    • @zreed13
      @zreed13 Před rokem

      This is a static load case which is not in the time domain. There is no concept of time so it can be assumed that the pusher is displaced with an infinite amount of time. ie. quasi-static loading, or maybe better stated, infinitely 'slow' loading.

    Hello Sir, thank you for your informative video. good job.I have an issue here. I set up my model exactly like you did in this video but I cant get it converged. even I try different contact formulations and different strategies like applying displacement gradually but still does not converge. but when I run the set up with steel or other linear material it works. what do you think the problem might be?

    • @ANSYS-India
      @ANSYS-India  Před 9 lety

      +Chandra Sekhar Chandra, the splitting of the face was done in CAD, you can do in the ANSYS by using the design modeler tool

    I have 2 questions?
    1) at which rate the pusher was coming? by rate i mean velocity?
    2) how this analysis is different from impact analysis (Explicit dynamics) ?
    thanks

    • @ANSYS-India
      @ANSYS-India  Před 8 lety

      1/ here the time is not realistic so velocity is not valid
      02/ this is implicit analysis

      +GRS CAD/CAE What is the right way to calculate end time. i am very curious about this i have watched many videos but none ever explained how the end time is calculated. But every one is saying end time is important..

    how did you calculate those multilinear isotropic hardening parameters??? In my situation, I have only force-displacement values from tensile test of specific material and I need to define the multilinear parameters....thanks in advance. R

    • @ANSYS-India
      @ANSYS-India  Před 8 lety

      Stress= load/ Area of cross section & Stain= change in length/original length, this formula was applied for each load step applied. Let me know whether your question was answered.

    • @renekubik4660
      @renekubik4660 Před 8 lety

      +GRS CAD/CAE
      I´m aware of those equations. I could calculate stress, but you don´t know the value of cross section (unless you are calculating with initial cross section = engineering stress/strain). And I´m not able to calculate the strain, because I lack the "change in lenght" parameter. For obtaining the real parameters we performed a tensile test of specific material and obtained four parameters: force, two type of displacement (but not change in length) and time. Secondary, during these test there are calculated parameters such as strain hardening exponent, so I thougth of using Hollomon´s hardening law ....
