Thanks to your video I could start the Bell 407 in MS flight Simulator 😂
I’m also using this video for MSFS
Hahaha...they have a lot of that stuff down pretty damn good. I used MFS many years ago to go fly an actual Cessna 172. Can't remember which version, 98 maybe. Flew it quite a bit and one day saw an ad for a $35 "Introductory Flight Lesson" in the paper. Huh...I got $35. Didn't know what to expect, signed papers, waited on the instructor.
When we went out and I saw we were heading to a 172 I started telling him what I knew as we did the walk around. Once inside I did everything but talk on the radio. Same cockpit layout, FS was pretty good. Checklist.
Started it up, he told me where to taxi. Lined up on the runway, took off, leveled out at about 2500, then followed the river, couple loops around a mountain and back. He's watching me the whole time of course but he never touched a control. Other than which way to go he didn't have to tell me what to do. He asked more than once as we went, "are you sure you haven't done his before?" Not in real life sir.
Feels a whole lot better and much much better vision than a screen on a PC. However, there's no reset button either. I'm lined up coming in to land and started worrying about hitting the brakes too hard. You can't simulate that feel. I said I'm going to hand it to you. He said are you sure? Doing great. About 500 feet I gave it to him, let him touch down and get us slowed a bit first, then I taxied back and parked. It was a good day.
Look at that Garmin Technology. Glad to hear work for such a great company.
This is a very good video HOWEVER is it really necessary to have any music playing in the background? I’m here to learn what you are talking about, not to listen to music which takes away from what you are talking about.😊
Excellent.. detailed video! She's a beauty!
Thank you! We love our 407s!
My son, who graduated last April, spent his first year in SUU’s Aviation Pilot Program. After a year he switched to business and is now a broker with Vanguard in North Carolina. But boy, did he love flying those Sirius’ around that beautiful area.
Sold his dreams and soul for a pay check. The most American thing I can imagine.
how does he like being a broker?
Loved it, and that 407 is my favorite besides the Bell 212.
Loved it too from another Trump deplorable
Can’t wait to see see more
I flew the OH-58D in the Army which is a 407 drivetrain crammed into a 206 fuselage. Awesome aircraft. I’d love to fly a “regular” 407, ha.
That sounds like an awesome expirience!
@@SUUAviation Best job I ever had👍👍
Outstanding video. Any chance of an upload without the ''music'' soundtrack please?
Great video, well explained
Glad you liked it!
That's a pretty perfect video, good cuts, clear voice with good informations right on the spot. Not too fast or too slow. One question....what would have been the alternate start?
Things have really improved since the 60's . Makes me want to do it one more time. Thanks for sharing.
Let us know if you would like any more information!
Love those glass doors ❤❤❤
Great video! But should get rid of the background musak lol
Great video! Well done.
Thanks!
I’m following you through
Very cool. Soon I am going to own 1. Thank you!
Great
I work on the engine instruments with the blue nvis filters on them. The MGT one thats a bit dim when he does the lcd test makes me feel some kind of way
Very cool video!
Thank you! 😀
GREAT Video!!!!!
Thanks Eric!
What if I don’t have that music? Will the 407 still start?
Love the helment and flight suit. Sorry don't remember the exact name. Where did you purchase the helment at ? I really enjoyed the vid. Thanks for sharing with us these procedures. Saw this vid I had to subcribe.
Thank you….
Thanks you. Bout to do my endorsement. Sure like all choppers there Cockpit pannel layout will be different but get the general check list procedure.
Thanks for posting
Glad to hear this video helped you! Best of luck!
Fantástic 👍
Can you do one with Bell 222 pls
Dang I wish I could do that. What a kick in the pants.
Watching these videos I never cease to wonder what the original settlers must have felt finding this seemingly endless land before them, riding on horses and in covered wagons. It all appears too easy now,the awe and the wonderment dissipating through familiarity. America four hundred years ago, almost unimaginable, and yet men and women braved it all and survived,if they were lucky.
It definitely gives you a different perspective from up above
That helmet he has is sick! Which one is it?
Great show. I definitely would rather fly a helicopter than a jet.
Do you think your stringfellow hawke out of airwolf with the helmet on lol
What's the alternate start?
During flight, do you need to hold the collective all the time? How the keep level?
Short answer is yes in hover and no in cruise flight, if your friction is set properly. You can maintain level cruise flight with the cyclic control.
Good video and commentary, but the music does it no favours. Lose the music!
You should turn off the music when engine starting.
Awesome, what a legendary parakover 🤙
Thanks for sharing 🤙
Glad you enjoyed!
Why do you need to have the sun visor down on your helmet during check and start procedure; Its cloudy?
Because he thinks he is flying airwolf lol
Had one just fly over me. Was going 175mph
Great but get rid of music!
I would love to initiate a start up procedure.🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁
It’s a great experience! Have you ever taken an intro flight in a helicopter?
In the future, you will only need to turn a key to start engines, and push one button to check for any errors to be completed before take-off =)P
The 407 seems to have the fastest to airborne flight check nd airborne.
I disliked this video just because of your background music what nonsense ۔۔۔۔ i keen interested to hear helicopter startup sound
Navigation data expired for two years when this video has been uploaded? Wtf?
JA!! WOHL!!!👏🏻
Every thing is great but the music.
Robocock!
Man I can barely start the Robinson.
Yet another video ruined by crappy music, did it ever occur to you we might like to hear the aircraft sounds, as well as see the start?
That was how to start but not how to take off. And plenty of unnecessary music noise as accompaniment.
Thanks for the feedback!
Didn’t want to “RIDE” ON THE SKID though
Would rather hear the helicopter than that annoying music
Cut out the fluff and get rid of the music. Focus on training.
My dudes helmet and comms system cost more than his bird.
A lot simpler than a 206.
Can't watch with the damn music! Spoills an interesting video

I received a note from CZcams while watching this video- it has won an award for uttering the phrase, "we're gonna" the most times (ever) in 7:17. Unfortunately, it overwhelmed their counting algorithm- lost track after the 137th time. Contact them for the trophy.
It should be an ambulance...
Many HEMS operators do use Bell 407s for their air ambulance services.
Whatever happened to the good ole days of just turn a fuck’n key?
Cos it's a lot more fuck'n complicated these days.
Terrible video. Lose the stupid music so we can hear the sounds of the aircraft. Everything else was great.
Made $6 million dollars having to shoot a video in a dam alley way right ? Man who are you trying to bs !??? False dam ads !!!!
What? What's that about?
You’re not a ex military pilot are you, otherwise you wouldn’t have a trevor noah commercial would you?
Why do Americans say the letter O instead of zero?
It's simple slang. A 0 (zero) looks like an O (oh) when written. O (oh) also has fewer syllables and begins with a vowel making it easier to squeeze in between other words than 0 (zero).
Why Aussies say "zed" instead of "zee" for the letter Z.
Edited for spelling.
Please kill that f888ing music. It serves no purpose.
Wow! He accomplished in 5-minutes what would have taken at least 35-minutes by car.
