Basically, she's right! As you will soon see however, the noodles here are NOT designed for a noodle-challenge-type meal. This really is a traditional noodle recipe, they just make a TON of noodles, and serve them in somewhat small portions, and do it at an incredibly low price.*
Not only that, this price hasn't changed through the past decade, hasn't changed during the recent restrictions, price raises, or anything - its basically a beautiful community noodle hangout thats (almost) totally unaffected and care-free as to what the rest of the world is facing right now.
Whatever your current situation in life, no matter how much work is on the table today, I hope and I pray that this video just brings some smiles and happiness into your life - it is an honor to have you hanging out with Li and myself today, we love having you here, thanks for all the wonderful messages and support this week.

Well, I wasn't going to write until I listened to the 'slurpability' locution (over and over again) on the theme of the Magnificence of Noodles in Thailand. I was going to wait until 500+ views, but such a word and theme deserve recognition at the 300+ comment threshold (the 304th comment). I will practice my slurpability skills under the auspices of the Magnificence of Noodles in Thailand soon, I hope!

Btw, our favourite noodle joint is RimPing Boat Noodle ก๋วยเตี๋ยวห้อยขา ริมน้ำปิง, Wat Ket, on the river....you'll pay a little more but still cheap and right on the river with the magnificent river views.

Li is such wonderful support. She clearly does plenty of camera work and probably plenty of other behind the scenes work like research and editing. She also exudes personality when she gets on camera. I would love to see an episode where she is the star and Joel is the support.
Very cool comment :-) it is TOTALLY a team effort, I do all the computer stuff, she does all the motivational stuff (which one is bigger varies from video to video) - so yes it is completely a two-person team, has been from day 1, it’s just that (as you point out) you’re seeing her on screen a bit more now 😆

Can't believe there are still 3-bahts noodles around, and it is a decent portion! I think there are some 10-bahts noodles around in Bangkok, but it is about one or two mouthful portion, that's it!

Hi Joel and Li ❤️🙏. This was maybe my favourite video yet 🤣🤣🤣. I can eat but I wouldn't be able to eat half of that ! That's a lots of noodles. Haven't eaten yet because it 5 am and my stomach hurts just watching this. Did shed a little food tear when you didn't finish the broth. That's my favourite part of noodle dishes. It all looked delicious and love the vibe in that restaurant. We have similar restaurants but with grilled meats and side dishes. You pay for the meat and they give the veg and carbs free. They mainly make money off the South African drinking culture. People buy lots of beer and that's expensive. The more thet drink the more they eat as well. When I was younger I could eat so much more. On my 9th birthday my parents took me out for dinner at an all you can eat rib restaurant and I ate so much they cut me off 🤣. Clearly Li shares my love for ribs. I had 11 racks of roughly 400 to 500 grams each and I was 9. They came with a side of pumpkin, creamed spinach and chips as well. Now I could maybe manage 2 plates on a good day or preferably just 1. Have a blessed and Beautiful day 🤗❤️🙏

@@maxf3253 yes I had a massive appetite until my early thirties and battled to gain weight. Only eat like normal person since having hyperthyroidism. Feeling a bit better and figured I best respond to people before they think I'm dead. Have a beautiful day. Hugs 🤗

Jeff!!! Hey buddy, well... from memory, I think I FINALLY figured out that this would be 22 bowls. I didn't order a full set of chicken pork AND beef for every dish, but if you also wanted to be really specific, I think it would then have to be 66 bowls to LITERALLY do "One of everything." I dont know if that would be possible but, I would love to try... WITH YOU!

I noticed the first family behind you brought their own zip lock bag. As they wrapped up the meal it looked like they intentionally left a lot of broth in the bowls. They were pouring each bowl into the bag to take home. Very frugal. What a soup base.

They were all dangerous and very painful and, we agreed never to do it again Ha ha ha that was sometime around the age of 18 or 19 I can’t remember

Hi Jackie!! I studied at home just with a pen and paper for about four weeks every day, and then I went out and practiced in the streets and in the markets for another two months. I did this every day for several hours, and that was it!!
