    Rod's church is about fifty miles from my old Word of Faith church (I was a member there from 83 - 89, when the Lord delivered me from the lies of the Word of Faith). We had him at our inside Campmeeting in 87 or 88 and Benny Hinn after him. I was sitting in the front row with the staff (I was a staff member at the time), and Rod came "roaring" out on stage. My thought was, this guy's a "showman", and I promptly got up and walked out of the sanctuary. I have always seen him as a plastic showman. His money schemes are legendary. He owns six airplanes and proud of it. There is nothing genuine about this man. Money is his number one gig. Hinn is the same way (I didn't attend his meeting either). After Hinn's service, while I was standing near the offices, I witnessed one of the most hideous things at church ever. The rest of the staff came scurrying through the corridor toward the senior pastor's office while tightly huddled around Benny to "protect" him (the hallway had only myself and another person in it). They rushed Benny into pastor's office, while I just stood there aghast at the spectacle. The next day in the office, I asked pastor's secretary what went on in their "cone of silence" ('Get Smart', lol) meeting. She said pastor asked Benny how he had such success in his meetings. Benny said he positions "plants" in the audience to jump up and say they're healed of something. She said pastor wanted to implement this fraudulent tactic at our 2,000 member church. Neither of us liked that idea. Fortunately, pastor never attempted it. If he had, I would have blown the cover in mid service. The bigger these "pastors" are, the more plastic, heartless, self-absorbed, and greedy they are. If anyone reading this is involved in such a church, particularly Word of Faith, NAR, demon slayer, emerging, seven mountains mandate, Hillsong, etc., with a pastor with stars and money signs in his eyes, who preaches whatever tickles your ears (promises you health, healing, prosperity, hundredfold return on your giving, or promote their "anointing" or "mantle", or that God is doing a "new" thing [which I have heard for the last five decades running], have FLASE "signs and wonders" like we see on these videos, false dreams and visions, false visitations of Jesus and angels or to heaven, who don't want you to question them or their doctrine, just go with the flow), LEAVE THAT CHURCH, LIKE LOT RAN FROM SODOM!

      The fear of judgment day I felt just reading your account about those scheming preachers had just hit me.
      Due to being saved I'm not fearing the Great White Throne judgment for myself since I won't be in that line (by the holy grace of God). I fear what those schemers who play like they're pastors, preachers, priests, or any other leadership under God are going to face.
      I can't imagine having to face the Most High for misleading and scamming people by perversely using the name of Jesus to get their money for my own personal gain. You have to have a serious lack of any fear of God or even a lack of belief in Jesus to use the name of the Lord just to rip folks off and not feel stark terror for doing so. For those false church leaders who don't repent and believe on the Lord Jesus, their day of judgment is going to be a severely dreadful one. I pray they turn away from their wickedness.

    • @AtTheDockOfTheBay
      @AtTheDockOfTheBay Před měsícem

      @@apexone5502 According to scripture, those who will go through the judgment of the "goats", Jesus will say to them the most awful words, "I NEVER knew you! Depart from Me you workers of iniquity!" The charlatans never were saved, but are ministers of Satan, that's what a wolf in sheep's clothing is--all facade, but no substance. They won't turn away from their wickedness because they enjoy ripping off Jesus' sheep. If the truth were known, many of them are Freemasons, others are steeped in mystery religions, some are witches and satanists, and others are just plain greedy, who have seen that their "pastorate"/teacher position, apostleship and "office" of prophet is the easiest moneymaker in the world. For all they have to do is "play" the role (act) and they get to roll in it without ever getting their hands dirty, and become an "exclusive" individual with fame, fortune, and power.

      agreed. and please follks, stop calling these people 'pastor' like it's their first name. in the churches i served and was a member of, the pastor (head speaker) was always treated like a demi-god. when, interestingly, we're actually all brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

