I think it would have been possible if she didn't hit him or if she did it was playfully, if she never cheated on him, locked him up, and lied to him about her pregnancy. It could have worked. This is one my comfort movies. Love it to this day and apparently a lot of people didn’t like it when it came out which surprised me and it also took me a while to realize that Rasputia was played by Eddie Murphy 💀 I thought she was a real actress until I looked at the DVD cover and it just said Eddie Murphy on it and I put 2&2 together😭

I clearly remember it like it was yesterday when I went to the theaters with my friend to watch this. It premiered that day too. It was 2006 or 2007. I was 13. Me and my friend coated our faces in maybelline mousse foundation and creamy eyeshadow with the great American lash mascara in blue . I had to add this makeup style because it’s so true . And when we entered the room where the movie was showing , it was so effin packed there was not one seat available ! Me and my friend noticed there were people sitting on the floor and so we did that ! A bit awkward but totally worth it . We laughed our ass off !
