  • I have to admit I’ve never seen a single frame of Blue’s Clues, but I completely understand why so many adults hold a special place in their hearts for host Steve Burns.
The sincere and emotionally intelligent Burns spoke to packed crowd on the second day of Twin Cities Con 2023 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Here’s Burns taking about acting in children’s shows, his favorite kid shows and being compared to Fred Rogers.

As someone who worked for quite some time in Children's Entertainment, I can't agree enough with the sentiment of needing to bring your "A Game" to anything you do for an audience of kids. As soon as they sense a lack of sincerity, they tune out. I could see this particularly clearly since I did a lot of live performances! If you're not giving your 110%, you lose their interest fast. They can just sense that you're phoning it in.
