Okay, wow. Just wow. I love the plastic sleeves - makes a lot of sense. Here’s a thought: I think you should sell them. I would buy these. I don’t have a sewing machine or the patience to put these together, but I want them! Thank you for sharing!
LOL! I thought about it briefly, but then I would never have the time to make more tutorials . You're welcome and I'm glad you like this idea too. I actually have yet another template for shorter strips too, and I love that one for my thicker paper which I cut myself. Lots of simple project ideas on my blog. Have fun!
Just came across this. My method of storing Quilling paper is as follows. I purchased a 23 X17" Corkboard from Dollar Tree, $5 section. To the back I taped a double layer Milkshake Straws, one above the other, These are slightly larger than traditional ones. This just about covers the entire board. I also hot glued a 1/4" strip of chipboard across the bottom to keep the paper strips from falling out. you could use anything that is stiff, like a few layers glued together of cardstock. I now slip each color into it's own channel. It keeps them all separate and straight. I just pull out the color I want and break off a strip. I also purchased another one of these corkboards and cover it with waxed paper to use as my working surface. I can now put the two together when moving from one room to the other.
LOL! I wish I could make and sell them but then I’d have no time to think of new ideas. Maybe you have some crafty friends who wouldn’t mind seeing it for you?
I used your video as my starting point. I have a roll of 11” plastic for seal-a-meal type machines. I could cut to length and it is a heavier material so it sewed beautifully. Works great! Now I just need to find the right size storage box and my strips will finally be organized. Thanks for the inspiration.
😂 LOL Supersize me is the perfect description Pat!!! Yes I love being able to reach for the group I need all at one time - that’s probably the best time savings.
Yay! I’m thrilled to hear my method is tempting. After decades of this craft, this solution has finally met my needs and I haven’t craved a new method since. Hope you find it to be the same Steve!
Thank you for sharing Cecilia :) I love your idea of using plastic sleeves and sewing dividing lines to store strips - I used your template and use it to store my 3mm paper strips. So clever!
Glad you are enjoying the tutorials Jamie Cee49! Oh please feel free to ask me more questions about it. After I make the score lines, I just sew along those score lines, as if the plastic was fabric. That automatically makes the channels that guides the paper along. Does that make sense?
Ok friends, we are so very grateful for Cecelia’s idea here and understand she is not going to make these for us to purchase but SOMEONE who has a sewing machine will make these for us to purchase, right? Please???
Thanks for more great storage ideas. I had made the organizer for small strips shown in your earlier video and it’s working out really well. Wanted to try one you demonstrated for large strips and found the 11x17 sheet protector a bit expensive so ended up sewing some 8-1/2x11 sheet protectors together. Not sure how to show a picture of them here but will try emailing a couple to you. Thanks so much for your helpful ideas, instructions and videos! 👏
Thanks so much! I'm going to tackle this soon and I think I'm going to try sewing on the additional pieces instead of taping (like a shirt sleeve). I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks, Cecelia! I’m definitely going to give this a try when I can drag myself away from quilling. 😬 I’m curious where you find strips that long. The longest I’ve found are 15”. Love your instructions and always trying to make your space more workable. 👍🏼
When I started, it was so hard to stop, just so I would still have something left to film of my old method! I bought some paper from Lake City Crafts, Klutz, and Quilled Creations. Please let me know if you give it a try and how it works out for you Pam!
I'm happy to hear you like my storage idea for quilling paper Annita!
This is so helpful! I’ve used 8.5 x 11 page protectors and made the channels with the hot tip of a glue gun. But I really like the large size that accommodates long strips. Are you sewing the channels with a particular kind of thread? Thanks again!
I’m glad you found this tutorial helpful! I have not wanted anything more since making it. To make mine, I just used regular sewing thread. Thats resourceful of you to use a hot glue gun! Have fun quilling!
Hi I love this idea but don't having a sewing machine. Do you have any alternatives for us quillers that don't have access to a sewing machine. my quilling strips are long like yours and my stash of strips keeps growing. Lol. I'm usually very organized but I can not figure out how to store and organize my strips to keep them safe from getting bent. They're getting messy and it's driving me crazy. Lol
@@PaperZenCeceliaLouie oh that's a gd idea too. I actually used a Versa tool for wood burning and carving. I use it to make my own stencils. It worked out great with 2 regular size clear protectors taped together and hung on the wall for easy access next to my craft desk. I never would have come up with the idea of I didn't see your invention! Thanks again. Sorry if I stalked your videos 😆
Oh that’s a great idea too! I love it when you can use one tool for multiple purposes. Thanks for stalking my videos LOL! I’m glad they’ve been helpful!
Cecelia, I'm new to quilling. What an awesome idea. You are so creative. Thank you ;) Where can the longer strips of paper be purchased? I looked at Hobby Lobby who does carry quilling products, But they don't. And our Johann Fabric's doesn't carry any paper quilling products. When I inquired about it they didn't know what I was talking about. So far everyone thinks of liquid pen quilling. ;)
Welcome to quilling Debbi! I bought my strips from a local store and the brands are both Lake City Crafts and Quilling Creations. Unfortunately quilling isn’t mainstream and the local stores in my city don’t carry much either. I’ve had to resort to buying online. And yes, people hear pen quilling or ask if you meant quilting!

