When I have very soft pencils my mom gave me a great tip put them in the fridge over night before sharpening, not the freezer because the freezer actually damages the molecules and it will be different once it defrosts. You can also keep the ones you are not using at the moment in the fridge all the time :) I hope that helps.

Hi Didi! Yes, I do root the silicone dolls the same way. The head is upside down, towards me. I hope that helps!
