My personal interpretation is that red is about trying to gain sexual attention, black is intimidating, and warm colors like white makes you more approachable and easy to talk to, makes people open their heart and trust you more.
I had to go to court once and I just intuitively became aware of the influence of colour so I thought the most subconsciously influencing colour would be to look like I was a police officer. I chose a navy suit, with a sky blue shirt and navy tie.
I was pretty sure it would be helpful, but holy hell was it effective, police officers were like putty in my hand it was incredibly.
Definitely going to take some time to dress myself accordingly before my next meeting!
Hey Rebecca! I LOVE this topic! I've never thought about color psychology quite like this. I watched the whole thing and I learned so much!!! My fav colors to wear are purple, blue, red, green (read: jeweltone shades) and of course, black. Lotssssss of black in my closet, haha. đ đ¤ I love also how you didn't just talk about the basic colors themselves but also the variations in shades and how they might influence the situation. This is so true- I love blue and purple for meetings. Never really thought about the green . Funny thing though bc I used to use color for helping my husband dress for his trials and to assist his clients with dressing for their defense- now I am divorcing this narc attorney-who of course is representing himself ! how ironic

Sooo temporary orders hearing via ZOOM tomorrow...Iâve been wearing white and cream to mediation and hearings...I have temporary orders hearing on Fri...with an impatient judge influenced by the op. I have a beautiful dusty lavender dress...I have Navy. I wondered what you would wear? Ivory, Lavender, Navy? Is Navy like black or blue? I also have a very vibrant periwinkle dress that I donât love...what would you wear Rebecca?
None of the âgoodâ colors for negotiation flatter my skin tone (at least as pure hues), and the colors that I CAN wear are red, black, white, and army/olive green. DRAB colors (whatever has grey added to it to mute the brightness) look good on me. Colors otherwise sit on top of my skin or wash me out.
I love color psychology, particularly for use in interior design...or really anywhere and anything. Itâs interesting to see and feel it working on me...great way to manipulate my own moods. As for negotiation, I guess Iâll have to find another angle of strategy. đ¤ˇââď¸

Orange????? No way. A combination of neutral warm tones is good, with a touch of colour like on a Hermes scarf. Real class. I did 60 negotiations in international relations. It works best.