I agree! While I love this method, I'll never put it together 😂!
My OCD is so thrilled to meet your channel!
🤣 LOL!!! Welcome to my world of minute details! I’m thrilled to meet another OCD!!!

Sounds like you found a great solution!
organizing crazies(!), come here!
Thank you my teacher, for your crazings...
It’s good to know I’m not alone! Have fun Mehmet!
What a great idea. I am with Evie though I wish you made them as I don't have a sewing machine either. Thank you so much for sharing your idea...
LOL! I wish I could make and sell them but then I’d have no time to think of new ideas. Maybe you have some crafty friends who wouldn’t mind seeing it for you?
I love your storage idea! Just what I needed as I’m just starting my quilling journey- thanks!
You are so welcome Kathy!

Wonderful! I’m happy to hear it worked well for you too!
Very clever. I would not have thought of something like large format sheet protectors being a thing.
Me neither! I kept rubbing my eyes, not believing my eyes and luck! Let me know if it works well for your stash!
I used your organizing technique. Brilliant! I got a whole box papers from my mom and hunted around CZcams for ideas. Thank you! It too six sheets!😂
Wonderful to hear Carina! Have fun quilling!
Great ideas.
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for this! I’m definitely going to make this sleeve idea!
You are so welcome!
Cecelia, This is the supersized version of the regular-sized sheet protectors. I do love how you can see all the colors and sizes so easily. Thanks
😂 LOL Supersize me is the perfect description Pat!!! Yes I love being able to reach for the group I need all at one time - that’s probably the best time savings.
Ohh! No lo había pensado, es exactamente de ese tamaño, además podríamos adaptar ese mismo protector con la grandiosa idea de Cecelia!💕
Brilliant. I’ve tried all your previous methods too (plus a couple more). I think this will be the last method I try!
Yay! I’m thrilled to hear my method is tempting. After decades of this craft, this solution has finally met my needs and I haven’t craved a new method since. Hope you find it to be the same Steve!
I'm new to quilling. Your clear and professional communication is a great help. Thank you!
Welcome to quilling Patricia! I'm so pleased to hear that!
As a newbie quilled I love your tutorials. Thank you so much for sharing them.

Love the ideas. Like the last two ideas. Wish I knew how you sewed them together.

You can buy 35mm film sheet protectors if you are not good with a sewing machine.
Yes that’s a great way too!

I’m so glad you found a way using your food saving heat sealer. Others have used that method too. I’m glad we can all finally tame our wipe strips!

How do you protect your projects from dust and water
Please reply to me
You can use a shadow box photo frame which has more depth than a standard picture frame
How do you seal the sheets in those thin strips?
I don’t seal the sheets. I just sew a large sheet protector into channels.
Hi! I saw a plastic tube with stripes, which is the brand, I havebeen trying to remember the name! Thanks!
Glad I could help Alma!
From where u buy quilling strips
I buy them online from paperquilling.com, but you can also buy from many places online including Amazon or Quilled Creations too.

Where can i order these strips? Please some help
Amazon
Do you know the name of the IKEA shelves you got? I have been looking for something like that.
Unfortunately I don’t because I bought them off Craigslist. They are so old the wood is actually very heavy and dense - the real stuff.
How do I download templates please 🙏?
