!
WELL DONE, WHAT A COMPLEX MACHINE, MUCH RESPECT FOR YOU AND YOUR SKILLS SIS, STAY AWESOME !!
that was sooo cool. there's such a lot to remember thanks for the tour
Thanks Sami. Very well done and instructive.
Good job haven't flown in 30 years hard to believe how much I've forgotten.
Stay safe and keep the greasy side down.
Great tutorial. I would like to see you do some more on hovering. Lift offs and set downs. Taxiing would be good as well. Flying around in the air was easy. It was the other stuff that took a minute.
Thank you for sharing!!! I graduated from SUU also but in a different program. Aviation (Rotorwing) was/still is my passion. I live in Enoch now and love to see you guys fly over us.
That was a very interesting thing to see and very well explained, thank you.
Great Job Sami ,, you makes it look easy , Helicopter flying is a lot of work , I had taken some lesson ,Thx for share
Crewed UH-1N's (Bell 212) in an Air rescue Unit in the U.S.A.F. in the 70's out of Homestead AFB in South Florida. With the exception of my daughters' birth, it was the best time of my life.
Man alive, I just can't get enough of these sorts of videos. Well done and thank you!
We’re happy to hear that!
Very well understood. Great explanation ever seen. Big big thank to you...
Excellent step by step run through of a 206L startup and shutdown. Best I've ever seen. Many others skip a lot of the details - you covered everything! Congratulations.
All ya' do is meticulously Use The Checklists.... can't lose ..😎🇺🇸👌
I got my Bell 206L last month. I can now fire the pilot after this demo
I didn’t see the fuel valve in the end
This looks hella fun!
Thanks for the tutorial!
You are a good (IP)! I was in US Army Aviation in 1978, was in the Army Crew Chief training program at Ft. Rucker, AL but changed my MOS, and now I wish I had continued my training, so I could eventually become a Bell Huey Pilot at some point. Too old now, bad vision and reflexes aren't what they use to be. Good Luck in your career!!!
Interesting video and very well done. The pilot is obviously an expert. She has convinced me it is a good thing I've never tried to fly anything. I couldn't keep track of where I was in that checklist and would have to have help to find all the switches and buttons.
Very impressive, green with envy of your skill set, thanks for sharing
I'd say the best and most detailed explanation I have seen yet. Learnt about the two clicks of the idle release and the slight lifting of collective during shutdown. Brilliant.
Shame about the pointless music but I just have to accept that is becoming the norm .
Thanks Craig! We’re glad to hear it.
I have always been in awe of helicopter pilots. Thanks for demystifying the process
Thanks for the Videos, keep them Coming.
Excellent demo. Probably the best one out there. ✌🏻
Thank you!
Great startup demo/tutorial!.
The 206 will always be the iconic helicopter for me!.
I often wondered how difficult it was to start, and how it was done!.
Great video, I have always loved helicopters.
Nice . I thought I want to make a clear video like this but again I want to sit with instructor to renew my license again. But you already did a great job.
The best teacher/pilot
Excellent presentation!
Cleanest panel I have ever seen. I loved the "Don't Touch the Glass." Maintenace must be top notch!
Best detailed procedure ever. I thought I was the only one that wrote reminder times on my watch hand. 😁
Military during the 70's, grease pencil was the norm for notes on the plexiglass. You definitely get an A+.
Love the instructions
Good job . After a while it’s easy to remember , the fascination becomes just another job .
Excellent video!! Thank you!
You know being a helicopter pilot makes you the coolest person on earth!
Bell Training Academy! Yes! Have you been through it? The L Model is awesome!
Way to go Sami! Awesome CFI!
Thank you for explaining the cyclic and pedal movements on pick up.
You're welcome. Always glad to help!
Felicitaciones muy bien hecho, saludos desde Colombia un abrazo
Love the gremlin bell
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, the explanation is very clear, unfortunately I fly only whit a simulator for now, but it need to do all the procedures correctly, so very useful video ! Thanks again
Very impressive... well done.
Wow! What a useful video! Thanks so much for sharing it!
