- This one was tricky, I found about three sources I think. There's the cassette tape, then a muffled recording from the 2000s, and two music videos that aired on Night Flight. Originally, I was going to use the second Night Flight music video, but the treble was too loud, and even after fixing that about ten seconds of the intro was still talked over by the original VJ. The other Night Flight recording was too compressed and muffled to be saved properly, and after listening to the cassette more than enough times, I realized it may be the final recording, not a demo.
So I remastered the cassette recording instead, it may be compressed to hell but to the casual listener, it sounds just fine. I did my best to remove noise without removing detail and equalize it properly according to the movie to sound as close as possible. - Hudba

Really? 1983? Right inbetween The Blue Mask and New Sensations. I thought that was a pretty good time for Lou Reed. And he did that song Little Sister the same year for the movie Get Crazy, which is a great song.

Great villain. Mok is both seductive and charming, but disgusting and diabolical. His issue is the classic "I'll do the same thing that destroyed the previous civilization!"

This song was one of the reasons I got into Lou Reed's music. Mok's character design is amazing and his character dynamic is so scary but interesting. and this a beautiful restoration of this song!

This is exactly what I needed in life
I got to see this at the cinema. I skipped school and snuck over to the Fontana for the friday matinee showing. I had seen the v spots and was dying to see it. Man, I was like the only person there. I thought about seeing it a second time the following weekend, but it was dumped after a one week run. I had to wait years for it to come out on VHS to finally see it again.

I knew about there being a music video, but never that there was another one. But I have never heard of the 2000s recording.

When I was 4 years old when I rented this movie I had my parents tape it for me on a second vcr on a blank tape and I also had my parents taped me this movie off hbo even when I was ten years old I also taped this movie off tbs as it’s been one of my favorite animated movies and fantasy movies since childhood.

If only that were possible! Unfortunately these songs are owned by their respective artists, not Nelvana, one would have to not only get the rights from the artists (and/or their respective estates and labels) but also from those who own the distribution rights to the film. I don't think that'll happen anytime soon, what's been released officially is what we have, and what hasn't, I don't know if it ever will. Debbie Harry seems to have forgotten about this film, so has Lou Reed's estate, but it's impossible to know for sure. There just isn't any real money to be had from this.

I say go for it, I don't think it'll work and there's a lot of legal mumbo jumbo and money that'd have to be spent for this soundtrack to ever see the light of day, but if you want to try your hand, I welcome it. Even if it did work by some miracle I wouldn't have to be involved at all. If Cheap Trick's, Earth, Wind FIre's, and Iggy Pop's songs have been released officially I think it's safe to assume what's left exists in their respective archives since the others have survived. And if they do, they're going to use those recordings, not the trashy mono transfers from a cassette tape I pulled online, and they'll use audio professionals, not a guy on youtube.

Oh, wow. This sounds so amazing. There's so many instruments in there that aren't in the film version (I suspect they were mixed down to avoid overshadowing Mok any). This is much more a BAND version. Is there any way to download the high quality version without CZcams's compression?

Thanks! Its been a while since I designed this, and unfortunately the PSD its gone, so I dont remember the exact process. But from what I do remember, I took the concept art collection seen on IMDB and layed each image out on top of each other with a layer filter so theyre translucent. The logo is just a direct copy and paste from the comic book, I just cropped out the background.