    • @AtTheDockOfTheBay
      @AtTheDockOfTheBay Před 29 dny

      @@su.... I wasn't going to call my ex-pastor by his own name on here for obvious reasons, so I had to call him pastor.
      One afternoon in our staff meeting, the senior pastor and his administrator wife and Rhema Bible College graduate son told us that they wanted more "professionalism" out of us. When we address them, particularly before others, we were to call the by their coveted titles, "Pastor" So-And-So, or just "pastor." Then they asked us what we wanted to be called. When they got to me, I said I wanted to be called "Apostle" (and my name), and everybody laughed except for the senior pastor and his wife and son. I didn't give a flip, and I'm sure they knew it but never said anything to me about it. We used to call them by their "names." Gosh, how shameful! I wish I knew back then what I know now, ha, ha, I would have really turned the tables on them.
      And I recall how people catered to them hand and foot, but wouldn't consider doing the same for the poor and afflicted saints in the church, as if they weren't worth their time. We have this worship-like attitude toward pastors and such that we think that if we do special things for them, we gain favor with Jesus. If we serve the Lord as Joshua served the Lord by serving Moses, that's fine. But let us not forget all the others in the congregation.
      But you are correct. If people place their pastor on a pedestal to the point they are infallible, as if they were an apostle sent down from heaven, and he eats it up, or even demands it, they should leave that church.

      Seen it too! And they do not pay their employees comparable wages for the jobs they perform. Went to the church and Bible school back in the 90’s and they were paying the students barely minimum wage. I was married so I didn’t have financial problems but I felt so sorry for those students (especially the international students) because most were struggling terribly. When they complained about their wages they were told to use their faith instead of complain. I was a new Christian and my unsaved husband hated World Harvest and Rod Parsley. He said he was fake and wanted me to stop going there. I’m no longer married to him but unfortunately he thought Christianity was a joke. He mainly felt that way because of World Harvest and all the financial and healing scams that went on there. I pray one day that his eyes are opened to the truth as God has opened mine.

    I worked for his college for several years. For those who don't know, his college is on the same property as his church. Basically, you can exit the church, walk down a sidewalk, and then walk into the building that houses the college. You might wonder why I stayed that long. There were a few reasons, but one was that it was a long time before I really got to see who Rod Parsley was. Except for his "inner circle," much of the staff there is kept away from him. I would actually go for weeks--months, even--without seeing or hearing Rod Parsley, even though I worked for his organization. I didn't attend his church on Sundays. I attended a different church. The few times I did see Rod Parsley around the place, he was usually just fine in how he treated other people (though there were times when his behavior was questionable, but not exactly appalling, at least not to me). That's the thing. Just like the commenter in this video said, Rod is typically (though not always) just fine when the cameras are on and everyone is watching. He'll stand on the stage and smile and put his arm around the people that work for them and act like he loves them. He usually only acts the way he did in this video clips when he is behind closed doors and is convinced no one else from outside the ministry can hear him. Most of the time, I only saw his "good side," the side he shows when the cameras are on. However, one day, a bunch of us from the college were called into a private meeting with him. It was then when I saw who he really was. He acted EXACTLY like he did in these videos.

    Truth be told a lot of people are afraid to address this because people are trained to submit to authority just like folks did during the plannedemic . As believers in Jesus there is a guilt and it is programmed into many folks even when some of these pastors and ministers minister. It’s instilled to obey your leaders without question.. I was in a ministry where I was in a controlling situation. Even if they aren’t fussing like Rod folks are told to obey their leaders or your rebellious and you know it’s a sin . Thankfully I go to a ministry with strong Holy Spirit filled leaders who I don’t feel that pressure as in a previous ministry. This seems like a ministry that would guilt you if you leave are plan to leave that church where he pastors. Many as well as myself really like his strong stance against sin and living right however it doesn’t excuse for him to be what I would say is controlling.. People have no idea how often this goes on and people in the more recent years have beginning to expose more.. It’s sad another guy in ministry to add to the list. 😞.. I mean the naughty list..
