- Finally after much waiting I managed to create a fairly cohesive copy of Send Love Through. No cuts, no rearrangements, all one complete waveform just with some adjustments. I used the surround sound mix from the bluray and simply deleted any audio that had overlaying dialogue, with a little boost from background channels to fill the gap. The end product I think is a fairly good version of the song, and probably the most accurate without being direct audio from the movie.
While I realize the mixing isn't great, a lot of that is MGM's fault, their mix is lacking compared to CBC's. I did try amending it but unfortunately the guitar accompaniment is too distorted to really make sound better, the most i can do is boost the vocals but I'm not entirely sure what this song should sound like. Regardless, this is what it sounds like in the film, and I'll keep it that way. - Hudba
God I can’t wait for the Technology Peter Jackson used to clean up the Beatles get back tapes to be released. It would be the best hope for this song.
A friend of mine used AI to clean up a song his dearly departed sang. FWIW it sounded very good! He said it was a rumor recording from a bar and it was a cover of a Fleetwood Mac song that she was singing. This should be explored for this soundtrack that is lost because I discovered this movie when I was a teenager in the 80s and I loved it! Thank you for sharing!

I think the secret to what sent the demon back is the unconditional love between 2 people, solidified by their singing together in harmony.
Yeah, they just took a while to realize it. Less on her side, but… it does take two.
It was literally in the prophecy. One voice, Angel's, could summon the demon, and two voices in unison, Angel's and Omar's, to send it back.
It was a turn for Omar, starting out bitter, frustrated and jealous and ending up realizing the band wasn't about it, Angel should have been the band's leader and voice, and he needed to support her, and he did in the end.
I'm so grateful you've gone through the trouble of putting this together. This movie got done so dirty in so many ways.
Oh my goodness, I've been so busy with work, I hadn't had the chance to give this a listen, but it's amazing how much clearer it sounds! I can't thank you enough for your restoration work on this soundtrack, especially pieces like this, or like Mok's songs that didn't get a rerecording/rerelease like the Cheap Trick or Earth, Wind, and Fire stuff. So so cool that you could give this the love and attention the current rights holders haven't been showing for it.
Easily the best song in the entire soundtrack! I wish there was sheet music for this movie! I’d love to sing Angel’s part.

I grew up with this movie for 37 years since I was in kindergarten when I rented it and had my parents taped it on a second vcr we had and even on hbo on a second blank tape and one of my favorite fantasy movies and animated movies
God I love this reprise... you did an amazing job, man! P.S I vaguely remember hearing a story that this was basically half of Blondie and half of Cheap Trick combined, but neither side met during recording sessions. Is that true at all?
I've heard the same story, I believe it's true but honestly I don't think there's any definitive source on it. It'd make sense, both artists were still very busy at the time.

Honestly, Rock & Rule should be presented as a stage play. With Ziggy's piecing together of the full musical pieces (as best as anyone could hope), they'd make for an epic rock opera. Forget "Rent" - it's time to Rock And Rule!

Found here, timestamped: czcams.com/video/nGQ5Y-nlfhM/video.html It says they mixed it from 600 different tracks separately recorded by Blondie, Cheap Trick, and Patricia Cullen (the score composer).
I hope the AI advances to the point we can recover this song as it was, without the sound effects and voices from the movie, just the song.