Fantastic start up description 👏🏻 one suggestion-I always used to visually check that the blades were responsive to my control inputs 🤷🏻♂️👍🏻
Thanks for the awesome video!
I never knew about the rotor brake great video.
Seeing all those instructions...
*A Dragonfly with a smirk: seriously??? ha ha ha* 😁😁😁
Excellent demo! Very well explained! 41 years is aviation in both helicopters and airplanes and this keeps my interest. Hovering and talking!! Mad skills!! 😀
Thank you, Ed!
I have never seen how a holicopter oparates.you are the best instructor, believe me.if have to be a pilot I wish to be trained by you
Hi Sami...Nice n smooth start.. good video... thanks.
👍🏼 Outstanding!!!
I’m a flight paramedic and am intimately familiar with the impressive skills possessed by chopper pilots.
Thanks.
Great video!
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Kanda! 😀
Outstanding! So well done!
Thank you!
I always wanted to fly a Helicopter and my pass uncle flew them in the Army and a pass great friend of mine in the Navy and it’s time for me to follow up and this is great to walk with you throughout the pre start up
yup, it was fun
Seems straight forward, i am now ready for take off, in my dreams
Really great video. Im ready for my helicopter now.
Outstanding performance. I'll ride with you any day of the week.
Awesome! Fantastic job
Very impressive! You really know your stuff. Good to see safe practices followed.
I miss working on these not exactly these models I did mostly 407s or EC130s few jet rangers and long rangers. It's freaking awesome work tho doing kits or adding new equipment, always something new to do or learn. I loved how thorough the work was and I was proud of the job I did. Cool going over pre flight checks I kinda figured it'd just be like yeah flip your overhead breakers roll collective to ideal and whoo shit here we go lol. Damn kills me not being in that world anymore.
This is fantastic, thanks for sharing. I an actually the pilot in tbis videi, and this was my last flight before I moved.
When I was a kid I love helicopter so need to take notes some preflight checklist, engine starter, and then engine shutdown.. I love to fly the helicopter 🚁.
The "fast forward" video edit from 7:42 to 7:45 terrified me for a second, I thought she was losing control lol. Awesome video!
Ive been fascinated in helicoptors and aircraft in general, i used to watch airwolf, tv and films with aircraft and have several airvraft simulator games, this is the 1st time i have seen a full startup. I found it really well explained and really interesting. 😊
We appreciate it! If you would like some more information on our program we’d love to help you become a pilot
Hey Sami I fly the Enstrom 480 in the UK. Seeing this video is a great refresher for starting up a turbine helicopter. Really impressed by attention to detail by you and your team safe flying Captain.
Thank you, Shaun! 😄
As simple as that! Lol great explanation and lesson!
Great explanation. Thank you.
Glad to help! 🙂
Sammy you’r a ⭐️ star ⭐️ 🔝🔝🔝
Subscribed. Look forward to more

Very nice explanation ❤
Awesome pilot 💙💙
Thanks for your video very impressive 🇯🇲
AMAZING Lady and pilot 😍👍🏽
I think you have the best start and stop. I truly believe, this is a great resource for pilots moving to other machines as a resource. I would do ever machine i had and put in video an easy way to make $. Keep up the great videos and the details coming with each start and stop.. Happy Holidays and 2023 to come.
Thank you!
Super informative. I didn’t know a 206 had a directional gyro like RC models.
The directional gyro is just a tiny one inside a navigation instrument. The aircraft itself is not gyro stabilized like a radio control.
Stay in the Lane of Safety and Cheers Dove!
Well done!
Excellent professional pilot, Id fly with her any day.
Awesome pilot and instructor! I bet it was a beautiful flight. Thank you
I start Heli school in May. Thanks for the information and hope to see you up there!
Awesome! Good luck, let us know if you have any questions!
Love videos like these, good learning lesson, thank you.
Great Stuff thank You Ms..Nice helicopter.. 😊
Thanks for showing us how you did all of that, I always wanted to be able to that but I know I never will. Thank You !
Hey, Donald! It's never too late to learn to fly as long as you can hold a medical certificate. Would you like some information on our program?
