I’ve been using Riverside for a little while now but haven’t gone too deep into the editing tools. Had no idea you could edit the transcript and it’ll also take out the corresponding video portion. That’s amazing. Thank you.

Would love to see your post processing for a video podcast, particularly any audio clean up you do after you download it out of riverside, both adjustments better-quality mics and how you handle audio when a guest has a noticeably lower audio quality than yours and how to make that difference less noticeable.

Tyler this was EXCELLENT 👏 The vertical video and the transcription was so awesome to see. I’ve been using zoom for my podcasts and this is definitely something I’ll look into. Do you know if you can add a background or touch up appearance like in Zoom? Great video!🎉
It’s not built in to Riverside but if you’re using a Mac you can control blur and lighting. Or if you get the app Camo I mentioned, it can do it all

Great video! Do you have tips on how to suggest your guest to set up if they don’t have a good mic? Or external mic or background isn’t optimal etc

Hi Tyler, Thanks for this video. Is it essential for your guests to have a mic on their computer or will their computer mics still be good when recording?
Thanks Tyler, amazing video. A few things:
-Tripod: what’s the tripod you’re using for your XLR microphone. I’m using Goby tripods, but not that happy about it (use too much space on the desk, could look more minimalist/nice)
-Mic: surprised you don’t mention/use a Shure SM7B as it’s the most used premium mic. Or is Logitech one of your sponsors? 😜
-Riverside: would have been good to see the downsides/limitations as well, even if it’s sponsored. I’ve tried it and it’s still very buggy (hard to connect, stream disconnecting, most features/UX feel in beta, 20€/month minimum). It’s the best option out there but still not that perfect as it sounds
Hi Tyler. My podcast has three main hosts, and we always record in the same room. We run 3 xlr mics into one mixer that feeds one audio line into Logic Pro, and then we also do 3 canon cameras for video feed that I edit with Final Cut multicam.
Using our current setup, how would you recommend we go about using riverside to bring in a remote guest?

How far is Riverside when you stream to CZcams vs StreamYard, for example?

StreamYard has more options for sure, it's made for it. When I stream the podcast I go direct out of Riverside because I don't need the extra features.

Curious to know if there are AV synch issues when inputting your mirrorless and mic into the MBP.
There certainly can be, it's basically a hardware issue. My easy work around that is if I'm using an external camera, I always try to run the audio through the camera. It's takes away all the guess work
How did you get riverside/mac os to auto detect the iPhone?
That's just built into Mac OS Ventura, you just need your phone horizontal near the computer and it show up as a camera option.
What is the equivelant of camo studio for Android?

is riverside and stream yard comparable?
The levels of the audio in this video change a lot. Seems that Riverside still have issues with the audio.
That wasn’t recorded through Riverside, it’s just the my primary mic was on the camera side and when I looked away the levels dipped more than expected. I was hoping I’d evened them out but I guess not enough 🫣
Did it need the video guest to have also riverside? I mean a paid account
Guests don't need a paid account. They don't even need to sign up for an account or install anything. They join by clicking on the call link.

@@Riversidefmdo you record the hosts side locally at the guests or hosts network? Just wondering what if the guests has a bad internet, will that ruin the recording when the speed is slow?
@@maradusek Both the host and guest sides are recorded locally so bad internet won't ruin the recording quality
