I have to admit I’ve never seen a single frame of Blue’s Clues, but I completely understand why so many adults hold a special place in their hearts for host Steve Burns.

As someone who worked for quite some time in Children's Entertainment, I can't agree enough with the sentiment of needing to bring your "A Game" to anything you do for an audience of kids. As soon as they sense a lack of sincerity, they tune out. I could see this particularly clearly since I did a lot of live performances! If you're not giving your 110%, you lose their interest fast. They can just sense that you're phoning it in.
