Just went to the range the other day and I kept getting double feeds with a cheap ammo called ammo Nation if anyone sees that ammo for 22 just keep in mind you might get a misfeed or a jam
I bought mine at the beginning of covid and wasn't expecting to shoot for a while due to ammo shortages. I got lucky and found a mixed bag of random old 22lr, and I took it to the range without even cleaning it. That thing ran close to 800 rounds of that dirty old ammo flawlessly. Since then, I've only had maybe one failure due to ammo, with a good solid primer strike visible.
I don't personally carry a .22 for edc, but I will say this, carry what your comfortable with. I'm not against carrying it. (may actually carry one day) but with other options at this moment I personally choose 9mm or bigger. And my TX22's performance has shown me it is reliable enough. Appreciate you watching! 🤠👍
Carry what your comfy with, id carry this if I had it. Easy to keep on target with one hand in a stressful moment due to low recoil. Ask any of your friends if they'll let you empty a clip of 22lr or 45acp, bet they turn down both. Plus the extra capacity is nice, if you only have 1 mag would you like 8 shots of 9mm or 15+ 22LR. Personally I'd go with extra shots every time.
The idea of the 22 isn't for self defence, but for small rodents snakes etc. This is a good gun to pair with your taurus gc3 or something in 9mm. Pick up the 9mm and 200-300 rounds or more if you can swing it. Run through those to make sure you didn't get a lemon. Taurus have had a sketchy past, but you should do this regardless the brand. The tx22 would be what you use to practice with on you range and plink away without burning too big of a whole in your wallet. Those aiming skills will transfer to your carry gun. That doesn't mean don't shoot the carry gun obviously, just that you are saving money on the ammo rather than plinking with the 9mm fmj. 300 rounds of 22 is 20 bucks. The same for 9mm is about $120ish. By the time you put 600 rounds through that tx22 in practice in that pov it has almost paid for itself. But then again as a gun enthusiasts I can justify just about anything to buy another gun, so grain of salt. Lol.
I have a tx22 and I love it. Very fun at the range not to mention how ridiculously cheap the ammo is. And I like to carry it sometimes. I definitely recommend for first time gun owners
This gun runs like a CHAMP. Love my TX22. That along with my G3 has given me a whole new view on Taurus. The TX22 will eat the cheapest ammo you throw at it
@@imjusttrollingyou.5799 a little tip that I did (I know it wasn’t honest) but I registered my gun with Taurus, then emailed them saying one of the factory magazines wouldn’t feed right…they sent me a free magazine 😆
Not mine, in fact I'm I'm selling mine and upgrading to a Sig P322 because I'm done with all the failures to feed. I can count on one hand the number of times I've made it through an entire mag without issues.

I've watched you run 20 magazines through it on just this video and no malfunctions yet :)
This has been an awesome pistol. I'd like to revisit it again soon. Thanks for watching. 🤠👍
Dang those overpowered rounds were blasting powder all over ❤
Mine runs also too. On federal automatch. Which is cheap bulk ammo from Walmart.
Yep. Looks reliable to me. lol

Now where do you guys stand on carrying such a small round not knocking tx22 I have one do you think it’s reliable enough to trust your life with

I wish I loved my tx22, but I'm getting too many failures to eject! 😢
What ammo are you using?
@@KayAteChef probably some of the crappiest bulk carton ammo

I WANT ONE!!!!
12 shots?
Counted 15. Holds 16.

We have to have over a thousand rounds through ours and have had no major issues at all. What a great little pistol!
Agreed! one of my favorites. I really need to do a re-visit on this one. Thanks for your comment! 🤠👍

What do ammo do you run in the G3? I had trouble finding rounds that would feed reliably.
@@timothysutton625polish the feeding ramp on the barrel. Should feed nicely after that.

How about subsonic loads
I haven't tried any in it yet. I need to do a revisit on this, and try various loads. Great idea. 🤠👍
Hardly any semi autos will run subsonic
@@Godisgood605 well I landed up buying one since my original comment and I only run subsonic loads with no issues
This is always a fun shooter!
One of my all time favorite .22's!

Super gan bhai mero ko bhi chahiye kya dilaoge
Sar ji kitne rupaye ki hai mujhe bhi chahie
Ooooooofffffff kaha se ho bro
shes a nice tool
The ammo fails before the gun does but 22s are iffy with the reliability so it makes sense
The good stuff has become very reliable.
Looks like minimal recoil 👌 thanks for sharing 💪😆
